Does anybody notice that if you don't verafiy your email address, you can't share projects?? Anyways, did anyone read or skim at least the tos part where it allows kids to use the site if they get accepted by an adult?

Is this related to the Scratch Team sharing users' projects on social media?

The license didn't say they HAD TO share it on SMs.I have a better idea:But the license is irrevocable so if ST wants to they can still keep doing forever legally
st should NOT USE TWITTER
nah for real this time
I didn’t know that ST was showing users projects to that site until now
thats literally the reason why the only social media I use is YouTube and that blue server and call app
(and no, @realgdfsg is an abandoned acc)
did ST do sociology on that site?
i’m going to continue to rant until ST reconsiders their X app thingy

Most companies have social media accounts to advertise, even companies in control of kid's social platforms.why would they advertise on X that has loose rules about bullying
I mean sure the 13+ requirement is only for accounts
but that doesn’t mean that ST should show the project on X

i think whether it's in the tos or not, it's still nice and just generally good manners to ask or notify first

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your point, but as far as I'm aware, neither the email-confirmation feature nor the Terms of Service's statements on age requirements are directly related to the idea of the Scratch Team sharing others' projects on social media. The email-confirmation feature is to allow Scratchers to share comments and projects on the Scratch website, which is not directly related to other social media websites. The Terms of Service's statements on age requirements is for using the Scratch website, and this part of the Terms of Service does not reference other social media websites. The title “Ask Scratchers for consent before sharing their project on social media”?Does anybody notice that if you don't verafiy your email address, you can't share projects??This has been a feature for a while. why would they advertise on X that has loose rules about bullyingSo parents with children see a site their children may enjoy.
i think whether it's in the tos or not, it's still nice and just generally good manners to ask or notify firstI agree. That said, as of today, there is nothing generally people can do about this issue. For those “up in arms” about it on this topic, your only option really is to get off Scratch, or perhaps start reading the ToS you sign.
