It would be nice to see Greg from someone elses point of view. -snip-
My point of view (obviously I am a girl.. -_-) He's selfish, lazy, greedy, good at ruining people's days, doesn't care to make the world better, ridicilously unrealistic, illogical, and totally doesn't deserves being a star of some books and a movie. However, he totally deserves the dislike he receives from girls. He's still better than Rodrick and Manny, though. And I can see how annoying Greg's parents can be.
My point of view (I'm a boy). He's selfish, greedy, tries not to take the blame, arrogant (for no reason), likeable for no reason, funny, desperate. As you say, however, he's better than Rodrick and Manny. His parents are pretty bad too.

Well, Greg obviously got some of his selfish-ness from his dad, and some ignorance from his mom.. Rowley's parents may be weirdos and overprotective and such, but they have reasons to think that Greg is “a bad influence blah”.

At least it's quite humorous and funny.

When I said that (No offence) I meant a character like Mom,Dad,Manny,Rodrick or a teacher. Nice to see your opinion though.

I'm kinda like Greg Heffley since I'm wimpy, fail a lot, and have bad parents.

“Yipee, I did it!” the man said with glee,
“I've solved that darned riddle, I've solved it, you see!”
The sphinx simply smiled and shook her strange head,
“I'm afraid you're wrong, and therefore you're dead.”

I kinda feel sorry for the Heffleys, especially when they seem to fall into poverty in the Long Haul.

Spoiler?

Anyways, The Long Haul was pretty funny.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is a satirical realistic fiction novel by Jeff Kinney. It is the first book in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. The book is about a boy named Greg Heffley and his struggles in middle school.

Discuss the books (Rodgrick Rules, The Last Straw, Dog Days, The Ugly Truth, Cabin Fever, The Third Wheel, Hard Luck) and the movies.

And don't forget to pass the Cheese Touch.
THIS BOOK IS EPIC AND COOL AND FUNNY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My browser / operating system: MacOS Macintosh X 10.10.5, Safari 9.0.2, Flash 20.0 (release 0)

Yeah, but one thing noticed is that the past two books, Long Haul and Old School, are just long telling of a single event. I prefer seeing what Greg is doing at school and stuff like that. Besides, I need my Rowley fix.

Shamelessly, I'm almost fifteen and I own every single book. Most people my age that I know think these books are stupid, but I love them.

I am but a simple cartooning reindeer who loves Fujio Akatsuka.
