My friend, @SoyLenaEphedia, was banned for no reason. She was just a normal scratcher, doing normal things like posting projects and making studios, the usual. One day, she tried to access her account, and it was banned. Banned for no reason. She tried making other accounts, but they were banned as well. So I want to know how we can get the account back.

Please do not gossip about other Scratchers - the owner of the account will need to send an e-mail to appeals@scratch.mit.edu to appeal for the ban. This is most likely because the person was mass reported.

If it was an IP ban that your friend received for no reason, then here's the reason why:

Your IP address that you've received from your ISP is usually not static - instead, it is likely dynamic and tends to change on a whim depending on the needs of the ISP. If your ISP assigns your friend an IP address that just so happened to be banned in the past, then your friend will suddenly be banned.

These bans are strictly accidental, but you should always contact the appeals address shown above and discuss the matter with the Scratch Team. The thing you shouldn't ever do is make new accounts or change your IP to get around the ban, because all the ST will see is someone who is trying to evade a ban - they may not have seen that the person was banned accidentally.

It wasn't that she was mass reported! Her brother made an account and pretended it was a joint account of two girls, and there was a misunderstanding.

What is your relation the the person that was banned?
If they did that, that's not allowed, no matter what. They are just doing the right thing by banning them.

Her parents should allow to send emails like this, because they are helping her. If they still don't allow it they are absolutely cruel parents.

I will tell her friend to tell her that. I did think that surely they should let her do it if it's something bad like that.
