OTAKU: someone who is obsessed with something and lives for that thing, and usually spends all their money on it, but they respect their culture.

summer wars is one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. the story is really dumb but it's so entertaining and i always get really invested in it.

the tatami galaxy is the best anime ever and here's why

-great animation with completely unique character designs that are really atypical of anime. while the actual character animation isn't that different from most anime, it changes the artstyle enough to remain visually interesting for all 11 episodes but it doesn't become jarring
-a unique and wonderful story that starts off episodic but has everything come together into a singular plot by the end. the incredible foreshadowing makes the series extremely rewatchable. doesn't rely on fanservice or cliches
-manages to be extremely thoughtful and philosophical, but it doesn't become pretentious and remains entertaining.
-has a wonderful message that encourages you to enjoy everything that life has to offer. very feel good but doesn't become cheesy
-really fun characters. even the minor characters have their own little stories in the background. sometimes you don't really know how to feel about them until the end of the series, which keeps it interesting.
-has a perfect amount of episodes, doesn't feel rushed but doesn't drag on either.
-has what is genuinely the greatest ending ever. it's so perfect and satisfying

Watch The Tatami Galaxy, it's the best anime of all time. Artstyle isn't similar to Haganai or any anime for that matter but too bad, if you decide not to watch it because the artstyle isn't similar to some ecchi you're really missing out

I feel you only watch loli ecchi anime, but consider the disastrous life of saiki k. sure it's not aesthetic , but it's good
