you stumble upon a cave… that leads down,
down,
down.

following the trail, you find a big pile of treasure. but it's not gold, nor jewels, my friend. this is all chaotic words!!! (and a gigantic mango orchard. how is that growing /underground/????)

kat's wuc writing thread <3

daily #2 for @FlamingoTesting
words: 496

Hey Fab! Get ready for a chock-full of motivation. I was super happy to see you in WUC this session– I know you already from SWC, and you're such a positive presence over there! I really hope you succeed in your goals. To help you along a little, here's a package of 1,000 mangoes!! You've got this; your determination and ambition will always win out in the end.

Anyways– I did just a little bit of stalking on your profile, and apparently your word goal is 15k! That's pretty similar to mine, haha. That is still a lot, though. Logistically, you'd have to write 500 words a day. But I'm pretty sure you've got it in the bag! Exceeding it is ambitious, but not impossible. Through it all, just make sure that you're taking care of yourself and your mental health, and not overwhelming your own capabilities. That aside, word goals can be unpredictable. Once, I dropped short by 5k and then in another session, overwrote by 5k! Basically, it's all about writer's motivation. I notice you have a series, so you could write about that, but just a teensy tiny reminder that writing camps are to improve your writing, so make sure that you enjoy what you're writing, because focusing on something you don't want to do is never fun. But despite all of that, I believe in you!!!!

And ooh! A series? That's so cool– I guess writing runs in your family, hehe (I'm pretty sure you, Sapphire, and Tigress are triplets??). I, personally, am super impressed. Writing a series is not for the weak, considering I've dropped several attempts over the years. But I would love to hear all about it, if you ever need a writer's buddy. Which book are you on, and are you planning to publish it? What's the genre? And, oh, what's it about? But apart from that, finishing your series in a month is no little goal, but I am sure you can do it. Some tips are, if you ever need motivation, just look up some prompts. Or, the hardest and my personal favorite, write one sentence. Then another. Soon enough, the flow comes. But if it doesn't, try deleting the last paragraph you wrote and going in another direction. Good luck, writer/warrior Fab <3

And for your last goal, getting to know new people is always fun! If you ever want to, feel free to hop onto my own profile (@chimerikal) and yap with me. It can be intimidating, but you'll find that most everyone in this camp is helpful, supporting, and friendly, so it should be pretty easy! Making new friendships is always worth it– it's surprising how well we get along together considering we come from around the whole world! Manifesting a bunch on new memories made for you.

So, that's the end of this letter. I really hope you found this motivating (a little extra mangoes can never go wrong <3), and goodbye!!
