I need help. I got to the Monkey Caves in the desert but I can't buy a Picnic Lunch in the drugstores for some reason. It only shows the weapons/defensive stuff, so I assume there's some way to switch the items list to healing items?

Edit: I already found it by gridning UFOs but yeah please tell me anyways

I may be brainstorming a fangame….

Hello.

Shift+Down

The lyrics are there for no reason

Fly me to the moon
Let me play among the stars
Let me see what spring is like
On a, Jupiter and Mars
In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby, kiss me
Fill my heart with song
And let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you
Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore
In other words, please be true
In other words, in other words
I love you.

send good wishes to @sukune, she needs it.

I agree. If had played Earthbound when I was little, I would have had nightmares for years

Generation 382: the first time you see this copy and paste it on top of your sig in the scratch forums and increase generation by 1. Social experiment.

I like music, Nintendo games, and music in Nintendo games.

Also, cheese.
I should probably make an OC or something.

My opinion of EarthBound so far. I just beat Mini Barf so far so take this with a grain of salt.

The difficulty is kinda crazy. It's pretty easy during the midnight Onett stage but I feel like it kind of spikes with the Sharks. After Frank, it doesn't get easier but I used a lot of Hamburgers to keep me going. Titanic Ant is fairly easy after grinding up to Level 8-ish, then you gotta train more for the cops and Captain Strong. The game is then just easy (Everdred is just 3 PSI Rockins) until Peaceful Rest Valley which is not a very accurate name. It is literally the BIGGEST SPIKE IN VIDEO GAMES I HAVE EVER PLAYED. Oaks stink. So do the UFOs and Spinning Robos. Then in Happy Happy Village- just easy. Carpainter is a good difficulty after levelling up to Level 15-ish and training Paula's not a challenge at all. Mondo Mole is easy if you know the secret method (Paralysis) and Threed is also pretty normal, since the enemies are usually weak. Winters is easy because of the locker items and Gruff Goats, and Boogey Tent was a first-try victory. I just used Rockin and Fire and some shooting. But soon it became oddly difficult in the Underground Road (because of Zombie Dogs) but Mini Barf was easy. Going to Saturn Valley is a piece of cake, not much enemies there. And that's it.

But the game is GOOD. The gameplay is pretty fun, albeit a bit hard but yup. Graphics are nice, story is fun, very creative enemies (Woah, I literally fight WORTHLESS ORGANISMS IN THIS GAME!). Overall, almost 10/10.

Tips for newcomers:
When you get Paula, LEVEL HER UP A LOT, it will be useful. She has one of the best PSI attacks in the game (Fire and Freeze).
Don't be underleveled or overleveled. Recommended levels from me until Saturn Valley:
Midnight Onett - 3-4
Frank Fly - 6-7
First Melody - 8-10
Cops - 12-14
Everdred - 13-15
Peaceful Rest Valley - 16-18
Mr. Carpainter - 17-19
Second Melody - N: 21-22, P: 7-9
Winters - 8-9
Boogey Tent - N: 22-24, P: 11-13, J: 10-11
Underground Road - N: 23-25, P: 15-17, J: 13-15
Saturn Valley - N: 24-26, P: 17-18, J: 15-17
Being underleveled is definitely worse than being overleveled. However, I do not see much of a problem in being overleveled. I actually found it helpful when fighting the Carbon Dog/Diamond Dog in Fire Spring.
As you said, leveling up Paula is useful. This reminded me of my first playthrough, in which I didn't care much about Paula's HP and always focused on keeping Ness alive. As a result, she was almost always dead, and got no experience points. Ever since, the fact that your dead party members do not receive exp. has been tiny pet peeves of mine. It makes sense, but it still gets on my nerves.

As someone who had never played an RPG before I played Earthbound, i was severely under leveled since i ran away from battles a ton. I still managed to beat it tho, through heavy abuse of save states

Should I use bottles of water in EarthBound, the game was pretty hard without them
But they are only useful with Poo (EPIC NAME CONFIRMED)

Has anyone else here had the misfortune of playing Earthbound Begginings without the Easy Ring mod? Usually I like playing games vanilla but Earthbound begginings is so unforgiving for no reason
