*** Note that you should discuss about games you're developing outside of Scratch, not a Scratch project you're working on.
Welcome to the Game Dev Topic!
Are you facing some problems with game dev, or do you want to discuss topics on creating and developing games? If so, this is the right place!
For any game developers or aspiring game devs, feel free to talk about your game!
Let's start with myself, I am working on my first game outside of Scratch – Zachary, made in Godot. I'd been working on it for over 5 months, and I'm pretty experienced with both the engine and game development itself.
Please tell me if you found a possible dupe or if you own a similar topic.

I am really good at Twine, and at least competently good at Quest, Inform 7, Unity and Bitsy! (although Twine, Quest and Inform 7 are more so interactive fiction makers than video game makers per-se)

I prefer gamemaker 2
I used to use Godot, but I decided to use game maker 2. It's best for 2d games, especially Undertale or Deltarune fan games.

I am trying to make a game like baldi's basics. What game engine should I use?Well, BB itself was made in Unity so obviously the most accurate language would be unity.
However, even UNITY is hard to grasp for beginners like myself so I would probably start with a 2D prototype on Scratch first.

Any beginner friendly engines?Discounting AI-powered game engines (because A] most of them are only free up until a certain point and B] you don't have ownership over the end result), Scratch is by far the easiest. The second easiest would probably be something like Pygame
