No… codecademy teaches HTML and CSS, Python, Ruby, etc. Plus, HTML is not programming; it's markup.

I like Learn Python The Hard Way and Computer Science Circles. The latter is great for an introduction to programming: it's simple and you don't need to download anything as it's online, and The Hard Way is great if you're serious about learning the language, as it gets you used to actual programming tasks and explains common program decisions well.
