Stick Note

“Use StickNote to make files, save the files online, and go back to your files whenever you want.”

OS Design 5/10
This is an interesting OS style project, one that is actually useful for a normal person to use. All it attempts to be is a remembrance system, not a fake computer. In the future, you will be able to save your notes and have a semi-secure login, until then, remixing the project without sharing it is the only way to save your notes. I wish a bit more was going on in this OS, as the creator definitely knows how to make a practical project.

Originality 3/10
I wish I could say this was original, but a few different OS projects I've seen do contain some form of note system, though this one is clearly superior to the others, at least in my experience. Credit for not just making another fake computer though.

Ease of Use 9/10
Pretty much everything in this project is very self-explanatory. If you click login on the main menu, it then explains that upcoming feature, while providing an obvious route back to the menu. While using the project, it's a simple process, click add note, type your note, and press enter. The only reason this doesn't have a ten is because no project is perfect, and I'm very reluctant to give perfect scores to anything.

Graphics 3/5
The graphics were fine in this project, but points were deducted for using pretty generic images, and the slight difficulty I had in reading the font of the explanation for the login button not working.

Sound 0/5
Well, there was no sound, so…Try adding some sound effects, maybe some pleasant background music, and you'll do better here.

Firing Round 5/10 (This is the addition of the following scores)
Reliability 2/2
0 (Very Glitchy) 1 (A few glitches) 2 (Hardly any glitches)
Variety 0/2
0 (Little to do) 1 (Decent amount) 2 (Lots of things to do)
Lag 2/2
0 (Very slow) 1 (Decent in most places) 2 (No lag)
Replay Value 1/2
0 (Would never reuse/ did not want to finish it the first time) 1 (Might reuse) 2 (Too good to stop!)
Programming 0/2
0 (Simple to make) 1 (Fairly advanced) 2 (It was very complex)

Overall Experience 20/50
Like I said, this is a very practical project. This doesn't make it “enjoyable” necessarily, but its practical value is really what's carrying it here. Most people could do with a note system of some kind, and this is easily a viable option for people needing to remember things. I would suggest adding sound, maybe change the font you used to make it slightly easier to read, and add a bit more to its functionality. This project has great potential, and I'd love to see it flourish into a masterpiece, so keep working on it!

TOTAL: 45/100

Key
0-19 I could have made that in my sleep!
20-39 Needs a lot of work.
40-59 An average project I suppose.
60-79 Quite a cool project.
80-94 Wow! It only needs a bit of tweaking.
95-100 You're the top cat!

Comeback time? Maybe?

Spritepocalypse

“This is the biggest project I have ever made. It started as a completely different project, but has ended up as a first-person shooter in a post-apocalyptic world.”

Game Design 7/10
Not many people are messing around with 3D on Scratch, especially not 3D FPS games. This one was pretty well done, with plenty of options to make the game suit its players. I really enjoyed playing this game, and every time those sprites finally caught up to me, I was ready to go back in there and let em' have some! A very fun game!

Originality 7/10
You get another seven here, because many people have had aspirations to make a 3D FPS game, though few succeed. I thought that using the Scratch 2.0 sprites as evil nuclear altered sprites was interesting, and a bit refreshing from the overload of zombie related things today. This was a very well thought out game in my opinion.

Ease of Use 2/5
As far as this is concerned, it was relatively easy to use. I would suggest having an option of using the arrow keys or wasd to move, as I was confused for a minute there. The only other thing detracting from this score is the lag, which makes the game impossible to win if the sprites get within a certain distance of you, or if you're forced to use the sniper's zoom function.

Difficulty Balance 5/5
I was blown away in this category, as I don't normally offer perfect scores in any category. This game was wonderfully balanced, with easy being easier, and hard being near impossible (Maybe that's just me ). In each of the three difficulty settings, things got gradually harder as the game went on, giving it a sense of depth. This is an exemplary game in this category, and people could learn from it.

Graphics 4/5
This category was great too (surprise surprise), I really liked the font of the game, and the Scratch Sprites were obviously well done as they came mostly stock. I really loved the rendering of those 3D rectangular prisms, it was about as good as Scratch can get in that category. The stars were a nice effect too.

Sound 4/5
The music in your game went straight to my backpack, if that gives you any clue of how much I liked it. The sound effects were appropriate for the game, and added to great music, equals a good score in this category.

Firing Round 8/10 (This is the addition of the following scores)
Reliability 1/2
0 (Very Glitchy) 1 (A few glitches) 2 (Hardly any glitches)
Game Length 2/2
0 (Too Short) 1 (Decent Length) 2 (Long lasting or endless)
Game Pace 2/2
0 (Very slow or too long for it's own sake) 1 (Quite engrossing) 2 (Very well paced and fun)
Replay Value 1/2
0 (Would never replay/ did not want to finish it the first time) 1 (Might replay) 2 (Too good to stop!)
Programming 2/2
0 (Simple to make) 1 (Fairly advanced) 2 (It was very complex)

Overall Experience 43/50 (I really thought this deserved the 80-94 category, hence the random 3 points here)
This is one of the best games I've seen in a while, definitely deserving of the love it I gave it! It was very good in every category, easily one of the best projects reviewed by myself or the hideout. I can't offer much in the way of suggestions, it's already really great! I hope the ST finishes their fix for the graphics bug soon, so we can play this game nearly lag free!

Hello there.

I put in a review for Disaster Struck Area: Pure Luck Game a while ago, and you said it was too much like I was yelling at the creator. So I revised it and then I replied I'd fixed it.

It seems my points are not going up though, and I am worried I will lose points for inactivity.

Can you let me know if there is a problem???

Thanks!

Moving on from Scratch, to much bigger things. It's gonna be one fun adventure.

I added this project to the gallery. CAA14 and I are friends on here, so I thought I'd put it here. You might consider it for the Worth Mentioning section next week, as it's an attempt to bring out creative art in everyone on Scratch.

Comeback time? Maybe?

Thanks for the review. I'll be sure to add more to it as well as optimize the lag a bit.

I asked for something to be reviewed, and it never was.

Girlfriends are fun, aren't they?

That means I just got a girlfriend. Only problem is I have no idea what to do! That sucks. A lot.

My points seem to be the same… I did see that it was on the review list, which is great!

But I do want to be able to earn some points… Again, if there is a problem, I will fix it.

Added! But if you want to make changes to it you may want to re-read it anyway. I know that when I re-read something after leaving it for a few days I have loads of issues with it that I didn't have at the time. You may even increase/decrease the score after playing the game again, but this more of something to do when you're bored.
