I will be attending Scratch Day at MIT this year for the first time, having recently bought plane tickets as I will be flying with my dad from Colorado, USA, the state that I live in. I am asking this question as I am curious who else is attending the event, as it would be neat to know what users I will probably meet there, and find out whelse is attending so I can chat with other Scratchers about the Scratch Day at MIT.

I put this topic in the Questions about Scratch forum category as the forum category for this years Scratch Day has not yet been put on Scratch, that is if there is going to be one this year. If your a Scratch Team member and are seeing this, please keep this forum topic up until then, and move it to the forum category about Scratch Day 208 when it is made, and if you don't, I'll make a new one there. If this is the wrong forum category for this topic and your a Scratch Team member seeing this, please move it to the right forum category rather then closing this topic.

Is there usually a Scratch Day Forum? If not, I still don't know where this would go

Anyway I really wish I could go to Scratch Day, but I doubt my family would ever let me. Maybe in a couple years I'll take a drive if I'm still active here. I hope you enjoy your time there

In the past years there has been a Scratch Day forum, but it's not up yet, so I'm not sure exactly where to put thos forum topic until it is made if it is this year. I put it here as I think this is the best place for this forum topic, but I'm not entirerly sure.

Can't you take the train, ride the bus, get a ride from someone you know who is going to Boston around the time of Scratch Day or use some other form of transportation that isn't driving yourself that is availible in your area? If I were you, I'd do what I need to do to go, as I've been wanting to go for years, and have been living in Colorado for the past 9 years, so every year I've used Scratch, I've been many states away from Massachusets. Your lucky to be into Scratch and close to MIT where the main Scratch Day event is held. I'd try to go if I were you, as your lucky to live so close to MIT compared to most other Scratchers.

Why won't your parent's let you go? It sounds like you haven't even asked them yet, so you don't even know if they will let you go or not. I am actually jealous that you live so close to MIT because your close enough to esily get to MIT for each years Scratch Day, as I am a big fan of Scratch. I wish I could go to Scratch Day every year, as if I could, I'd have gone since the first time I learned about Scratch Day at MIT.
