The Lost Void Pilot Episode Script
(OPENING MUSICAL NUMBER WITH CREDITS)
(AFTER WALKING TO SCHOOL, AYUMI WALKS TO CLASS AND OPENING NUMBER ENDS)
TEACHER - Settle down, class. Flip your books to page 79.
(THE VOICE OF THE TEACHER FADES INTO MUMBLES)
ELSIE - (WHISPERING) Pst! Ayumi!
(AYUMI QUICKLY JOTS DOWN ONTO A POST-IT THAT SHE CAN’T TALK AND HANDS IT TO ELSIE)
ELSIE - Aw, you’re so serious about school… Fine. Be that way.
(AYUMI TURNS AROUND AND SMIRKS AT ELSIE)
AYUMI - Fine, only because you’re whining about it. What’s so important, hm?
ELSIE - I am not whining!! I just wanted to see if you could come with my family to the beach next weekend for my birthday. Jonah’s coming, too, so we’ll all be together. I was thinking we could all go shopping for bathing suits after school!
(AYUMI IS ABOUT TO INTERRUPT TO TELL ELSIE SHE HAS WORK, BUT ELSIE HOLDS HER FINGER UP TO AYUMI’S MOUTH.)
ELSIE - Don’t worry about your job, I already called your boss and told him you have a cold today and that you don’t want to give it to the customers. You’re welcome! And he already knows about my birthday since you take time off every year for it. No excuses!
(AYUMI CHUCKLES.)
AYUMI - Oh, Elsie. Of course I’ll come to your birthday. And I suppose I can go shopping today as well, just make sure we’re not home too late.
ELSIE - No way!! I actually got THE serious-work-genius-clumsy Ayumi to go to the mall with her best friend AND her girlfriend!! Woooooooah!
TEACHER - No talking in class, please!!
(AYUMI ROLLS HER EYES WHILE SMILING AND TURNS BACK TO HER WORK)
(COMPILATION OF 5 CLASSES, THEN CUT TO CAFETERIA)
(AYUMI SITS DOWN NEXT TO JONAH)
AYUMI - Ugh, why is lunch so late in the day… And why is it right before gym!? I can’t even begin to count the amount of stomachaches I’ve seen kids get from Ms. Kelly making us do, like, 50 pushups after eating an entire meal.
JONAH - Ayumi, you know that it’s not that bad. Gym isn’t even next period!! It's the last period!! Which is still two classes away!! Sorry, I’ve had a rough day.
AYUMI - Ah, me too, friend. (SARCASTICALLY) Elsie forced me into going with you and her to the mall and then her birthday beach party. She had to, like, pay me.
(JONAH ROLLS HER EYES AND TAKES A BITE OF HER PASTA)
(AYUMI QUICKLY STEALS A NODDLE, AND JONAH GLARES AT HER WITH A DEATH STARE)
AYUMI - Oh, dear, no! My girlfriend’s going to murder me because I took a single piece of pasta from her lunch! What EVER shall I do!? Anyways, sorry. I forgot to make myself lunch today. Oops. And I’m hungry.
JONAH - Girl, I will not murder you over a piece of rigatoni.
AYUMI - Rigatoni? The heck is that? I thought it was pasta?
(JONAH FACEPALMS DRAMATICALLY, AND SCREEN CUTS TO THE OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL FOR RECESS)
AYUMI - Loving the new ‘release recess’ thing. Now I can go to the local Urban Air for an entire, like, 20 minutes. Yippee.
JONAH - Since when is there an Urban Air anywhere near here? Nevermind. Want to get some ice cream?
AYUMI - Sure. Only if I get to eat every single ice cream sandwich in the store. They’re literally the best ice cream. Nobody can convince me otherwise. (AYUMI SIGHS] Aw, I wish Elsie had the same lunch period as us. Why do we have the same schedule every day!? Literally no other schools do that!!
(JONAH LAUGHS AND AYUMI DEATH STARES HER DOWN)
AYUMI - Hey, what’s so funny!?
JONAH - You shouting about the fact that the school’s stupid and being VERY nonchalant about it when we’re still at the door and there’s five teachers right next to you. Just an observation.
(AYUMI BLUSHES VERY HARD AND POUTS AWAY, JONAH STILL GIGGLING)
AYUMI - Genuinely how have we been in a relationship for a year? How. C’mon, let’s go to the deli. Or I’ll snatch your cardigan. Aka your most prized possession in the entire universe. Teehee~
JONAH - Oh my god, like you could ever run away with it without me catching up in, like, 10 seconds. Sure.
(CAMERA CUTS TO THE END OF SCHOOL, WITH JONAH WAITING BY THE GATE FOR AYUMI AND ELSIE)
ELSIE - Sorry I’m late! Kind of. Blame science for having such a hard test and making me late. Yes. Not me. Where’s Ayumi, though? She’s always on time!
JONAH - I dunno. Haven’t seen her since lunch.
ELSIE - Great.. What does she have last period again?
JONAH - Uh.. I think AP English?
ELSIE - Aw, no! I’ve heard how long the teacher for that class can ramble. This is gonna take foreve-
AYUMI - Hi guys! Sorry I’m late. We wrapped up surprisingly fast today, actually! Sorry, what were you about to say Elsie?
ELSIE - Um. Nothing. Nothing at all…
AYUMI - Uhh… Okay? So, are we going to the mall or not?
JONAH - Yes! My dad’s almost here. One minute.
(AWKWARD SILENCE FOR A FEW SECONDS)
AYUMI - What did you actually say to my boss, Elsie?
ELSIE - Nothin. I said you were sick. That’s all.
