My Backpack Bug

My browser / operating system: Windows NT 10.0, Chrome 91.0.4472.101, No Flash version detected
I tried to put an sound, that was over 300 secs long, from one of my projects into my Backpack, and here's what happened: It didn't put it in! It rejected it! It said, “Error while loading”. If you know a solution, quote this in or post your comment below!

I know a solution! Split the sound into multiple parts. A 5 minute WAV file would be 50MB, while nothing in your backpack can be larger than 10MB.

If the sound was over 10 MB in size, then it couldn't have been in the project in the first place.

Also, I've personally experienced at least one case where a sound that is well under the 10 MB limit would refuse to backpack.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the editor will allow you to import sounds larger than 10MB, but if you do it won't let you save the project, which is probably why there are so many people saying they can't save.

After giving it some thought, I guess that's possible, but it's not likely - if the file was over 10 MB and OP didn't know that was an issue, we probably would have gotten a “my project won't save” topic instead.

Also, keep in mind that exceeding the size limits is not the only thing that will cause a project to not save. The big spike in “my project won't save” topics about a month ago (IIRC) was caused by a server issue, and the symptoms would be that your project would look like it had saved, but when you refreshed, all of your changes were lost, and it could happen regardless of whether you adhered to the size limits or not.

Anyways, @draconis190, check if the sound is under 10 MB in size (if you were able to save the project with the sound in it, then the sound is under that limit). If it is under that size, I guess try pressing Ctrl+Shift+I, clicking the “Console” tab, and copying any red error messages that you see when you try to backpack the sound here - while this won't fix the issue, it may help the Scratch Team find out what the problem is.
