Not really cursed, but you can make a wooden ceiling have a plank that is offset or rotated the wrong direction by using a lectern, and it looks a little weird. :P

Sounds interesting, but I don't think that'll have a lot of impact on the actual gameplay. It'll definitely look weird though, just imagine trees with sideways logs and upside down grass. :P

I just tested it, and nope! Only lecterns change their direction based on the direction you place them.

I just tested it, and nope! Only lecterns change their direction based on the direction you place them.

oof I forgot that bookshelves always point in the same direction because they have books on all of the faces (except for the top and bottom)

I think it is inverted colors. It think it’s the setting on iPads that lets you invert your screen colors.

EDIT: yep, found the setting. there’s actually two settings for some reason, one of which is new. no idea why these settings exist.
EDITX2: Classic Invert doesn’t invert it properly, though. the shading’s all weird.
EDIT: RETURN OF THE JEDI: Annoyingly, Classic Invert no longer inverts screenshots (if it ever did) so I can’t use that.
EDIT IV: Okay, so I used an online invert tool and it matches up with the Classic Invert results, as far as I can tell. Here’s the result:

EDIT 4S: So the shadows here are correct when Classic Invert is being used. So I have no idea why the original image’s shadows are wrong. Maybe there is/was a setting in Minecraft?
EDIT 4S.A: Looking at the original image closer, it couldn’t be Classic Invert. Classic Invert inverts everything, and neither the level indicator nor the durability meters nor the item counters are inverted.
EDIT 4S.B: Obviously, there is no setting in Minecraft. Additionally, I found an old video from 2013 of the old pocket edition (quite the trip down memory road) that shows Minecraft with the original invert color setting enabled, and behold:

Shadows are inverted correctly
Durability displays are inverted correctly
Item counters are inverted correctly

So I have no clue what happened. Maybe I was using a night-vision shader? Maybe I was messing around in a photo editor? I don’t know. I have better things to be doing (like checking out some of the new experimental settings I stumbled upon!), though, so I’ll leave it at that.