AYUMI - Sure…
ELSIE - Shut up!
JONAH - I feel excluded. Hmph. Anyways, my dad’s at the corner. C’mon.
(CUT TO THE PLAY PLACE)
ELSIE - Jonah, you said we were going to the mall? Not whatever the heck Molly’s Play Place is? That sounds like a weird, quote unquote, ‘horror game’ on Roblox or something. ‘Tis not the mall, twin.
JONAH - Oh, sorry. My family always abbreviated it as the moll. M-O-L-L, not M-A-L-L.
ELSIE - Jonah, that is LITERALLY THE NAME FOR A CRIMINAL IN A GANG. IT’S NOT CUTESY OR EASIER.
JONAH - Oops. Fine, my family calls it Molly’s and one time when I was little I called it the moll. They thought it was cute and silly, so I called it that. I guess that explains why they thought it was funny. Oh well. Anyways, come on!
AYUMI - Well, Elsie, I guess there’s an Urban Air of sorts near the school after all. Just an off brand one. Doesn’t make a difference, though.
ELSIE - Whatever. Shall we trampoline?
JONAH - Yes, ma’am!
ELSIE - Dang, there’s, like, ten whole different types of trampoline activities here. Very good knock off Urban Air. But seriously, there’s dodgeball, basketball, racing, trick jumping, ordinary trampolines, and gymnastics!! How is this place so good!?
AYUMI - Let’s do dodgeball!!
JONAH - Wait, huh? Uh.. Sure? Wait up, dude!
(JONAH AND ELSIE CATCH UP TO AYUMI OUTSIDE THE DODGEBALL AREA)
ELSIE - Didn’t know you liked dodgeball. EVER.
AYUMI - Oops. My bad.
(THEY GET SENT INTO THE DODGEBALL AREA AND START PLAYING AGAINST EACH OTHER WITH THE KIDS AROUND THEM)
(EVENTUALLY THE OTHER KIDS GO TO OTHER AREAS)
JONAH - Short attention spans, I see. Oh well, just us now.
(SUDDENLY, CREEPY BLACK TENDRILS QUICKLY SPROUT OUT AYUMI’S BACK, CATCHING A BALL SHE WAS ABOUT TO MISS. THE TENDRILS THEN DROPPED IT INTO HER HAND THAT’D REACHED FOR IT, EMULATING THE EFFECT FOR HER THAT SHE’D CAUGHT THE BALL HERSELF. NOBODY CATCHES THIS BUT ELSIE)
ELSIE - Uh.. Ayumi?
AYUMI - Phew, that was a close one! I really thought I was gonna miss that!
ELSIE - Ayumi, that wasn’t you! It was the weird creepy gooey thingy that CRAWLED OUT OF YOUR FREAKING BACK!!
JONAH - Wow, Elsie, didn’t know you could possibly put that much emotion into a simple joke.
ELSIE - (SOUNDING GENUINELY CONCERNED AND SCARED) No, I’m not joking!! Ayumi, what the hell was that!?
AYUMI - Woah, Elsie, are you doing okay? Do you need to sit down?
ELSIE - Nh.. Get away from me!!
(ELSIE RUNS OFF, CRYING AND SCARED. JONAH RUNS AFTER HER. AYUMI STAYS BEHIND AND STARTS CRYING OUT OF FEAR AND CONCERN FOR HER FRIEND AND HERSELF)
(CUT CAMERA TO JONAH CATCHING UP TO ELSIE)
JONAH - Elsie, stop it!! Nothing happened!! Ayumi is crying back in there, and we’re both genuinely scared for you!!!
ELSIE - Jonah, I’m not going crazy, okay? I saw it! I won’t let another group of friends think I’m insane!
JONAH - E- El- Elsie! Nobody here thinks that you’re crazy! Just talk to me, please. I’m right here, ok?
(ELSIE’S QUIET FOR A SECOND)
ELSIE - So you are like the others. Please don’t follow me this time.
(ELSIE SLOWLY WALKS AWAY TOWARDS HER HOME. JONAH WALKS BACK TO GET AYUMI AND THEY CALL A CAR TO GO HOME, TOO)
JONAH - Good night, Ayumi. I’ll be sure to message her in the morning.
AYUMI - Thanks, (SLIGHT SMIRK) Joney.
JONAH - (SLIGHTLY GIGGLING) Oh my god, I thought I told you to stop calling me that. Farewell, Amy.
(AYUMI’S SMILE FADES A FEW SECONDS AFTER THE TAXI DRIVES JONAH AWAY. SHE WALKS UPSTAIRS TO HER APARTMENT)
AYUMI’S DAD - (SMIRKING) So, long day of work or did Elsie call in again?
AYUMI - Heh, what do you think if I’m home this early?
AYUMI’S DAD - I’d say it’s probably the latter.
(AYUMI SMILES AND GOES INTO HER ROOM. SHE PLOPS DOWN ONTO THE BED, SIGHS, AND TAKES HER PHONE OUT. THE CAMERA ZOOMS INTO THE CAMERA ON THE PHONE, AND THE EPISODE ENDS)
(OPENING MUSICAL NUMBER WITH CREDITS)

❥・Living Freely
Wordcount・710
Jonas quickly snapped back to what was happening and fell towards the snow. His face dived through the foot of powdery whiteness and hit the ground. Gabriel quietly cried in his jacket, and Jonas tried to get back up. His numb legs gave way, and he fell backwards. The cold snowflakes stung into his eyes. He felt a sudden throbbing in his skull, and he saw a strange figure looming over him as he lost consciousness.
