Title: the letter from the past.
dear future self,
I'm pretty sure you're going to be heartbroken at this point. The past has been rocky emotionally speaking (friends + crushes who left), but it has something that made me - and therefore you - grow. From this first day of July in 2026 (and some of the last day of the June), I feel sad and reminiscent, but also hopeful. Listening to Taylor Swift's folklore album (clean) is also lovely when writing.
I have only just started Art Fight 2026, with the first occurence of 3 teams for 10 years of the website. Mystery, Comedy, and Tragedy… Of course I'd stick with Mystery, since I like mysterious guys and like to be mysterious myself (at this point, I may have lost myself and changed to you, but I am sure I am not going to regret it).
I wish you all the best for Scratch Writing Camp and Art Fight, if you're still participating. I really hope it goes well. Oh, and remember that olive oil massaged in your nose and scratched a bit takes off those sebaceous pores - in English, things that are clogging your pores.
I am quite sure it has 300+ words for the daily, but I shall write one last thing: remember to stay true to yourself - no matter how hard people pressure you. And you can say no, you're not obligated to everyone's requests.
And apparently it's not 300 words yet lol anyways, please stay rooted in faith. Your belief is what makes things real, so take care to not believe things if you suspicious that they're not true. School must probably have tired you, but that is the path you chose, after all.
Your past self and previous future self,
~Lazuli (1 July 2026)
P.S. Finally 300 words now. You'd probably be angry at me trying to reach the word goal so fast like this loll

Title: please shower.
Note: I can't remember any misheard lyrics, but I'm pretty sure I've done them before. Going to choose a misheard lyric I found on YouTube and hopefully that counts (at least for words ToT)
please shower.
I got out of school and onto the hot sidewalk. Luckily today was the last day of school - but unluckily, it was the hottest day so far. Everyone at school had smelled, and I couldn't wait to get home to get all the sweat off of me.
“Hey Carmen,” a stranger about a few years older than me said as I made my way home on foot. He was at least 5 inches taller than me, with a good-looking face and a smirk on his face. “Come with me.”
I tried to protest as he tightly grabbed my had dragged me into a nearby garbage, going limp to try to get him loosen his grasp, but he succeeded in pulling me off the pavement and into the garage. I would have had enjoyed being able to cool off, if not for how I had gotten here.
I reached to pull out my phone, but the realized the strange was looking straight at me. Thankfully, he was focused on my face. I remembered there probably was no Internet here, so no use trying to call my mom, dad, or older sister. They wouldn't be too worried if I vanished for another 2 hours.
But longer? They'd definitely freak out. I had to get out of here before then. Lost in thought, I jerked up as the stranger spoke. “Don't you want to ask me any questions as to why I suddenly dragged you off the road even though I didn't know you?”
I sighed. “Yes. But since when will you answer?”
“Agreed. However, my name is Sylvester. Stop referring to me as ”stranger“. I pulled you off the road - honestly - just because I need someone to assist me saving the world. You're really smart, according to the school's system. Mind helping me?”
“Are you going to let me go if I say no? And sick mind reading skills, by the way.”
“Probably not… But you should know, I'm not going to hurt you. In the meantime, make yourself comfortable. This is my infinitely secure temporary base.”
“What will you give me if I agree to the plan?”
“Thanks for considering. You'll be able to see your parents, get a education better than this lousy school's, and get paid $50 every day.”
“I'm in. When do we start?”
“Really fast. First, I want you to just relax for the first day. Memorize placements of things, do your last schoolwork, and take a shower. Though, I would suggest you take a shower in an hour. Study this place, talk to me, take inventory. You can connect your phone to my Internet, but all games and any texts suggesting the deal I made with you are blocked.”
pacing around, I wondered what I had done other than try to work hard to get my parents' and older sister's approval to get into this situation. To be honest, I found Sylvester intriguing and kind of hot, but the plan was to leave and never come back. Unfortunately, I had probably underestimated his safety systems, and everything seemed to have a tracker - all entrances except the main door were barred.
“I think I'll go take a shower now. You should take one, too,” I said to Sylvester. Waving to him behind my back, I left. I knew he would find me when he needed to.

