I have not seen any of your art to review on your shared projects so I'm kind of stuck as to whether to recruit you.

If you think you can design somthing in the style of https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/391484080/ (our progress so far) I'm sure you'll be able to join.

Ideas of what to create:
- redesign monkey thing (3rd level)
- Create another level segment/concept
- Create another creature or prop you think could be useful.
- Create a cutscene

I'm still here, I've been learning Rust so my scratch is a little rusty. I still check messages every month though.

Anyway for this project, we need

General
- Recruit members
- decide what levels there will be and what will be on them

Art
- make the levels
- Create cutscenes (do we need cutscenes - what do they add to the game? - is it worth it for the strain on the art resources and lag?)
- Create enemies and projectiles

Programming
- Add tutorial
- Cleanup code
- Improve enemy spawning and fighting
- New enemy attacks
- Reduce lag (animation system probably one of major causes)

I think we do need cutscenes - they make it far easier to keep the player aware of the story as it progresses. Although they might not have to be very well animated, to save on resources as you said.

I did think about enemy spawning too when I did some of the level designs. And that raises another question: do we want this to be more of a platformer-style game, with set enemy spawn locations, or a more random and organic kind of open-world game?

Minor Announcement: I'm unsharing all my versions of Drifter older than 0.50. If anyone for some reason needs any old code, just let me know.

Also, I am still working on the project in the background, if there's anyone still on here who has time/wants to continue this.