***
Jonas woke in a hard bed of sorts. He almost tried to just go back to his dreamless sleep until he realized that Gabriel wasn’t against his chest. His surroundings were starting to come to him, first feeling the warmth of the tattered blanket draped across him and then quickly the fireplace adjacent to his bed. He then smelled the wonderful fragrance he’d never experienced before of food cooking on a stovetop. His eyes slowly fluttered open as he viewed a person chopping vegetables on what he now knew as a cutting board with a knife. Jonas turned his legs to the side of his bed and sat himself up.
“Urgh…” he groaned, starting to feel the pain he’d felt before passing out in the snow. Could this be the same person who I saw before in the snow? It must be, they were the only person around when I hit my head. The mysterious man seemed to finally notice that Jonas was awake and he put the knife down.
“I see that you’re up now,” he said. “What’s your name, boy?” he asked. Jonas could swear he’d heard that voice before. He dug as deep as he could into his memories, but he couldn’t place it.
“Uh, my name’s Jonas. Where’s Gabriel?” Jonas asked worryingly now that he saw that Gabe wasn’t there with him. The mysterious man turned around and started walking toward Jonas, and he could finally tell who the figure he’d been rescued by really was. It was The Giver! But how? Did he try to escape, too? The Giver would have surely recognized him by now, though. And The Giver wouldn’t have ever needed to ask Jonas what his name was. Jonas’s headache got worse as he tried but failed to explain what was happening to himself.
“Gabriel? Ah, the baby. I took him upstairs, my daughter’s looking after him at the moment. Are you doing okay?” The Giver asked. “You’ve got quite the bruise on that head of your’s. You’ve almost certainly gotten a concussion I’d say,” he added.
“I see… Who actually are you?” Jonas asked, his head still aching from the confusion of what was going on.
“Call me Ben. I don’t think I’ve ever seen you before, yet you look oddly familiar. The name rings a bell, too,” Ben said. He looked down at his tapping foot.
“Me too,” Jonas replied. “I’m from a community very far away from here. Is this Elsewhe-” The man cut him off with a lit up face.
“Ah, yes, of course!” he said in delight. “The communities! We’ve read about them in ancient books, but we thought they were nothing but legend,” Ben explained. Another lightbulb’s circuit seemed to close in Ben’s head. “I used to love reading about the communities’ odd ways of life when I was a little one. I remember reading that every person born in a community has an adjacent twin born here. I see you call our world Elsewhere,” Ben said. Things began to fall together in Jonas’s pained head.
“So I will get to see you again,” Jonas choked, tears welling up in his eyes. If Ben and The Giver really are twins… That must mean that they’re similar people, right? Jonas thought to himself in hope. He wiped his eyes and got himself back together. “I hope that I can live a better life here in… What do you all call this place?” he asked Ben.
“This is one of many villages and cities in what you call Elsewhere. This town here, though, is named Greenville. I hope that you can live better here as well,” Ben smiled at Jonas. Jonas nodded and decided he would make himself a family and life with Gabriel, Ben, and Rosemary here in what Elsewhere really was.

❥・Human Again
Wordcount・1801
Keisha walked into the pub and asked to be seated upstairs at a booth for some nice privacy. She sighed in annoyance from the exhausting day, of having to go so far for the silk that was nearly stripped away from her by the robber, then having to repeat the same journey yet again to return home. Jane followed close behind, telling the waiter that she was with Keisha. Distracted by looking through the menu for a small bite and a refreshment, Keisha almost didn't notice the mysteriously cloaked woman take a seat across from her at the booth. She let out a small yelp and took a glass, pointing it at who she didn't know was only there to help everything.
“Okay, I know I seem like some random creep off the street, but I have reasons to be here with you right now,” Jane said assertively. She raised her hand and gently lowered the glass being pointed at her by Keisha, smiling slightly. “You don't have to trust me fully yet, I know I've startled you a bit, but please listen to me while I explain this?” she asked, still slightly aggressive. Keisha took a deep breath, and put down her makeshift weapon she planned on possibly using.
“O-okay,” she mumbled quietly, still concerned. Jane took a deep breath, preparing for the long explanation ahead.
“Do you like being stuck down here in a hole? Trapped because of some idiotic creation that never should've existed in the first place?” Jane asked as calmly as she probably was capable of being. Keisha shook her head quickly, unsure of and not liking where this conversation was headed. “Good. My name is Jane, by the way. Now, this part will sound insane, and there isn't much I can do about that, but please trust me on this. I think I've found a way to get rid of the AIHs, to free us from this underground prison that we pretend is a replacement for our real home. I've done lots of research on this for potential solutions for this, and I think I've found one that's guaranteed to work. I'm sure of it,” Jane explained. Keisha continued to look at her, skeptical but interested and hopeful.
The AIHs had reigned over them for hundreds of years, it seemed like it was impossible to overthrow them. They were AIs that were just so powerfully advanced that they'd had multiple casualties in the past hundred of years.
“A couple hundred years ago, in the 2700s or something, somebody was able to create a time machine. A real, true time machine that actually worked. The AIHs found out about it, hiding it deep in the Earth before humans had moved underground. Even now, nobody was able to find it. But.. I think I've found it,” Jane continued. Keisha was still slightly skeptical, but amazed and excited at this chance for freedom. “It's a bit far away, and we'll have to go by foot to keep this secretive, but I think that you're the person who's best fit for this. Er, so, will you accept this possibility?” she finished. Keisha sat silent and still for a moment, stunned by this opportunity.