Title: screenplay - The Stars Above
Characters
Jake Aercon - laidback, easygoing kind of guy. Fidgets when bored or had nothing to do, or perhaps just is nervous. Slightly wavy black shoulder-length hair, dark green eyes, handsome face. Light tan skin.
Jered Cameron - Jake's best guy friend, contrasting with him. He's abrupt, and gives bad boy vibes. Secretive, quiet, but when he speaks, his voice is steady and strong. Hair shoulder-length, dark blue and straight. Grey eyes and olive skin.
Jrea Hudson - Jake's girl best friend, love interest. Waistlength wavy auburn hair, dark blue eyes, and a tan complexion. Tomboy, but only in style and choice of colors. Loves to chill with friends and play games if with others, otherwise you can find her doomscrolling, studying, or perhaps (rarely) reading a book.
Setting
Sunset, about 6:30pm. In the park apon a hill, where the sun is clearly seen andthe clouds are a beautiful variants of purple and pink.
Act I
Scene I
JAKE and JREA are sitting around a table in a gazebo, discussing the day.
JAKE: How was school? (nonchalantly)
JREA: okay, I guess. Got a whole bunch of homework since I was sick last month and skipped a lot of “Important Stuff”, apparently. You?
JAKE: Can't say I'm good, but definitely getting by. Was a relief to finally meet up here, we haven't seen each other for so long.
JREA: *adjusts baseball cap* Well, yeah. But we did text each other.
JAKE: That's not what I meant.
JREA: Through so. uhh- Anyways, have you seen Jered around school lately? Since you guys are higher than my freshman level, thought your schedules are definitely a bit more similar.
JAKE: *shakes head* Honestly, I'm worried about him. He hasn't read or responded to my texts in a week. I was planning to drop by his house later to check in on him. Wanna come?
JREA: Nah, sorry, my parents are always strict about my seven PM curfew. Some stars are coming out, though, not to mention that beautiful sunset. Want to go for a short walk?
JAKE: *smiles slightly* Sure.
JAKE and JREA exit the gazebo.
Act I
Scene 2
JAKE and JREA enter the nature and sunset scene at the top of a grassy hill.
JREA: ooh. wow.
JAKE: Didn't seem you were the kind of person who would be so in awe to be short of words.
JREA: *gently shoves JAKE's shoulder* shut up. Still, you've gotta say this view is amazing.
JAKE: yup.
JREA: *Gazes up at the darkening stars* And look at those stars… The really make the sky pop, enchanting me - and maybe you, if you bothered to look up.
JAKE: Was that a snide remark? Because I always look up for flying criminals and superheroes *exaggeratedly looks up* But yes, the stars look good tonight. As does the moon.
JREA: Maybe. And yeah.
JAKE kisses JREA shortly.
JREA: uh- what was that for?
JAKE: for accidentally making snide remarks. Also, you did look nice then.
JREA grabs JAKE's arms and pulls him off stage right.

Phantomia - Fantasy Worldbuilding
391 words
Phantomia is the world of my fantasy story. It is a rather abandoned planet - in terms on being inhabited by humans. The indigenous species always keep humans out, and no one bothered to explore any more of this planet, since all results were uncessful. Those who managed to enter were never seen again, lost or in love.
With gorgeous, mysterious, and biomes incomprehensible by the human mind, Phantomia is one of those darkly beautiful worlds scientists, scholars, researchers, and others of the type often to whisper about. Lots of species inhabit the land, such as: Faeries, mermaids, elves, centaurs, and the rare magic wielders - human-looking, but deadly magical and an immortal species.
As of animals and plant life, Phantomia has all the varieties of Earth plus more. Butterflycorns - unicorns with butterfly wings are among one of the most popular creatures determined the higher intelligence creatures.
While the biomes are not known to humans - and never will, I might add - there are tundras, grasslands, rainforests, deciduous, wrinsnoir, and carboners. The last two are hard to describe, but I shall attempt to do so below.
Wrinsnoir is a mix of the grasslands and deciduous forests biomes. However, there also large soft mushrooms locals call “drimohöven”, which can be used as trampolines, beds, soft benches, or even for food and herbal tea. There are at least 50 of these mushrooms per square kilometer.
Carboner is the biome of the sky. Usually, the locations of this biome is at the edge of a steep cliff, or about a mile in the air, perhaps reachable a trip by dragon or other such flying beast. While many species visit, most of its inhabitants are faeries. This biome is made out of fluffy but yet solid and bouncy clouds in many different colors, some floating flowers and trees, and multiple dark purple caves.
Phantomia is about twice the size of Earth. Its four moons are Shoni, Carriö, Philo, and Quarzin. They have a similar calendar as Earth, and each moon characterizes one season, given each moon's cycle travels in a long oval shape, lasting 2 years to make a full circle. While there is no sun, there are light orbs much closer to the planet - of which there are so many none are named. At night, the reigning moon and many stars softly light the atmosphere.

