This was made for me to sorta organize what I know too

Jupiter

• is the biggest planet in our solar system
  

• is the fifth planet from the sun, neighboring Mars and Saturn!
  

• has at least 95 moons
  

• One of the Jupiters moons is Ganymade
  

• Ganymade might have an ocean inside it! Scientists think aliens might be swimming in there!
  

• A storm has been on Jupiter for over 300 years. Thats the Red Spot!
  

• The Red Spot can fit 3 Earths inside!
  

• Jupiter also has faint rings and a strong magnetic field.
  

• It's primarily made up of hydrogen and helium, with no solid surface.
  

• If Earth were the size of a grape, Jupiter would be about as big as a basketball. From an average distance of 484 million miles (778 million kilometers), Jupiter is 5.2 astronomical units away from the Sun.
  

Jupiter is 318 times more massive than Earth and more than twice as massive as all other planets in the solar system combined.
Imagine how big Jupiter must be!

Stars and Black Holes!

A star is a big ( and by “big” I mean seriously big ) ball made mostly of helium and hydrogen.

Depending on their temperature, they can be red, orange, yellow, blue, or white. The hot stars are blue, while the coldest are red.

There are different types of stars, such as supergiants and binary stars!

The sun is a star! It's a yellow dwarf. A million earths could fit inside the sun!!

Some stars can be smaller than the sun. Though, many stars are a million times bigger than the sun! I'm not exaggerating!

A galaxy is a big group of star. A galaxy can have millions of stars, while there are millions of galaxies out there!

A star is born in a nebula. Stars can also die after they run out of energy!

A big star can become a black hole by collapsing on it self! Don't worry, the sun is too small though!

Constellations are a group of stars that seem to form a picture! There are 88 constellations! A long time ago, people used constellations to determine the time of the year! Many constellations also have a backstory about how they came to be! Here are some I know :

Orion the hunter fought a deadly scorpion named Scorpius. He sadly died, and became a constellation The scorpion also became a constellation, but they're kept on different sides so they don't fight again!

Orion's large hunting dog also became a constellation! It is called the “Canis Major”. “Canis” is a type of dog and “major” means large or great!

The brightest star in the Canis Major is Sirius! Which is why Sirius Black from Harry Potter turns into a dog!

Speaking of Harry Potter, did you know that Regulus and Bellatrix were also stars? Draco is a dragon constellation. Andromeda is a galaxy and constellation! How smart!?!?!?

Imagine a cosmic vacuum cleaner in space, but instead of sucking up dust, it sucks up everything, even light! That's what a black hole is: a region in space with such strong gravity that nothing, not even light, can escape.

Theoretically, nothing, not even light, can escape from inside a black hole's event horizon due to its immense gravity, but some particles and energy can escape through Hawking radiation and relativistic jets.

Black holes themselves are invisible, but astronomers can “see” them by observing the effects of their intense gravity!

Mars

• Mars is the 4th planet from the sun, neighboring Earth and Jupiter
  

• Mars is about half the size of Earth, and like its fellow terrestrial planets, it has a central core, a rocky mantle, and a solid crust
  

• Mars is often called the “Red Planet” for it's color
  

• It is roughly half the size of Earth and has a diameter of about 4,222 miles (6,794 km)
  

• It has a thin atmosphere, seasons, polar ice caps, and evidence of past liquid water
  

• Mars has two small, irregular moons, Phobos and Deimos
  

• A Martian day (sol) is about 24 hours and 37 minutes, and a Martian year is 687 Earth days
  

• The gravity on Mars is about 37% of Earth's gravity. You could jump 3 times higher on Mars!
  

• The largest volcano in the solar system, Olympus Mons, is located on Mars
  

• Mars is red due to iron oxide (rust) in the soil and dust
  

• Like Earth, Mars has seasons due to its axial tilt

Exoplanets

An exoplanet is any planet beyond our solar system. Most of them orbit other stars, but some free-floating exoplanets, called rogue planets, are untethered to any star.

As of 26 March 2025, there are 5,867 confirmed exoplanets in 4,377 planetary systems, with 985 systems having more than one planet.

Here are some exoplanets :

• GJ 504b is a planet that is so vibrantly magenta! It is estimated to be 4 times larger than Jupiter!
  

• HD 189733b has rains made out of sharp blades of molten glass and wing speeds are faster than the speed of sound.
  

• PSR B1620-26 b is the oldest planet known and is 3 times as old as Earth!
  

Here is a very famous Exoplanet called J1407b :

Why is it so famous? It has a ring system that stretches 200 times farther than Saturns! If J1407b spun where Saturn is, its rings would appear to be several times the size of a full moon in the night sky!!!

Venus

• Venus is the 2nd planet from the sun, neighboring Mercury and Earth!
  

• Venus has closest size to Earth than any other planet in our Solar System! Earth is bigger though.
  

• Venus is also the hottest planet! It has average temperature 867°F (464°C)!
  

• Venus doesn't have any moons
  

• A day on Venus is longer than a year! This is because it rotates slower than it orbits the sun. A day on Venus lasts for 243 Earth days or 5,832 hours! A year is 225 Earth days.

Why is Venus more hot than Mercury?

Venus has many clouds made out of sulfuric acid. These clouds trap heat inside. Mercury doesn't have clouds.

Yes, this is what is called the greenhouse effect. It is also responsible for keeping our planet hot (15ºC), which would otherwise be freezing cold!

Alien is the term for any living organism outside Earth ( no astronauts do not count ). Aliens can be.. well anything! They are not necessarily those weird green guys with those buggy eyes. They might look like spiders or fish or maybe even leafbugs! They might even look just like us!

Also here is something I want to clarify: An alien does not have to be an animal or a person. It can be a plant!! Or even bacteria!

Why Aliens Probably Exist

Nothing has actually proven that aliens exist yet, but there are many reasons why they probably do.

1. There is more to the universe than our solar system! There are many other solar systems out there as well! In fact, scientists believe 94% of stars have planets orbiting them. Anyways with that many planets and moons in our universe, it wouldn't make sense that Earth is the one planet out of all of them to be a Goldilocks Planet.

2. Tardigrades ( also known as the Water Bear ) are a type of arthropods known for their ability to survive in outer space!! If an animal from Earth can survive in outer space, why can't aliens?

If you can think of any more reasons, feel free to post some here!

Fun fact : According to a servey, 56.9 percent said they believe in aliens, 61.4 percent believe in ghosts, and 70.3 percent say they believe in the devil, which is lower than the 85.4 percent who say they believe in God.

No, tardigrades don't count as aliens.

K2-18b

What is K2-18b?

K2-18b is a planet with a 99.7% chance of aliens!

Why are the chances so high?

Scientists have detected DMS and DMDS on K2-18b. These are molecules produced by living organisms. K2-18b is also in an habitable area, meaning where it's star is not too far.

What is holding back the 0.3%?

JWST ( James Webb Space Telescope ) detects super faint signals, that could have been blurred by the Earth's atmosphere or smth, so it might be false. DMDS and DMS can also come from volcanos or other chemical reactions. Also, we don't have any pictures of evidence yet.

Sigma Levels

K2-18b has a 3 sigma confidence. You want a 5 sigma confidence to be sure there is life out there.