She weighed her options thoroughly. This could possibly be a fake trap, but even if Jane was to just kill her and rid of her for whatever reason after she'd fallen for this trick, what was even left for Keisha? She was a poor seamstress that made practically no business, given that nobody even cared for clothing anymore. She sighed, inhaled deeply, and confirmed her choice of going along with this. Jane grinned, and ordered them a small meal to celebrate. “We'll leave in the morning, all right?” Jane announced, and they went back to Keisha's place for the night.
Keisha awoke to a commotion in the street. She could hear it was just a bit of traffic, so she got out of bed and ready for her and Jane's trek ahead of them that day. She had a slight panic when she couldn't find Jane, thinking she possibly just wanted to take her belongings, but quickly discovered that she'd just been waiting patiently by the doorway to leave. They travelled for two days, to a small cave complex on the edge between a meadowland section and the industrial quarter of our larger cave layer.
“Be careful, I've found it's quite slippery on the way down here,” Jane said as if she'd done this a thousand times before then. They reached the end of the tunnel, amazed by the large cavernous room it opened up to. The wonder lasted quite quickly, as they spotted AIHs guarding the nearby time machine that was now in sight. The AIHs saw them soon after, as well, and they charged towards Keisha and Jane. “Get to the time machine, that's all you need to do. I'll fend them off while you go ahead,” Jane said quickly, knowing she'd have to fight the bots to be able to make this work.
Keisha nodded, and she ran off soon after Jane did to occupy the bots. She ran hopefully towards the machine, making good progress. One of the AIHs, though, caught the second human out of the corner of it's sensors, and ran off to catch Keisha. As soon as it reached her, it gripped tightly around her throat, raising her up to it's ‘face’, laughing. “J-Jane!! Co-could use s-some h-he-help h-here!!!” Keisha wheezed, trying as hard as she possibly could to breath, but failing. Her vision started to cloud, fighting grunts muffling themselves. A piercing tone inflicted her ears, but the grip loosened soon enough as Jane reached her. Coughing intensely, Keisha started to come back to her senses eventually, though they were weaker than they had been a few minutes earlier.
Still recovering, she sprinted the final stretch to the time machine, even pushing through her face and the rest of her body having been thrown down onto and scraped on the stairs leading up to the contraption. She buckled herself in as quickly as she could, and Jane ran controls to send her off at a similar pace. The last thing Keisha saw as she was transported to the past before AIHs was Jane's final grin before she was strangled to unconsciousness by the bots pursuing her.
Keisha awoke in the top of a tree, physically frozen and petrified. Not out of fear, but seemingly a temporary effect from the time transport. Gravity quickly activated though, and she tumbled down through the branches to the foot of the tree. With a groan of pain from the fall just now, the scrapes from being slammed down into the set of steps, and still recovering from the near fainting strangle, she stood up slowly.
She walked out to the sidewalk in between trees within a green area. She looked up to see tall buildings, and realized that she was standing in a park in a city. The sun shined and blinded her eyes as she gazed upwards at the sky, the beams burning against her hazel pupils. Jerking back, she rubbed her eyes roughly with her hands, shocked by how powerful such a star could be. She began walking through the park, amazed at how peaceful and quiet it was.
“Oh my god, are you okay?” called out an unknown voice with concern, breaking Keisha out of her dazed looking around. Before she even turned around, she could tell that the shout came from a young woman.
“Hm? Oh, er, yes..?” she said unconvincingly as she turned towards the stranger. “Uh.. I'm f-fine…” Keisha mumbled as she tumbled over into the grass and hitting her head lightly on the padded ground, passing out from exhaustion and injuries. The last thing she saw was the unknown girl running towards her in concern and fear.
Keisha woke up in a hard bed, seeing the stranger she'd met before hand looming over what she tell was her previously unconscious body, slowly blinking her eyes open.
“Ah! You're awake!! Omigod you're awake!! How do you feel? Are you hungry? Thirsty? Pained?” she babbled at a pace Keisha couldn't quite process yet. “Er, sorry, that's probably a lot. I'm Ellie, you're a random stranger who looks like they've been in a really bad fight recently, you fainted in front of me, I called 911, and now you've woken up a couple hours later!” Ellie explained, going slightly slower so that Keisha could at least comprehend the words flying into her ears.
“Don't mean to sound rude by this, but shut UP!!” Keisha shouted harshly.
“Oh, uh, ok..” Ellie said, clear hurtfulness in her voice. Keisha immediately recognized her mistake, and apologized repeatedly. Ellie soon perked up though, and they started to chat and connect.
Keisha eventually settled Ellie down after getting a food tray from the hospital and being told to stay for the rest of the day. She prepared to explain to Ellie why she was in such a worn down physical state. She took a deep breath and explained slowly and precisely, carefully choosing words, on where she was from and what happened. “Now, the most important part of this is that you tell NOBODY about where–and when–I'm from, all right? If you do, I don't even want to think about what the consequences could be,” she groaned. Ellie sat there quietly for a minute or two, twiddling her thumbs together, speeding up and down occasionally. Eventually she sighed.
“I don't know how any of that is possible or if it's even true, but if it helps the world, then I want in on this plan, too,” she announced. Keisha grinned, planning what they could do already. Ellie and Keisha ended up leading a large anti-AI company, organizing hundreds of protests and petitions towards AI development and its increased use. One day, though…
Jane awoke after her strangling in a damp prison cell. She'd heard that new annoying humans were imprisoned, with some even being tortured, instead of being killed on the spot. She could tell there'd be many long years of wait ahead, and she slumped down against the wall, day after day. She was fed food and had thirst quenched at the bare minimum the AIHs could, keeping her exhausted even though she didn't do anything ever.