Part 1 - 100+ words in notes of fantasy elements + ideas for world
fantasy elements
179 words
• fauna
elves, centaurs, dragons, fairies, witches + wizards. Magical unicorns with sparkly poop (iykyk), different animals/temporary familiars who are conjured through magical stones touched by those who have a specific blood/heritage recalling a memory with a specific emotion. Caterpillars who smoke hookahs, creepy grinning cats, rabbits who are rushing for time. Shapeless, void monsters, onis who can get outwitted by humans. Also dwarves.
• flora
delicious mushrooms that may or may not have effects, bouncy giant mushrooms, and definitely poisonous mushrooms… Flowers that can eat you, flowers that heal magically. Rivers of youth, poisonous/transformation pools, crystals that grow out of the ground.
• my fantasy world (ideas)
- Dragons who covet the crystals that grow out of the ground, but protective and strong elves who continue to guard the crystals
- Cute but deadly powerful and magical cats who solves crimes. This particular time, though, they're becoming investigating cats, finding out who stole the caterpillar's top hat.
- A free, whimsical romance featuring an ethereal faerie and shape-shifting cursed monster. They go on exciting adventures, all scenic places and gorgeous beaches.

Part 3: 500+ words of a story that's in your fantasy land.
Phantomia - The Faery and the Dark One
510 words
Matthew roamed the forests at night in his human form. As a shifting monster, that was the only time he could come out without the risk of being discovered. Already people were becoming suspicious about the footprints that were left after a night. Where would he ever be safe?
A rustle in the trees alerted him that there was an animal - or an idiotic spy - above him. “Who's there? Show yourself.”
“Just me,” a glowing faery said, jumping down gracefully. She was almost as tall as his human form, and had an ethereal beauty. She was calm, almost friendly as she winked at him and clasped her hands behind her back. “Leilan at your disposal.”
He had to do a double take, considering his eyes had adjusted to the darkness, and now it was bright. “Uhh… Grrr… I eat faeries for midnight snacks…?”
The faery laughed, tinkling giggles filling out the space. “Not very convincing, are you? Anyways, would you mind running away with me to explore Phantomia?”
“Why should I?” Knowing the jig was up, he scratched his head, unsure what to do next. No way was he ever going to actually kill, much less eat a faery…. Besides, this was interesting.
“Because you're getting hunted down, and so am I! Thrilling, I know. But since you and I have that in common, might as well lead them on a good trail instead of these boooring forests.”
He immediately took offense. “Look, ”these forests“ are MY home. Excuse me if I kick you out right now for that insult.” He took what he hoped to be a menacing step forward.
The faery actually looked worried now. “Look, just follow me now. I don't want to get caught, and neither do you. They're sending out search parties come sunrise, and I need you.”
There were numerous thoughts in his mind, but he understood they were no match for numerous villagers. Still, one more important question: “how do you know about the hunt?”
“I have my resources, unlike you. I heard from a villager boy who promised to exchange information for some faerie dust, which I am sure he is now using to wreak chaos.”
Matthew winced, but at least it was a better distraction to imagine what the boy could be doing now instead of focusing on why he decided to follow the faery. “Fine, I'm in. What do you want to do with me?”
“Just… Travel, see scenery, chill, get to know each other, and uhh- meditate?”
“… Fine. You do know I'm a shapeshifter right?”
“Yep! Feel to take any form except mine during the trip. I guess pack your bags?”
“I had everything here,” Matthew gestured to his little crossbody bag. “Y'know, after a point you realize you're carrying too much and just carry the essentials.”
“okay. Let's go to Martini Beach! We'll make it if we leave soon.”
Matthew shook his head and muttered. “I have no idea what I got myself into… Hope it's good.”
Part 4: Find another person's world and combine with yours. Write 500+ words about the combined worlds.
Phantomia - The Crossover
555 words
Along the way, the faery (who appeared not to want to share her name, always changing the subject when Matthew asked for it) led Matthew off a beaten path, the topped abruptly. He stumbled and managed to catch himself.
“What the- oh.” He realized the faery had just saved him from falling off a high cliff and into whatever lay at least a few kilometers below.
“And that is why we faeries are safer - we have wings,” the faery said in a bragging, matter-of-fact way. “Also, I'm going to explore and see if there is any Carboner down there.”
With that, she plunged of the edge, using her wings to slow her fall and heading deeper. Matther sat down and dangled his legs over the edge. Who knew how long she would take - she'd already wasted about half of the journey cooing about “fantastical” new nature.
There was a voice. “Come on, jump down!” it sounded like the faery, but instead of coming from the bottom like he'd expected, it came from the sky. “There's a portal that brings you to this odd land up here!”
Matther gulped, closed his eyes, then pushed himself over the edge. “GAAaAAAHH!!!” he screamed as he finally realized what he's just done. Oh wait- he quickly shifted to a similar form to the faery, then went down slower.
Suddenly, there was a sucking noise, and he felt himself warped into - another dimension? But nope, there was the faery, he's just been transported - up. Weird. Odd, indeed.
He took in his surroundings. Some sort of island, with bigger neighboring islands. And then some strange song eminating from the nearest island.
“Come on,” the faery repeated. She was already flying across the sky space that separated his island the the singing island.
He groaned, rolled his eyes, and yet still followed. He'd agreed to adventure with her after all. The singing was mystical, lyrical, and yet… Foreign. Then he spotted some sort of intelligent being looking at him. He waved awkwardly, then ran over to the faery.
“Are you sure this is Carboner? Because it's completely different.” Matthew said.
“I know. That's what I'm trying to figure out,” and to Matthew's horror, she headed over to the strange being and asked what was this land.
“Oh. Uh… This is Aldervale, in the Shard Reaches.” He - or she, or they - replied. “But this is a world, not a land.”
Finally, the unflappable faery was… Flapped? Whatever was the opposite, she stumble into Matthew, who was almost knocked over, but managed to hold both of them up.
“What the heck? Hey, faery, I guess this wasn't what you expected.” He said - while he wasn't usually snarky, all the shock and anger at always having to follow her around came out.
“Yeah,” the faery said, regaining balance. “How are we going to get back?”
The being hadn't spoken during this exchange, but now he/she/they did. “You mean you came from another world?”
“Yep, pretty sure,” Matthew said for the faery. “Unless your name for your world means ‘Phantomia’ in a different language.”
“-AND we have no idea how to get back. Fly in the air perhaps?” Came the faery weakly.
The End. (for now, or not)

