Making a whistling language
Starting up a whistling language In our English pronunciation, it's called Din (if you substitute a whistle for a letter) I'm calling it Whistlang. The language relies entirely on nouns, with ways to transform those nouns into adjectives and verbs. Once I finish making the vocabulary (already have some grammar rules, conjunctions, pronouns etc ruled out), it should be available for testing and whatnot.
The word order is OSV (so ‘The wookie ate a cookie’ becomes ‘A cookie the wookie ate’).
I'm getting inspiration for the vocabulary from toki pona and Votgil.
Here's an example of current nouns as adjectives and adverbs:
colour > colourful > to colour/paint
heart > loving/lovingly > to love (someone)
smile > happy > to smile
hand > clever (at making things, skilled at making things) > to make
moon > lunar > to orbit
water > wet > to wash (with water)
fire > hot > to burn/to set on fire
Etc!
Any thoughts/opinions/word ideas anyone?

So basically, I'm making a language that you whistle instead of ‘speak’.
I've made a tumblr page for it at whistlang.tumblr.com.

This text under the grey line is my signature. It's not part of my post, but it automatically shows up under all of my posts.
I recommend reading jvvg and Sliverus's essays.

Would you recommend a confirmation dialog box on that action?

Wouldn't heart's verb form become cardiac, while loving could be from love?

This is my signature. It appears below all my posts. Discuss it on my profile, not the forums. Here's how to make your own.

I wish you luck! I myself am working on a conlang (“Melviko Garso” – much like Latin). I've only got about 35 terms worked out, and it relies heavily on inflection (and I would imagine your language is heavily inflected, too).
My language is a lot less imaginative, though. Just vowels and consonants, no whistling.