One miraculously amazing day, though, one of the AIHs disappeared into thin air right before her eyes. Not very long after, humans were released from their musty cells back out into their world. They were free. Humanity was free. The universe was free of the evil bots that had plagued their lives for generations.
It was in this moment that Jane finally and truly knew that Keisha was always the perfect candidate for the job.

Dear Ris and the rest of the SWC host/activity team:
I'm truly sorry for being impatient about things multiple times. I did really think I'd mentioned that I was sure that you were most likely busy in real life Ris, and I apologize for not double checking that, but I also apologize for asking for a response in a follow up within the same day. It was insensitive and I should've taken your real lives into hand more, and I'm sorry. I also am sorry for that time I joked about you being late to updating the daily, which was also insensitive. I know you and the rest of the team have real lives irl, and I need to remember that a lot more before speaking up on it. I know that I'm definitely a part of the need for that message in the main cabin, and possibly one of the main reasons for it, and my recent comment was most likely the last straw for these recurring issues, and I really and truly am sorry and apologize for that. I hope you share this with the rest of the team, too, in case my unnecessary complaints impacted them as well.
Sincerely,
Summer

❥・Out of Timing
Wordcount・692
Till stepped up onto the stage with his guitar, ready for the intense life or death battle ahead of him while also fearing he may be quivering in anxiety of how the round would play out. He'd come this far in the bracket already, and if he lost he wouldn't even be able to be mad at himself since the aliens would kill him immediately if he were to perform worse. He was still recovering from Ivan's death, Sua's death (that wasn't nearly as difficult to process, though), and Mizi's disappearance making her become a wanted criminal.
He'd observed from afar Luka and Mizi's earlier performance, trying to analyze Luka's tactics for how he had won his first season, and Till started to think of the fear that Luka could and just might win yet another. He couldn't think about that now, though, he had to think only about just how Luka was doing so well. He couldn't get a good enough read on what worked up Mizi so much that she'd been so incredibly violent with her fellow performer, punching and beating Luka until she was physically dragged away from him.
Till's sweet Mizi was always kind and gentle about everything when they were kids and being raised by their alien guardians, especially when interacting with others. She'd never tried to beat up or harm anyone before then. Just what was Luka capable of doing in performance..? Till's eyes widened in the realization and fear of just how powerful Luka truly was, since his methods were so effective and Till seemed to be incapable of figuring out what said methods really were.
Before he could figure out how to strategize against Luka's intense tactics, the music began and Till needed to focus on his performance, not what Luka was capable of. He tried thinking of it in the meantime, but he needed to dedicate himself to his music and choreography more than that. The blinking green and blue lights flashed brightly in Till's eyes as the performance began and he started singing, the music blasting in his ears that he could only hear his own voice over the microphone. Whatever Luka would try against him, he just needed to ignore it and keep trying.
Eventually, he noticed Luka trying to imitate Ivan and his movements. So this was the enraging tactic, hm? Despite being sensitive about him and still recovering from his death, Till needed to guarantee that he wouldn't fall for Luka's tricks. Till tried his best to keep his immunity to the teasing strategy of his opponent, but eventually Luka got him under his wing when they started to near the end of the song. Till couldn't help but see his friend–what he'd now realized earlier was his lover, the boy now turned man whom had shown his own care and love to Till constantly prior–in Luka, and started believing that Ivan really was there again performing alongside Till. Till forgot his ideation of Luka's tactics, that he was indeed just seeing Ivan in desperation and sadness, and lost the beat. He lost the music, the beat, nearly even started to lose his mind, at the sight of the familiar face. The song was coming to an end, and Till was quite out of it.
He looked out at the crowd at one point, and saw the face of Mizi, hooded and desperate for her friend. Could he be hallucinating her as well? That didn't matter anymore, did it? He was going to lose against the mad Luka at this point, anyways. He stumbled towards Mizi, out of energy and out of breath. They made their way to each other, slowed by the crowd and liveliness of screaming aliens with glowing purple light sticks with the occasional green ones surrounding them all. He reached for his precious Mizi after what had felt like ages. He then felt a sharp sting in his neck, and noticed deep red blood pouring out of the wound before toppling over on to the ground, blacking out. The last thing he heard and saw was Mizi rushing to him with a screech.

❥・SWC November Leader App Draft
Wordcount・1893
1. Hello there, I’m Summer! Aka that silly creature who made it her insane goal to follow every SWCer. Heh. Haha.. Uhh my pronouns are she/her/hers, they/them/theirs, and it/its! I’m *censor censor censor private info*. Oh, wait, I can't say that. Whoops. Uh. My time zone is EDT, but I think I’m going to be in just EST by the time that camp starts. Yeah, it turns to EST literally on November 1st. I’ve been writing for forever, I remember in first or second grade I worked on writing a ‘publishable book’ named Magical Mermaids. To put it lightly, the pacing and plotline was not the best. I have definitely grown since then, though! I also LOVE music, and have been singing for as long as I can remember, too. I started writing some interesting original songs in 3rd and 4th grade, and actually sang one for my 4th grade school band!! That one wasn’t too bad, and you can actually find some of the old songs on my original scratch profile. Not lost media quite yet! I also did chorus after school for 4th grade and 5th grade, but stopped once I moved to middle school since I didn’t mix with the teacher the best. I have been doing my school district’s musical for the past two years, though! I’m so determined to get a lead this year, oh my god. I’ve also been playing guitar for.. What the heck this is my eighth year of playing that I’m going into now. Whatttt. I am starting to write songs again, though! Not quite confident enough to make them with my own voice right now, so I’m stuck since I can’t buy a vocaloid voice bank at the moment. Oh well. My current fandoms are.. Prepare yourself… Project Sekai, Murder Drones, Kipo, She-Ra, Dandy’s World, Alien Stage, Zombie Stage, The Amazing Digital Circus, Hilda, Hooky, Castoff, Hamilton, Les Miserables, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Psych, Vocaloid, Brooklyn 99, The Good Place, and finally, the thing that this whole application is themed after, Only Murders In The Building!!! I think I may get too attached to some things… But I definitely highly recommend all of those things! Still catching my breath after that list, JEEZ. I also love doing kandi!! It’s very fun, relaxing (sometimes) and lets me express myself. I think I’ve yapped enough at this point, so we shall now move on I suppose.