242 words for just critique
Critique for @moosywoosy's writing about Lemons
Overview: amazing work! Really had to look for errors and they're tiny. 8/10. Some of what I say may not makes sense or is baseless, I sometimes base off of what I feel sounds wrong or right, which usually works, but idk.
No spelling mistakes, as far as I can see….
You asked for if the themes made sense - well it kinda just seems like the mom has a lot of hate for lemons, which is unexplainable, except maybe for the given definition of the slang. If the point you wanted to get across was that the mom wasn't accepting of lemons simply because of what they meant it slang, it wasn't really obvious, I think…
Anyways, if you have any other specific questions, feel free to contact me on my profile!

I supposed that was true.Perhaps use “suppose”, though everything is past tense, somehow it feels that supposed is wrong…
My sister poured the lemon cream into its crust. “My fingers get sticky from the lemon juice, she’s afraid it’ll stick to her.” My sister murmured. “She thinks the smell of lemon zest will get all over the house, and then everyone will smell like it.”Perhaps replace “my sister” with “she” in the 3rd and 5th sentences? There isn't anyone else acting or speaking so far from the narrator's point of view. (except the narrator, who wouldn't say “she” for herself)
My sister sighed and placed the pie in the oven. “I guess I'll have to wash my hands before she gets home, then.”
My sister insists she wants to eat lemons—but my mom insists that if she wants to eat fruit so badly—it has to be anything but a lemon. My sister is still unwavering—and my mom still yells at her.Since the story is written as past tense, I would suggest changing to these words: insisted she wanted and insisted. I believe the last two: “still unwavering” and “still yells” is correct if you're trying to convey that the argument still exists even now.
No spelling mistakes, as far as I can see….

Cabin Wars - 11/7/2026
title: The tissue summoner.
Words: 305
(Total) Words: 353
The forest was cool as Jason sat down to enjoy his lemonade. He enjoyed it here, where the stones were covered in soft green moss and he could be alone with his thoughts after a busy day. It is not to say that he didn't enjoy being with friends, but he could get misunderstood or miunderstand a lot, and being alone was relaxing.
A lazy four-meter-wide river was two meters to his right, and the slow breeze calmed him as he took some sips of the refreshing lemonade. Everything was familiar - except was that a glass jar laying on its side over there? It must have been dragged by the river, as it sat right on the edge.
Leaving the lemonade on a nearby tree stump, and walked over and grabbed the jar. The cover fell off, and something came out - or rather, floated out. “Hello,” it said.
Jason blinked. “Uhh- what are you? I mean, who?”
“What, me?” the floating being took a shape of a man with long hair. “A little demon- excuse me, but I prefer to be called a genie.”
“ookay… And why are you here?”
“You released me. So I shall now bestow you with 1,000 boxes of tissue paper every month.”
“No, I don't need-” Suddenly, Jason was engulfed in tissue paper boxes. “Hey, get back here!”
But it was too late. The genie had escaped, thanks to the accidental opening of the cover.
And now Jason had A LOT of tissue paper. He decided to sell half of it at a very cheap price, which got him quite a substantial amount of money. Still, he'd always regret reaching for a jar on a day. That didn't stop him from returning every day to enjoy the company of nature, however.
The End
Prompt: you're not being annoying no worries!!
hmm let's see… your character accidentally summons a demon that's one power is to summon boxes of tissues in bulk!

