These blocks can already be easily switched out. Just right-click.

I can see the benefit of adding a plus field button to the join block. But adding it to the logical AND / OR seems like it'd be ripe for confusion. Those are single side by side comparisons - blobing a bunch together would make sorting them out difficult.

But yeah - I think it'd be really nice to allow join to accept infinite inputs. Good suggestion!

I see your point, it's one of those balances between adding features while making scratch as easy to understand as possible.

Then do you think that the “walls” of the AND / OR blocks can be a bit wider so that the whole block is easier to pick up when they are put inside each other as in the example in the first post? That's really the only thing I wanted to sort out. Thanks

It is, basically. The join block has it natively in Snap!, while the <and> and <or> are in the tools library (<all of <>> and <any of <>>, respectively).

With current syntax, the AND/OR blocks could be confusing, yes.

<<cond1> and <cond2> <cond3> <cond4>>

However, if it stuck “and”/“or” between each condition, it's completely natural:

<<cond1> and <cond2> and <cond3> and <cond4>>
