Dear Lune,
I fear that there is nothing new to say to you in this introduction </3 We must be soulmates with the way we keep bumping into each other all the time; it's quite ridiculous that I see you EVERYWHERE omg. I'm super happy to be your penpal for this session because I may or may not have been mildly ghosted by my penpals in the last session… :sadness:

Usually I'm the one to start with a really long letter, but I want to leave this thread open for you to start the introductory letter! I shall be awaiting it with excitement <3

HELLO HELLO! A quick warning, forums like these in things i'm making and creating might get closed by the scratch team– i've seen that happen before.
so this is a note to the scratch team I suppose…. this is a penpal project for scratch writing camp, not a chatroom! <3
anyways i'm slightly busy right now SO i'll write a letter in a bit ;DD <3

Dear Ava,

Soulmate indeed o7 Hopefully I won't end up being another penpal ghost of your past ahaha i'll try my best :-D Unfortunately we all know how life can get to you… but I've had a lot of time this summer so far, and I don't think that'll change anytime soon!

Although we end up chatting a lot, I don't think I know you super well as far as interests go, so I'm really excited to get that going this session :> Unfortunately my small talk skills can get lacking sometimes ;-; less so on Scratch though so it shouldn't be too much of a struggle!

Other than writing, what do you like to do with your life? I'm really into reading and theater! My current favorite authors are Suzanne Collins, Alice Oseman, Andy Weir, Jennifer Lynn Barnes, and Marissa Meyer! I love all of them so much <3 If you want to dive further into my reading history, don't hesitate to ask! There's a lot, and I LOVE talking about books. Theater-wise, I love both musical theater and normal theater! But my all-time favorite is improv. There's nothing quite like it in the world. My favorite musicals are currently (it changes a lot I fear) Come From Away, Hadestown, Little Shop of Horrors, Beetlejuice, Operation Mincemeat, and Spamalot (I love Monty Python so much sdfghkl)! I may be going to see Operation Mincemeat and Spamalot this year, both at very cool theaters (one more local but still super professional, and one that's basically Broadway), and I am HYPED for that.

Live theater, in my opinion, is pretty much one of the greatest joys of life– watching people become characters onstage never fails to amaze me. And similar to reading, I can get very far into my theater history if you want to hear about that!

Art is something I constantly struggle with– but I also love it and want to gain a good art style desperately. It's a love-hate relationship. Currently, I'm in that awkward stage where you're still finding your art style, and it doesn't help that I'm massively intimidated by shading, anatomy, and anything realistic. So that's fun!

I'm learning French in school right now, which is super random but it popped into my head lol and I will take conversation topics where I can get them. I can have.. basic conversations. Here's a quick French introduction: Salut! Je m'appelle Lune. Je suis fatigue, mais bien. Comment ca va (I can also say a bit more introductory stuff, but it's not exactly stuff I'm comfortable posting online)?

As you can probably tell, I'm not amazing at it. I can say a bit more, but it's pretty random lol.

Do you play any instruments? I've tried to learn the guitar and the recorder, and sort of the piano, but I just cannot retain the focus it takes </3 It's a super cool thing to know how to do, though, and I'm always very impressed with people who can!

I love bugs! As long as they don't sting. I'm deathly terrified of bugs that sting. And I don't exactly love cockroaches or mosquitos or ants. But I'm obsessed with moths, cicadas, praying mantises, beetles, and more! Especially moths, though. They're actually adorable if you look up close :>

Television-wise… I enjoy cartoons such as Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Amphibia, and Hilda, along with competition shows like Great British Bakeoff or The Voice.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE graphic design, but I sometimes struggle with it. When I'm in the zone, though, I love creating things! Canva is absolutely my home.

Music-wise, I like pop and musicals, mainly! My favorite pop artists are Sierra Sikora, Olivia Rodrigo (I'M IN LOVE WITH THE NEW ALBUM), and Taylor Swift (I know I'm such a classic American girl :skull: ) <3 And of course you've already heard my tastes in musicals ;DD

This is very very random… but I just realized I've hit 500+ posts on forums! I have no idea when that happened lol but yay :0

I'm trying to keep this letter as long as possible, but I fear my conversation skills are beginning to fail me… it's just as I suspected ToT

The next few parts are mainly just feeble grasps at conversation! Yay, I suppose?

I'm not a huge video gamer, but I enjoy Stardew Valley and the occasional Mario Kart or Stickfight! Unfortunately I have a hard time focusing on them, and I never seem to enjoy them quite as much as I feel like I should.

I love food ehe and I could eat extra-fried fries for the rest of my life :-)) Soft pretzels are the love of life as well!

Lastly… I really enjoy math! It's gloriously fun to puzzle out solutions <3