Rant 1 for cabin wars
Words: 307
(Total) Words: 317
Hello everyone! Soo it's cabin wars, I am so back to rant… I can't believe this is actually happening ahhhh…. My second time going to SWC, and it's becoming more fun somehow… It took forever to wait for the event to start, but now that it did, really fun.
Besides, there are also other camps along the way. This hopefully isn't my last swc, as I might not join the November session due to going to school… Yeah. I definitely would join if I could though!
I really hope I can reach my word goal of 15000 words this month… But if I don't, definitely reaching 10000 this month as I could reach it last month without any problem… And now some random memory + fiction story:
The jellyfish was slimy as I touched it. Glowing naturally and cramped in with other jellyfish like it, I loved the jellylike feel. Unfortunately, I had to move away, as other people had queued up behind me and were patiently waiting - I did not want them to be unpatient and start a commotion, so I left.
Later at night, I dreamt I was on a beach. The water sparkled under the mysterious full moon, and glowing algae could be seen underneath. Suddenly, there was a jellyfish floating on the surface, coming to me, gliding on the sand smoothly as if it was glass.
It came over to me, the wriggled as if it wanted to be petted. Squatting down, I lowered my hand and petted its top, just like I had previously in the zoo. I found it relaxing, and lay down against a mossy rock to support my back.
After some time, I drifted off to sleep in my dream, and awoke. That was the most peaceful dream I'd had this year.
The End

For Cabin Wars 11/7/2026
Title: The Clouds Above
Words: 159
(Total) Words: 174
The clouds above soar past with the birds. They go with the flow, or rather, the wind. Oblivious to tiny activity below: Writing Camps, Writing Camp Wars, texts, and other stuff. But what they DO see is unfairness, poverty, bully!ng, disagreements, lies, and all other kinds of unfairness. Yet there is always kindness, love, truth, honesty, faith, mercy, forgiveness - fairness to counter the unfair in the world.
And the clouds and the One above sees this, waiting for the unknown day of Judgement to come. It is best that we be the fairness of this world, as its designated caretakers for this time being. For if you are found in the act of unfairness, it will be too late.
There is still time left. Put it to good use and loving, and not for the complete opposite. And since this sounds depressing, happy Cabin Wars! Hope you didn't mind this bit of information. Goodbye for now,
~Lazuli

50-headed hydra attempt for cabin wars - 11/7/2026
Words: 276
I have a bunch of Sharpies on my desk. Waiting for the to roll off, my friend nudges me. And then to stop getting annoyed, the sharpies fall off, to my disappointment. I want them back, but my friends take them, leaving me with only one. Very sad, but I'd wanted to share them after all.
The I leave school abnd come hope to Scratch Writing Camp Cabin Wars, which is extremely chaotic and I am tired. Yet I count some English essays for words and successfully, my cabin overcomes every way - except one. And now, before I really need to sleep, I am attempting a 5 headed hydra to count as words and some points as well.
I'm, not a touch type, but I am trying my best. Win or lose, I still get points for the attempt hehe. I hope our cabin can have the points in time… But I have no idea if we can make it. Byt the way,. the first part is fiction since I am homeschooled.
Tried to fit all the related parts in, so here's a ramble. I like kpop, and writing and reading is my favorite as well. I have a bracelet with “Lazuli” on it that I made…. I really don't know how to touch type - repeating myself again lol, but I hope I got 500 words done - or not. I doubt it, highly.
Not to rant about accidentally changing the language on the halfway point and taking sooo long to change it back - so frustrating when I click the wrong keys on my keyboard sometimes. I have 10 secounds left, one… Bye.

Title: randomly nothing, pt. 1
this is a random writing for at least 300 words.
talk about nothing, but this is something.
I like melted cheese, pizza, and marshmallows.
and other things, most mushrooms are disliked.
I believe I have about 250 words left.
Speedrunning this writing as quickly as I can…
Toast with butter is delicious, toast with butter and maple syrup.
Hairpins are not my favorite, I like hair ties.
Almost said hair tires lol. I hope I write enough.
I checked someone's nails today, looked nice.
Definitely fake, but good shape in taste and length.
Going to have to cut my nails tomorrow since I needed them for good presentation today.
Got some “butter slime” for a last class before September.
I got other gifts as well, but the two are my favorite.
Others tried to trade for my purple slime, but no way am I trading with other slimes that aren't really true to their color or are weird blue and teal green.
Got an account for a website today…
Hope I'm not under the age for joining because I am not so sure about being over an age means you already turned it or you're at least a year above. Definitely fit the former, not the latter.
Still have 89 words… And now less than that. Really frustrated that all of my penpal topics Scratch Writing Camp are closed, and we have to make new ones, which is totally unfair because I have not much idea why. And then where else are we going to post our long penpal letters - projects? Comments have a very tiny character limit, which is why this is unacceptable, unless that IS a CLEAR EXPLANATION. I demand one, otherwise I do not know how to stop getting my penpal letter topics closed and would probably get myself kicked out of Scratch because I annoyed Scratch Team too much,
And that's it. Bye.