2. November will be my third session of SWC! I don’t lead many things in real life, and I haven’t led or colead in SWC before, but when I have group projects in school, I almost always end up being the one who takes charge for the project. I also used to run a couple of ‘clubs’ in mid elementary school. And also no, not all the stories I’m telling are from elementary school because I’m only now getting out of there, I was just quite… Bold in elementary school. Uh. ANYWAYS one of those clubs was actually a writing club, believe it or not! That one was also the one I was most passionate about, as well. Scheduled Zoom meetings for each one and everything. I also helped out a lot in computer class if the teacher was helping somebody else, but I’m not quite sure that’s a leadership role. And again, I’ve been writing since early elementary school.
3. I really want the Mystery cabin!! I have a very good idea for something I can do for the storyline, with the cabin having the same theme as this application. I think you guys should be able to understand this without watching the show? Please let me know if you can’t.. You should watch the show, though. The idea is the following couple of sentences or so. There’s been another murder in the Arconia, conveniently when Charles, Mable, and Oliver are on a vacation, along with when a bunch of new residents (the campers) are moving in. The trio asks you, the residents, to help solve this new murder. Throughout the session me and the co-leaders would reveal new information about the dead character, inducing challenges to write theories and such, then potentially even reveal a few unexpected twists along the way. I don’t have the whole thing planned out just yet, but I think it’s a substantial start! I know there’s not any guarantee to lead the Mystery cabin, and I don’t have to lead that cabin to use this storyline, but I think it would definitely help with the vibes. I also have a suggestion for a cabin that could exist in the future!! COMICS!! I know that a lot of SWCrs (including myself) enjoy drawing, so we could add comics as a cabin genre, with drawing the comics for cabin activities being recommended but not required. Again, not interested in leading that cabin this session, just a suggestion.
4. I’m going to try to dedicate as much time as I can to SWC. I go back to school soon, so I may have difficulty keeping up with planning in September and early October, but hopefully I’ll be able to manage things better by the time that camp starts. I may start to get busy again by the end of November, depending on whether I get dance as my major for this school year since we have there’s a holiday dance and chorus show every year, but me being busy from that depends on whether I end up being a dance major this year and whether I have a bigger part and if we have complex dances for that. Overall, I’m going to try to spend as much time as I can on SWC. I’m going to do this by putting a sticky note on my computer for the month reminding me to check Scratch and finish up SWC responsibilities once I get home, but of course after homework. I do have a lot of after school stuff (musical, therapy, guitar) that I’m busy with every week, but I don’t get weekend homework this year (I think) and I’m completely free Mondays, Fridays, and the weekend. I will also try to start talking about time management with my therapist so I can manage generally everything a bit better.
5. Online, my communication style is usually… Emojis. That’s a good description, yeah. And the words ‘ty’ and ‘sob’ That sums it up, nothing more! Just kidding, my online communication style is usually efficient and gets to the point quickly. I use forum threads for longer and private planning, but otherwise I just usually use comment threads on profiles or related projects/studios. In group settings, I usually do my best to check in on people if they seem to be inactive or don’t seem to be feeling the best, and I do my best to make sure everybody is engaged and enjoying themselves. I always hold myself accountable if I notice that I’m falling behind on a certain role or responsibility, I apologize for my team’s inconvenience and finish that job as soon as I can. Sometimes I can forget those types of things, though, so I would be sure to request to my group that if I’m taking a bit too long on something to remind me whenever they can. If it’s another person, though, I would gently remind them at first to complete whatever needs to get done, then if it’s important, slowly get a bit more urgent in the requests.
6. For scenario A, I would say tell them that they should try breaking down what they’re overwhelmed by into different chunks, then narrow those chunks down even more into small steps. I’d let them know that it might seem like there’s a lot to do, but there’s only so many steps because of breaking them down so much. I’d also suggest removing the steps that they really don’t think they need, and then go from there. Suggest possibly organizing the steps in a planner or schedule, getting as many done as they can in a certain amount of time as a fun challenge, and encourage them to keep going. I’d also tell them to make sure to finish all real life responsibilities before online ones, even if the SWC needs are more fun. I’d also tell them that it isn’t the end of the world if they don’t reach their word count or update it daily, and to not worry about it so much.
7. SWC has had a very large impact on me. I used to write almost daily when I was younger, then stopped for a while due to many reasons, mostly just forgetting how much I loved it. But, when I found the camper signups back in February? I was back. I’ve been writing more since, and I’m so glad that I was reminded of just how much I enjoyed this art form. I’ve found such a wonderfully kind and welcoming community, as well, that I feel like I’ve finally found a Scratch group really similar to me that actually knows of my existence, unlike previous communities I’d been in. I want to do my best to make new SWCers have that same sense of belonging and excitement and wait for the next session to come around. I would do this by welcoming new SWCers in my cabin, and making sure that they know how to get to the main cabin, our cabin, and overall guide them around and introduce them to other people.
