I'm in the 9nth grade and I still like these books. Well, I'm not as crazy over them as I used to be but I still enjoy reading them.

I was going into fifth grade when the first book came out, if I remember right. I decided to read it because I was about the target audience. I enjoyed it. Have been keeping up with the series since then.

EDIT: I can still relate to a lot of the things that Greg goes through, and I'm a high school girl. Sometimes I'll be reading the books and literally say, “Ah, I know right?” out loud. That is, if I'm alone and no one hears me say it.

Ya, I really thought it wouldn't go to an 8th book. I still like reading the books, but I didn't find myself rushing to get the newest one like I used to. I still ended up reading the newest book because my sister got it for me for my birthday.

That's about what happened to me. For about the first five books, I would rush to get the new book within the first week of its release. The last few books I would only go to buy when it was convenient. I no longer really rush to read through the whole book once I get them either, preferring to take my time. I'm guessing this is both a mix of me getting older and the series starting to run out of ideas.