675 words
The Echoes of You
characters: lonely!reader (y/n), nonidol!seonghyeon
warnings: mild language, grief, trauma of losing loved one(s), kidnapping. lowercase on purpose; sort of mentions of y/n liking/disliking something (just in case people don't like that), dystopian-ish.
lazuli's a/n: a fanfic started on just a whim… Probably just a oneshot. Made this one kinda depressing but also comforting.
words: 675
y/n wandered the streets of her city after school, the darkness and loneliness seeping her as usual. She never could shake them off, and instead treated them as companions. A shuffle of feet behind her made her pause, turning around.
“y/n, what are you doing here?” a man - or boy - with a grey hoodie that overshadowed his face said.
“who are you?” y/n said, trying to keep her composure. “keep off - I've got a knife.”
The mysterious person chuckled, then took off his hood. “it's sean. from school?” he said nervously. “don't tell anyone i was here, but what are you doing?”
So, it just had to be seonghyeon - her school's favorite boy. y/n loosened, but only slightly. “finding a good secluded spot. you shouldn't be here, it's not a good neighborhood for someone- someone like you.”
“i should say the same of you,” sean said. “go home. have a good meal, take a shower - you always tell other people that. what about yourself?”
y/n stiffened. “i-i.. it doesn't apply to me, i'm not worth it. i should ask, how do you know so much about me?”
sean sighed. “to be honest, i've always had my eyes on you. i'm worried one day you'll be walking around, like today, and then you'll be… kidnapped.”
“no… not like my siblings…” y/n muttered… “sean, you should go.”
“not until you're safe,” sean said. “listen, i know what people around school say about you, but i still came. you know why?”
“fine, i'll bite. why?”
“because i believe they're wrong. you were an innocent bystander. you have feelings, unlike whoever passes those rumors.”
y/n teared up. he sounded a lot like her only friend, who had been kidnapped in front of her. “what do you want me to do?”
“nothing. just come with me,” sean replied. “and if you need someone to talk to, i'm always there for you.”
–~*~–
y/n woke up screaming. she'd dreamt sean had gotten kidnapped, too, along with her, and they were about to- she didn't want to think about it. Looking around, she gathered her surroundings. Not a dingy abandoned garage with a leaky roof, or in a narrow gutter, or a cramped trash can.
No, the sight was unfamiliar. A hand on her should and a voice startled her. “are you okay, y/n?” it said kindly.
y/n knew it was seonghyeon immediately. No one alive so far had been so kind to her. “Where… am i?”
“At my house,” sean replied. “It took us hours to get here. I explained what happened to my parents, they set up a sleeping bag and reprimanded me for going into a dark destrict, but made food. You slept and woke up screaming. You don't remember.”
“not really,” y/n said. “gee, thanks.” It was meant to come out sarcastic, but it just sounded tired and entirely grateful. She tried to sit up, but her muscles gave out immediately and she slumped against sean.
“I mean it, seonghyeon,” y/n said. “thanks.” And she went back to sleep.
sean smiled, then put y/n fully on the sleeping bag. After just sitting there and not knowing what to do, he kissed her forehead, then muttered something.
just then, somewhere in her sleep, y/n heard something. “I hope you chase your dreams and have a better future. You'll have a new life here. I love you.”

