I support the addition of a (layer) block. The <is behind > block seems kind of redundant because you could just do this:

<(layer :: looks) < ([layer v] of [Sprite v])>

Support for the layer reporter. The behind bool would be nice but if only the layer block was added I'd be happy.

Support, this would make making complex multi-sprite parallaxes simpler and less time consuming.

The layering system of Scratch really needs to get improved. It's a nightmare to work with them.

Support - I find layers a very intuitive way to manipulate sprites but they're just not good enough yet.

I think this would be super useful! I was thinking maybe instead of just showing what layer it's on it could also show how many there are in total. like when you click
(layer)
it would say 5/12 or something.

Returning the total amount isn't necessary - a numeral just has to return whatever the value is, not where the iteration ends.

That's perfectly fine to me, I'm talking about the one below.

go to front
You can't go forward by a certain number of layers. I couldn't find a block like this.

Besides the things others have pointed out, you could also just say
go back (-1) layers
which would work just as well.

You can't go forward by a certain number of layers. I couldn't find a block like this.

well and “go forward _ layers” does exist, it's a Scratch 3 block but the forums still only have Scratch 2 blocsk

Okay, well the supporters list is now 55 people long and it was taking up a lot of space in that first post I made. So, I'm keeping the supporter count in there but I removed the supporters list. You can still find the list in the Notes and Credits of the project if you want to see it for whatever reason. Other than the supporter list, the project is pretty much the exact same as the original post I made for this topic though.

Support, But instead of just behind we have a set of two blocks, one behind and one front, It should also have a feature where it tells you how far behind or in front
