A Scratch Helper is someone who makes sure the project links posted in the Front Page Curator Studio are actually FPC application links, and then they tell the person a curator will add it soon.

The First definition is correct. This definition is incorrect. Please find it on the wiki, learn about it, and then provide a new response.

wait what.

so you're telling me I actually DIDN'T HAVE TO MAKE THAT 1000 WORD ESSAY?!

Did you make it? I'd like to read it
I got up to around 363 words before removing it from my mind, but sure!
My name is HardClaw57. I have been scratching for over a year, and in that time gained a moderate understanding and experience of programming in general. I have come to appreciate how coding can open up infinite possibilties when it comes to programs. Calculators, computers, even everyday applications. It is for this reason that I highly value Scratch as a fun way to introduce yourself to programming at a young age. Many people use it, even adults. I'm sure that I am not the only person to think this way, 10 million projects must be proof enough for that.
Scratch isn't entirely intuitive. Many people struggle with the more complex parts, such as pen, cloning, variables and others. That's why people often need help with Scratch. Granted, people could just go to the Help with Scripts forum, but we work best with direct help. It's just human nature. Therefore, I would be honored to join the Scratch Helper Mentor Committee.
I'm not the best in Scratch, of course, there are many people who would be better suited to the job. But joining the Committee will not only allow me to help people, it will improve my knowledge of programming. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.
I have created numerous betas and alphas of projects. My busy lifestyle has heavily limited the time I can work on them, but I am willing to commit as much time as possible to this committee. I am also working on numerous projects that utilise video and audio without extensions, as a fun way to interact with the real world.
My father is also the head digital audio and signal processing engineer in his company, and he is very good at programming. So on the off chance that there's something I can't solve, he's always there for help.

Accepted . Please go to Crazy's Training Thread to get started !
Sorry, I changed my mind.

Position Wanted: Helper (If we don't have enough finders, and we have enough helpers, I'll be fine with either one, though).
Username: ItchyCatIII
Time on Scratch: 5 months and 3 days
Best Project: Some people might have different opinions, but I'd say it is the Mi-Pod.
Project in Welcoming Committee?: No, but I plan on making one
Scratch Wiki Editor: Yes
Activity Levels: 8
Activity Levels in Forum: 7
Time you can dedicate to Scratch Mentoring Committee: Depends. On weekends, 3-4 hours/day. On weekdays, 30 minutes-1 hour.
SDS Helper?: Yes
Scratch Helper: I reply to comments in the welcoming committee, but I'm not a member there
Extra Credentials: FPCA Helper
Other: I sometimes answer questions on ST profiles, and I've received and answered a few questions on my profile. I also try to help out in the forums a lot.

Open Ended:

Why I want to be in the scratch mentoring committee?

When I was new here, I would not have been able to get anywhere with Scratch if it weren't for the amazing people who helped me out. Now, I want to give back, and help the New Scratchers here.

What I can contribute to the Scratch Mentoring Committee?

I can try to teach New Scratchers how to use the forums, possibly give them project ideas, help them make projects, and possibly introduce them to Scratch

How do my credentials show my expertise?

Since I help out in a lot of studios, I'm used to telling people how to do things on projects, and giving constructive criticism. Also, I am used to answering questions, and helping out in the forums.

Don't you just hate when people advertise in their signatures (and raisin cookies that look like chocolate chip ones. That's just not okay).
