The only way it is is if they set the color to the same as the x/y/direction/sensing etc. colors, but good luck.

I agree SO. MUCH. Whether you're making a clicker game, or high score variable, the orange background often ruins the look and i'd love if we could change it.

I'm doing a project for school right now. The background of then project is blue but I have to use variables in the project which cuts the background with ugly orange. I wish we have this feature now.

JSON Blocks are a mysterious structure, they are made by pulling out project assets, but the project.json file is the only chosen one. What are they experimenting with the project.json file? Well one day i was searching out in the scratch-iest forest when i saw it. The base of the experimenting on JSON Files. When i got in i saw

I stole the tutorial paper on how to get these infamous blocks and ran away with hope that this is not the fake one..

When i arrived home, i put the JSON Paper on my desk and read it. After i read the scratch-ierous paper, i knew EXACTLY what i had to do..

1. Make a project

2. Put the block you want to experiment on, it has to be valid.

3. Save to your computer

4. Before pressing save, rename the filetype to “zip” then press save

5. When downloaded, open the .zip file.

6. Locate the project.json file and open it.

7. If your block was

<key [space v] pressed?>

or

when [space v] key pressed

edit the texts that say “space”. If your blocks were

(current [year v])

edit the text that says year.

8. You are magically done.. some say that we can even go beyond and even beyond human limit.. who knows.. lets see in part 2…

I assume you're talking about the Edit Block Colors feature, that was removed in 3.0, and was only accessible online. That's why it doesn't work.

Hacked blocks or using online 2.0 (which ran on Flash) and saving the .colors file for the Data category.

Guys, please stop saying “+1” and “support!” because that doesn't help at all. I have a question about this suggestion though, would this change the block, or the on-screen reporter? You could just program your own UI.

Really, stop with the “support/no support” thing. I don't care if you give a reason. If you have a reason you don't need to add this to your post in the first place. Stop acting like your opinion makes a difference. It doesn't. Opinions were never the point. The point is whether or not it's a good suggestion. If you can give a good reason at why this is a good idea or point out a flaw, do it, but don't take sides.