Title: Together Still
Words: 606
(Total) Words: 630
Note: I got Lover, Horror, Long-Forgotten Place, and In media res.
I screamed. Yep, you heard me right. I screamed. Crouched behind a gravestone in a very oddly familiar graveyeard in the middle of the night, I pressed my back towards the cold granite, hoping the thumps that were apparently eminating from everywhere would go away. But they didn't. In fact, the thumps were growing louder, and there were more of them.
I finally mastered the courage to peek out from behind my gravestone. I almost screamed again at the sight. At least a hundred rotting humans were gathered behind me, seemingly marching around, looking for something - or someone. I couldn't get a good look at their faces, but other than the rotting smell, they seemed totally intact.
Enthralled, I felt the urge to search the crowd - with my eyes, of course - to find him. The “him” in question was boyfriend Junn, who mysteriously disappeared when he's excused himself from a picnic in the park to “quickly check out a view from the cliff”. He'd known I'd hated heights, so let me be while he quickly checked the view out.
But he had never returned. Since then, I've traveled for two years trying to find him. Me and some of my temporary friends I had searched the bottom of the cliff for him most recently, but he was not to be found. And then I'd discovered a familiar cemetery with an even more familiar house behind it, which was now locked, meaning I had to camp outside… Leading to me discovering the undead.
I found him. Or at least, an undead creature who looked exactly like him. It was mostly because he looked different from the rest - more like seeking hope than seeking anyone with brains to eat. He also didn't act with group mentality - in fact, he was constantly searching the large graveyard more systematically than the others, which meant he would find me first.
And then his gaze met mine. He stilled for a while, seeming to recognize me. I was torn between running to him and asking him what had happened and running as far as I could, though the werewolves and whatever else that would accost me on the narrow forest road would definitely be the end of me.
Expecting him to run towards me, I braced myself. But instead, he continued searching as if nothing has happened. I noticed his posture was straighter and stride more hopeful after the encounter, however. I remained huddled behind the gravestone the whole night, which was nearest the house - it appeared no undead wanted to come near it.
All the zombies buried themselves back in their graves when the first hint of dawn arrived. The undead Junn did not, instead hiding behind one gravestone so as not to get affected by the light. When at last it was just the two of us above ground, he came over cautiously.
Despite my doubts, I asked him when he came within earshot, “Why are you here?”
“I don't know,” he said. “I expected to die after falling off the cliff, but it appears odd monsters with creepy cloaks and shadowy faces buried me here. I awoke again to suddenly feel immensely hungry for… Cupcakes. And beats me why, I've always hated them in my life.”
“Well, you're in luck. I've got some cupcakes,” I said, smiling, relieved. “Let's walk back to town, shall we?”
And we did, using an umbrella of mine. We lived a peaceful life, had some beautiful pets, and when it was at last the time of my final breath, he hugged me tight in the sunlight. Till death do us part.
The End.

Title: Surviving half of 2026…
Words: 550
(Total) Words: 564
Yeah, I've survived half of 2026 so far… It honestly feels so fast now looking back, but living through it felt so long. Yeah, it's kinda weird like that.
Anyways, on to the reflection on the past 2026… Separated into sections.
How I've changed
I think I've changed a lot from January. I feel more mature and rather more stylish. I've learned to be comfortable in my own skin, made some new friends, and joined a few social media websites and digging more into my favorite korean-pop bands (not stalking, just so you know I didn't turn into an absolute creep). And, y'know, to be cringe is to be free… I also now know Taylor Swift's folklore album is one of the best albums to write/type to - doing so now hehe. I got my ears pierced in June, and really looking forward to wearing different earrings in late September because right now I have to wait for my ears to heal.
Highs
Growing closer to God. Playing Fortnite and winning, joining tumblr, winning a Scratch raffle in 1st place, passing tests in my grandma's school - wasn't sure if I knew enough about math, but passing helped (about 73% score). Joining ArtFight and drawing a record amount of art! Listening to music - especially new releases by my favorite bands! Getting to see funny videos, realizing coincidences/funny stuff.
Eating buffet and shopping for clothes with my parents are also cool.
Lows
Leaving my friends from grandma's school and church after coming back from the month-long trip to . Getting overloaded with information, or sometimes needing quiet and not getting it. Reminiscing about old times but sad. Playing Fornite and losing - but that's natural. When miscommunications get made on Scratch. Some people don't listen, and no one (I won't share who) wants to do things on time sometimes. Also me procrastinating because I forget or get distracted by youtube, and I feel so sad…
Feeling as though I can't do much for anyone., or just catching up on homework…
Accomplishments
Successfully writing a 500+ essay on how to manage/improve world issues, getting 100% score. Joining a Math Olympiad and managing to get 3/15 questions correct (average since it's extremely hard), joining a poem contest. Getting 17+ likes on my first published fan fiction (about a CORTIS member!) on Tumblr. Drew 10 drawings in 15 days for ArtFight.
Miscellaneous
Realizing that friends are going to leave, but that doesn't mean they'll be gone forever. It's natural, but sad. Finding new friends in your new environment is good, as they'll understand you better than previous friends due to similar situations.
I'm going to school in September for th grade. Really excited, but kinda nervous. Am I smart enough? Or will I always lag behind? I'm also recording multiple covers of songs and am hoping to audition for bands/kpop in the near future.
Oh, and I'm going to my first overnight camp by myself next month! Not really sure how that's going to go, but I hope I learn something new and make new friends there!
That's it!
See you again,