8. A fun, interactive plot focused cabin that's still competitive. With a fun murder mystery plot that's slowly revealed throughout the session, campers would complete quests and gain points equally.
9. Will I be able to help add points in the Main Cabin consistently throughout camp? Yes! Am I willing to share a promotional project for SWC? It depends on what it is. I would be happy to make projects for my cabin, but probably not for SWC in general. Am I willing to put the camper signups link in my ‘About Me’ or ‘What I’m Working On’ on my Scratch Profile? I would, but I don’t have enough space. I will if I’m able to make enough room, though!! Are there any leadership responsibilities listed in the FAQ that you cannot complete? Nope!
10. For my masquerade outfit, I would have a large slightly poofy gown that’s colored with sparkling shades of purple, ranging from a light amethyst to a deep royal purple. It would have a bow on the back of my waist with long flowing ends. It would have thick straps and a relatively deep v-neck, and a very very deep v-back. I don’t know what it’s called when it’s in the back. My hair would be partially up in a braided bun, and the rest would be short. I’m not putting my persona in this, this is ME. I would never cut my persona’s luscious hair!! I would have a crystal lavender head piece in the bun, and I would also have gloves that go up to about an inch below my elbow. My mask would have feathers over my eyes and along the bottom of the mask. It would be light purple with the details being a dark and deep purple. It would also have large pearls in the tips with smaller ones on the accompanying edges.

Oh well.
Those are mainly hobbies that definitely won’t shape my career choices, but I could go on for eternity if I listed all my interests. I think I may get too attached to some pieces of media… But I definitely highly recommend all of those things listed previously! Still catching my breath after that list, JEEZ. A lot of those are shows or movies I watch/watched with my family at some point, but the rest I found on my own and enjoy lots. I also love doing kandi!! It’s very fun, relaxing (sometimes) and lets me express myself. I got my first bead kit for Christmas last year, and I’ve been making cuffs and accessories ever since!! I think I’ve yapped enough at this point, so we shall now move on I suppose.
2: November will be my third session of SWC! I don’t lead many things in real life, and I haven’t led or colead in SWC before, but when I have group projects in school, I almost always end up being the one who takes charge for the project. Whether that’s a poster, an online event, or something else I always volunteer for most of the work and help organize everything. I also used to run a couple of ‘clubs’ in mid elementary school. And also no, not all the stories I’m telling are from elementary school because I’m only now getting out of there, I was just quite… Bold in elementary school. Definitely wasn’t the intense audhd.
ANYWAYS one of those clubs was actually a writing club, believe it or not! That one was also the one I was most passionate about, as well. Scheduled Zoom meetings for each one and everything. The clubs helped me realize I don’t need to lead everything on my own, and I can let others lead by my side. Also putting a paper up on a wall during recess to get people to sign up is not the best marketing strategy. I also helped out a lot in computer class if the teacher was helping somebody else, but I’m not quite sure that’s a leadership role. That taught me that sometimes you will have to help people on your own, but you should still take time to yourself. And again, I’ve been writing since early elementary school.
I’ve learned from group projects and such to always make sure everybody plays their part and has a part to play in the first place, so I would be sure to reach out to my campers as much as I can as a leader.
3: I would really like to lead Mystery as a cabin!! I have a very good idea for something I can do for the storyline, with the cabin having the same theme as this application, Only Murders in the Building.
From what I think, here are some other genres that could fit the plot: action, thriller, tragicomedy, gothic, and fan-fi.
If I’m a co-leader, though, I’d be happy with being in pretty much any cabin! For me, the theming and creativity of a cabin matters more than the genre chosen for them.
4: I’m going to try to dedicate as much time as I can to SWC. I go back to school soon, so I may have difficulty keeping up with planning in September and early October, but hopefully I’ll be able to manage things better by the time that camp starts. I do have a lot of after school stuff (musical, therapy, guitar) that I’m busy with every week, but I don’t get weekend homework this year (I think) and I’m completely free Mondays, Fridays, and the weekend. This means I will be mainly active Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I would like to try to spend about an hour or two on SWC each day I can, too. I will also try to start talking about time management with my therapist so I can manage generally everything a bit better.
My strengths in time management are being able to work efficiently once I start. If I start putting effort into a project, I keep going at that level nonstop until I’m finished. I don’t have other strengths, though, sadly.
5: Online, my communication style is usually… Emojis. That’s a good description, yeah. And the words ‘ty’ and ‘sob’ That sums it up, nothing more! Just kidding, my online communication style is usually efficient and gets to the point quickly.
In group settings, I usually do my best to check in on people if they seem to be inactive or don’t seem to be feeling the best, and I do my best to make sure everybody is engaged and enjoying themselves.
For conflict, though, I would try to understand both sides of the argument first then ask both sides to show what they think to the other person. I would then suggest some ideas to resolve the conflict as best I could.

8: A fun, interactive plot focused cabin that's still competitive. With a fun murder mystery plot that's slowly revealed throughout the session, campers would complete quests and gain points equally.
I would foster and maintain this atmosphere by notifying campers when the next part of the storyline came out, along with reminding campers if the cabin is falling behind on the schedule for the session and we need to pick up the pace with activities.
I would also try to incorporate competition by making completing camp activities like dailies and word wars part of the storyline activities, along with making sure to have Cabin Wars events so people can focus on writing dailies and weeklies while still completing said storyline activities.
9: Will I be able to help add points in the Main Cabin consistently throughout camp? Yes!
