Explore 3.4, Scratch mod
I mean, I'm liam48D. I've kinda always been interested in Explore, so I'll definitely be one to keep an eye out for updates and such.Wow, instant response °o° Hadn't thought, that there would still be so much interest!Oh, that's cool Sorry for not updating, but Explore is actually alive!
It's progressing slowly (like 0.5days/week time to work on it), but it's at least something!
Any updates, even rare ones, would be appreciated, of course..

Will somebody notice this? I'm still alive. Those six years went by like nothing. Enjoy 2020.

Install Explore 3.4 using the EXE installer and it should be included. Then go to Anyone know where I can download Explore2EXE? I can't seem to find a working link.

It seems like most of the DL links on the website return a Dropbox 404 error. The installer's a good example.

Hey question to people developing Explore now,
Can I make my own version of Explore in C/++ and D
I'm just learning these languages and it would be fun to have do as a small background thing
I'll of course give credit to everything and add the credits from the credits file that came with Explore 3.3+
Here's my progress so far

You need to compile ScratchPlugin for Squeak. Then the Presentation Mode will work. Two problems:http://download.scratch.mit.edu/source-code/ScratchPluginSrc1.4.zip
- I'm doing this mod off of the source code. Various features of the mod, like entering presentation mode or opening/importing a project, do not work. For instance, the File>Open button gives this error:
It seems like maybe part of opening a project is undefined? Is this supposed to happen in the Scratch Source code? How can I fix things like this?UndefinedObject(Object)>>error:
UndefinedObject(Object)>>doesNotUnderstand:
ScratchFileChooserDialog>>labelForHomeFolder
ScratchFileChooserDialog>>addShortcutButtons
ScratchFileChooserDialog>>type:
ScratchFileChooserDialog class>>openScratchFileFor:
ScratchFrameMorph>>openScratchProject
CustomMenu(SelectionMenu)>>invokeOn:at:
ScratchFrameMorph>>fileMenu:
ScratchMenuTitleMorph>>mouseDown:- Another problem: I have created two categories, called “Connect” and “More”. They show up on the category panes, but when I try to use the blocks I have put in them, they do not do anything. The blocks are colored red (like the obsolete blocks) but I added in the code to make them a different color. Any way to make them work again?
Thanks you!

Nice news: GP has been released as a public beta.
What is GP??? GP is a free, general-purpose blocks programming language (similar to MIT's Scratch) that is powerful yet easy to learn. It runs on most platforms, including laptops, Chromebooks, tablets, and web browsers.
Try out the new beta version of GP now!
