I memorise it in sets of threes, it makes it easier because then it's just a matter of connecting the sets, and being a musician that's not too hard. There is a kind of flow, of music to a string of numbers, that its like memorising a song - You say aloud a set of numbers, or sing a line of words, and the next set, or line, just flows after it.
