SDC August 2026 ♥︎ Daily List

♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎

1 : Welcome, members of the one, the only tripleSDC msnz! We’re beyond excited to see just what you’ll create in the upcoming month ;). But, first and foremost… wHo ArE yOu? As per camp tradition, why not let us begin with a little introduction to your fellow members both within and outside of your units? Post a self-introduction in the Main Cabin comments, and don't hesitate to reply to others’! Start a little conversation right then and there, perhaps…? You never know what it might blossom into…

┈⬫┈

2 : It's time for one of SDC's favorite traditions! Find one image that catches your eye, then build a moodboard around it using at least 9 images total. Let your inspiration guide you, and have fun seeing where a single picture can take you! Completing this Daily will award you with 200 Pixels.

3 : A strange tension has been rising like smoke from a fissure around camp, and even you’ve been anticipating a familiar sound. Hark! ‘Tis the bells of our beloved Design Duels, a camp favorite of delightfully snappy duels with other campers that are worth an extra 100 Pixels for the next twenty-four hours. Head on over to this project to read more information and to get started:

Happy dueling!

4 : moon, sun, neptune, zenith… msnz's units (aka this session's cabins!) are all based off celestial objects in one way or another. For today, go beyond what we know on this planet and design something of any medium incorporating one or more celestial objects to earn 200 pixels for your cabin!

5 : With the fifth big S joining univerS, tripleS was opened to the possibility of DIMENSIONs, which were first held after S8's joining to sort into their first 4-person units. On the fifth day of this session, we're introducing a new activity to SDC that will hopefully become a staple just as tripleS' Gravity votings have… SDCommisions!
An enhanced version of the Design Swap seen in previous sessions, here you can create and receive custom designs to and from your fellow members, or stick to the traditional design swap system if that's more your plate of cheese. Head on over to this link to get started:

6 : Music can tell a story without saying a word… or with some pretty amazing lyrics! Pick a song and create a design inspired by its lyrics, music video, or overall vibe. We can't wait to see your interpretation! This Daily is worth 180 Pixels.

7 : Camp memories can't be and aren't a secret, but of course it's always great to see them all in one place. If you'd like a chance to be featured on this session's Memory Book cover, head on over to the project linked below and start designing:
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1367232544/
These will remain open until the end of August 20 in UTC, but it might be a good idea to get start early since there isn't another pixel daily on at the moment…

8 : “Nyaa!!”
Ahem. Forgive my cat’s vocalness. She’s a bit antsy, you see, for it’s currently her international day and she and her furry friends are without any gifts for the momentous occasion. How about you design something for them and make their days? In honor of International Cat Day, make a design of something based on cats, or even for them (i.e., merchandise, toys, food packaging). This Daily is worth 160 Pixels. And if you have one, give your own kitty a good scratch.

┈⬫┈

9 : As this is the 9th session of SDC, today’s prompt will be to use 9 of the same element in your design! They can be in different colors, sizes, and orientations, but the base element should be the same. Completing this daily will earn you 189 pixels for your cabin!

SDC April 2026 ♥︎ Weekly #1 <Beyond Camping>

——

Introduction

Greetings, dearest members, and welcome to our very first weekly for the session— and a very special one indeed. As the first week of August was none other than International Clown Week, why not let all of you, our beloved campers, create the session along with us~? Indeed, any and all submitted creations from this weekly will be featured in the official Main Cabin for all the camp and our loyal stalkers to see ;D.

This weekly begins on August 9th, 00:00 UTC!

——

Part 1 - Session Theme

In order to host any SDC session, we'll need a theme! The theme helps decide the thumbnails, the colour scheme, and the cabin names of the session, so choose wisely. For this part, brainstorm at least six session themes and write a pro and con for each idea. Then, from your list, pick one theme and write a short explanation of why you chose it.
——

Part 2 - Main Cabin

Now, it's time to create the very face of SDC- the beautiful thumbnail. You can go crazy with this, but don't forget to include ‘SDC August 2026’ and ‘Main Cabin’ ;D

——

Part 3 - Activities

A camp, SDC included, is never complete without a bunch of activities that help boost motivation, encourage improvement, and maybe a bit of friendly competition. For this part of the weekly, invent a new activity for SDC and write a description of at least 240 words with instructions for the activity as well as design the project thumbnail for it! Remember to give your activity a memorable name as well before moving onto the last part! Maybe we’ll implement some of your ideas in the future…?

——

Part 4 - Promotional Project

Aha~ Here we are in the final stretch of the first Weekly, also a rather favorite one of mine. This is where we ditch all the work of the past two parts of this current weekly and do something a little broader! Even after creating a camp, cabins, a system, and beautiful graphics, you’re naught without campers to flood through. So come, little designer, and create a promotional project for Scratch Design Camp as a whole, not minding the session theme you’ve chosen and designed prior to this.

Usually, the promotional would be a poster of sorts with a catchy hook in the title and description, but feel free to explore each option and select something that you’re most comfortable with, or even a style you want to try for the first time. So long as you design it and it serves as a functional promotional for Scratch Design Camp, anything goes. I’ve seen some even sing for promotional projects before, so let not your mind be shackled to the standards we see around.

——

Conclusion

This weekly is due on August 15th, 2026, at 23:59 UTC. Please ensure that you have all parts completed before submitting your weekly, a checklist is attached below for your reference.
 ◦ Part 1 - a list of at least 6 session themes with a pro and con for each theme idea, and your chosen theme plus a short explanation of why you picked it
 ◦ Part 2 - a Main Cabin thumbnail based on the theme you chose
 ◦ Part 3 - a project thumbnail and description/instructions of at least 240 words for a new SDC activity
 ◦ Part 4 - a promotional project for the session - and make sure to share it to spread the word about SDC! ^^

And that concludes the first Weekly of this real session. Take a deep breath, get some water and a snack, and rest your eyes. Maybe now you’re prepared to take on the full responsibilities of an SDC host too ;).
