~Introduction~

TcX is a collaboration created by tcodina which has intended to create a programming language in Scratch, but failed due to the lack of interest. Now, we would like to start over and create something together. Stay tuned to know about it!

~Important info~

You can only join if we accept new Members. Sorry!

The collaboration is being restarted, so expect major changes in the topic!

InTheClouds, our programming language, has been cancelled because people didn't feel good making it. Expect another project though!

~Be a member~

Currently useless due to the fact that we're not accepting members

Just post below entering this:

~Project example:
~Member category (See the categories available below or suggest a new one)
~How active will you be?(From 0 to 10)

~After being accepted you'll be officially in the collaboration, but being Newbie.

~When you entered this, you have to make something needed on a TcX project being developed to be a Member.

~If you make a good afford to the collaboration you may be a Ranked Member, that will be like a moderator in the collab. If you have done something, that wasn't necessary, but it was good, you'll be a Senior Member.

~Making a good effort to the collaboration doesn't mean that you are a Ranked Member, you'll be on the process of getting a Ranked Member. All members will have to vote if they agree making you a Ranked Member. If you get though this last requisite, you'll be officially a Ranked Member.

~You may be removed from a rank if some users report you.

~Categories of members~

No, those are not ranks. They are just to assign you tasks more precisely depending on the category you are at. Here are the able:

~Programming

~Design

~Idea

~Advertising

~Beta testers

~Music artists

~Web ~ Tcodina will work on that alone, for now.

~Members~

~Tasks~

WIP

~I may get rid of this section, but if I don't I will add new tasks~

~TcX's Wiki~

Crystollo, a Moderator in our collaboration, decided to make a Wiki to write articles about TcX. Feel free to contribute!

Check out the wiki

~Notes~

~The collaboration originally worked on a programming language, but it had to be cancelled because there wasn't much interest. TcX facts

Wow, sounds like something I would do! I can't help for about two weeks, but I would be happy to help! Something may come up though.

Thanks! You'll be mentioned on the final product and on this topic. Just make a look at the alpha. I'll be updating all things here and on the alpha.

Ok, if I may, I would like to join. I already have a new feature demo here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/10234891/. I don't know if you've heard of functions in JavaScript or Python or some other language, but it's set of code that can be called over and over and over again. Sorta like the Make-A-Block feature. I shoulda remixed the original project but at the time I wasn't thinking of joining. If you like it and want to use it, then I can go through the original project and adapt my demo project to the original so you won't have to go to that trouble. I also have a feature that will check to see if a letter is placed in a number input. Oh, and if I can join, could you list me under cobraguy, not cobraguy_test.

I noticed multiple things that won't work. You have variables for things to ask, and things to say for how. If the user was to put in multiple things to ask and say, it wouldn't work. The way I made a demo of functions could fix that. Also, the separate list for function names and the function codes, it could work but would cause more coding. If you want, I can try and keep it that way you have it, or I could try and make some major changes to simplify things.

Wow, just what I said on your project! But I think that we can use lists, storing the x values, the y values… if it doesn't work we will make it using your way. Cobraguy, your help is great! With you we should be able to make the most advanced programming language using Scratch! We'll soon be releasing the beta, if we keep working that fast. I hope you understand cloud variables, so we can start working with them after fixing these problems. If you can, could you please look for new members to join us? I'm afraid we 2 aren't enough to develop this big project.

@61clocks, @cobraguy, you are Members! (See first post to understand)

@cobraguy, you made a really appreciated effort, so you are now in the process of becoming a Ranked Member. Congratulations and I wish you the best of luck to you! I would vote you to become a Ranked Member, but that is not fair, so I'll wait for new people to join. @61clocks can vote though. You two are lucky to be Members!

Thanks to that efforts you've done in TcX. You will be a Member again if there is nobody voting against you, because if there aren't at least 10 people in this collaboration, we can't get the 10 votes; only one. Just wait for 61clocks to vote, or not, you. If at least somebody votes you this week, you'll be automatically a Ranked Member.

I could help out. What kind of things do you still need to add to the language?

Got some new stuff added! Everything is in the project notes. How about a studio to keep track of all the drafts?

I still don't really understand what this will be.
Will this be a mod for cratch, features you want implemented, or what?
Second question, I'm interested in coding and graphics, what kind of graphics will be used and what language will this be in?

I don't know about graphics, but the language, welllll it's sorta a text-based Scratch. Instead of using blocks, you use text to make your program.

Okay, in what category? Sorry, but I see that you have joined Scratch 17 hours ago and you haven't shared any projects, so I cannot give you the Member rank promotion. If you don't help in the collaboration until a delimited time you'll be automatically removed from it (Another time, sorry for having to do that, but it happened to me as well; when I joined Scratch I was excited so I joined a collaboration without any experience. Then I saw it was too difficult and I left it). Cobraguy already replied at your question.