Am I willing to share a promotional project for SWC? It depends on what it is. I would be happy to make projects for my cabin, but probably not for SWC in general.

I’m hopefully going to be a dance or visual arts major this year in school, as well! I also have been doing my school district’s musical for the past two years. I’m so determined to get a lead this year, my goodness.
I’ve also been playing guitar for.. Woah, this is my eighth year of playing that I’m going into now. Wow. I am starting to write songs again, though! Not quite confident enough to make them with my own voice right now, so I’m stuck since I can’t buy a vocaloid voice bank at the moment. Oh well.
Those are mainly hobbies that definitely won’t shape my career choices, but I could go on for eternity if I listed all my interests.
I think I may get too attached to some pieces of media… But I definitely highly recommend all of those things listed previously! Still catching my breath after that list, sheesh.
Anyways, one of those clubs was actually a writing club, believe it or not!
From SWC, though, I’ve learned countless writing skills in just the two sessions I’ve done! I also learned lots about leadership from when I hosted SAC back in May, despite the session failing spectacularly. SWC has also taught me to be welcoming and kind to everybody online and explain things to new people as best I can whenever I can.
3: I would really like to lead Mystery as a cabin!! I have a very good idea for something I can do for the storyline, with the cabin having the same theme as this application, Only Murders in the Building.
There’s been another murder in the Arconia, conveniently when the main characters from the show, Charles, Mable, and Oliver are on a vacation. It also happens to occur when a bunch of new residents, the campers, are moving into the building.
I would very much prefer to not lead TCTWNW, but would be fine with co-leading it!
4: I’m going to try to dedicate as much time as I can to SWC. I go back to school soon, so I may have difficulty keeping up with planning in September and early October, but hopefully I’ll be able to manage things better by the time that camp starts. I may start to get busy by the end of November, but that depends on whether or not I end up as a dance major with a large role.
If this does happen, though, I will still help with SWC as much as possible. I’m going to do this by putting a sticky note on my computer for the month reminding me to check Scratch and finish up SWC responsibilities once I get home, but of course after homework since life always > SWC.
I do have a lot of after school stuff such as my district musical, therapy, and guitar, of which I’m busy with every week. I don’t think I get weekend homework this year and I’m completely free Mondays, Fridays, and the weekend.
I would use this for planning by being able to prepare multiple challenge descriptions in a relatively short amount of time while fellow leaders would work on other things we’d need to get done. I don’t have other strengths, though, sadly.
5: My online communication style is usually efficient and gets to the point quickly.
In group settings, I usually do my best to check in on people if they seem to be inactive or don’t seem to be feeling the best, and I try my hardest to make sure everybody is engaged and enjoying themselves.
For conflict, though, I would make my best attempt to understand both sides of the argument first then ask both sides to show what they think to the other person.
I would then suggest some solutions to resolve the conflict as best I could, such as compromises or separate ideas from the ones the people may be arguing about.
I always hold myself accountable if I notice that I’m falling behind on a certain role or responsibility. As soon as I realize, I apologize for my team’s inconvenience and finish that job as soon as I can by removing things that commonly distract me so I can complete it faster.
Sometimes I can forget those types of things, though, so I would be sure to request to my group that if I’m taking a bit too long on something to remind me whenever they can.
If it’s another person, though, I would gently remind them at first to complete whatever needs to get done, then if it’s important or urgent, slowly get a bit more urgent in the requests.
6: For scenario A, I would tell them that they should try breaking down what they’re overwhelmed by into different chunks, then narrow those chunks down even more into small steps. I’d let them know that it might seem like there’s a lot to do, but there’s only so many pieces because of breaking them down so much.
I’d also suggest removing the stages that they really don’t think they need, and then go from there. Suggest possibly organizing the steps in a planner or schedule, getting as many done as they can in a certain amount of time as a fun challenge, and encourage them to keep going.
I’d also say to them to make sure to finish all real life responsibilities before online ones, even if the SWC needs are more fun. Life > SWC!!! I’d also tell them that it isn’t the end of the world if they don’t reach their word count or update it daily, and to not worry about it so much.
7: SWC has had a very large and intense impact on me. I used to write almost daily when I was younger, then stopped for a while due to many reasons, mostly just forgetting how much I loved it. But, when I found the camper signups back in February? I was back.
I’ve been writing more since, and I’m so glad that I was reminded of just how much I enjoyed this art form, and along with that I’ve found such a wonderfully kind and welcoming community; I feel like I’ve finally found a Scratch group really similar to me that actually knows of my existence, unlike previous communities I’d been in.
I want to do my best to make new SWCers have that same sense of belonging and excitement and wait for the next session to come around. I would do this by welcoming new SWCers in my cabin, and making sure that they know how to get to the main cabin, our cabin, and overall guide them around and introduce them to other people to guarantee that they all feel like they’re welcomed and belong.
8: “A fun, interactive plot focused cabin that's still competitive. With a fun murder mystery plot that's slowly revealed throughout the session, campers would complete quests and gain points equally.” (196 characters)
If I was a co-leader, though, I would openly adapt any dynamic or atmosphere that the official leader had originally planned to use, even if it’s nothing like what I wanted for my own cabin!
9: Will I be able to help add points in the Main Cabin consistently throughout camp? Yes!
Am I willing to share a promotional project for SWC? It depends on what it is. I would be happy to make projects for my cabin, but probably not for SWC in general.
Nope!
10: For my masquerade outfit, I would have a large slightly poofy gown that’s colored with sparkling shades of purple, ranging from a light amethyst to a deep royal purple.