Title: Sneaky Cat
Words: 425
(Total) Words: 443
Note: I used the following emojis - (cat, mango, melting face)
I had to keep Telia from eating mangoes. I knew she loved it - and honestly, why should I get to eat all of it when she couldn't? But the vet had said she was allergic to them, and to keep them away from her at all costs. What could I do? I didn't want to make her sick knowledgeably.
But yet, this afternoon, I'd bought a mango out of instinct. It was juicy and fat, so I'd bought it to finally give myself a reward for taking care of Telia, working myself to the bone the past week, and relief from the extreme heat. I sat in the kitchen, peeling and cutting the mangoes in silence, when suddenly Telia hopped up on the table and started giving me her catty eyes - okay, look, I can't say “puppy eyes” since Telia is a cat, so “catty eyes” is more appropriate, isn't it?
“Look, Telia,” I said, glaring my best even though she looked so cute to melt the most serious person when desperate. “You're allergic to this, and I don't want to lose time for work trying to take care of your allergic reactions.”
Telia gave a dramatic yawn, then a meow of protest. She patted my hand as if to ask me to give her some when I was done. When I didn't respond, she extended her claws and tried to make a grab for the mango. I swiftly pulled it away, barely managing to get scratched.
What to do, what to do… I slipped a piece of mango in my mouth… And Telis made another move for the rest of the mangoes. Unfortunately, instead of grabbing onto one piece of it, she slipped and fell, managing to keep herself balancing midair with two front paws. The sudden weight balance tilted the tray despite my tries to hold it still, and all the mangoes came down, as well as Telia.
I immediately carried Telia away from the mess, locked her in her playroom (despite her many attempts to claw out my skin and perhaps also my ears, nose, and eyes), and cleaned up the mangoes. I sighed. Now I couldn't eat any of it, and neither could Telia, which was good, kind of. Thankfully I managed to eat one piece, and the delicious taste still lingered on my tongue, slowly becoming sour and almost vanishing.
Lesson learned: when your cat is allergic to mangoes, don't eat mangoes in front of her/him.
The End.

Title: Rising From the Flames
496 words
The heat consumed the two of us like some undead dream. Cities crumbled around us, fire burned violently passionate. Sometimes you had to wonder if anyone cared about you if you were missing for hours, days, weeks, months, or even years. When everything was blocked out from vision by the fire, I focused on myself…
Examining my arms, I saw angry raw scratches where I had tried to pull both me and mine out of this stairwell. When I couldn't, I'd ran upstairs and out through the door, which was why my clothes were burned to a crisp and terrible burns were everywhere - mostly on my legs. They would scar, but I would be lucky to survive this.
Adrenaline running high, I looked to mine. He was unconscious, but definitely better off than me - only a few scratches and burns could be visible on his arms and legs. Something told me that he would wake up soon, and wished against it. I hugged him as the fire drew still closer on all sides, ever hungry for things to burn. It was too close now, sparks visible as if it was red rain going in the opposite way.
I stretched on top of mine - I would save him if I could - better one d**** than two. I shut my eyes so hard it hurt, not wanting to see how I died. Let it be quick, at least. The heat burned, and then there was a thump on my head, at which I passed out.
I woke up after what seemed like an eternity of quiet darkness, slightly cool - but there were still traes of fire. Was I Heaven or Hell? Another something told me it was neither. Maybe there was something of the middle intensity?
Finally opening my eyes, I focused on an achingly white ceiling - since when did white paint become as florescent as the sun? Then a face interrupted the burning whiteness. “You okay there?”
It was unfamiliar, yet felt like home. With olive skin, dark blue eyes like the ocean in a moonless night, strangely glowing, and soft lips, it was unmistakably male. “Do I know you?” I said. I realized I'd sounded rather rude, then added: “Thanks for saving me. Unless this is one of the afterlives?”
He smiled lopsidedly. He was definitely handsome, and made my stomach flip - once, which was not as much as mine. “Nah. You're very much alive - on Crontia. Your partner is waiting outside as we speak - I believe you Drentians call your partners ”mine“?”
“Yeah,” I said. I started getting up, but my muscles failed and I collapsed.
“You've got a lot of healing to do. You can move, but don't attempt to sit up or stand unless there's something or someone propping you up,” the familiar stranger said, squinching his nose in what seemed to be a look of disapproval. “I'll call - I guess it's yours? - in.”
The End
Part 3 - Weekly #3 - Scratch Writing Camp July 2026
Title: Viewpoints from Himaro and Jennifer
400 words
Character 1: Himaro
Jennifer is getting better. I've been working hard with my natural and supernatural capabilities to heal both her and hers. It's strange, the Drentians' habits, traditions, and ways of speech, but at least we both know similar languages.
Today, I found out hers has a name, Crinantro. I shall think of and call him that from now onwards. He didn't speak much at first, but now he makes his way over to me. “What do you want?” I ask, trying not to seem too rude.
“I… Want to know what you think about us Drentians as a Crontian. Be honest, and… yeah.”
Sure, answer the only question I didn't want to answer right now. I sighed, rubbing my temples, trying to come up with a good answer. He'd told me to be honest, but leaving some parts out wasn't going to hurt him.
“It's just… You're different, yet still familiar.”
Character 2: Jennifer
Having survived was amazing. It was only when you realized that you were so close to death that you thought of how many things you took for granted previously. My burns were healing, and I was adjusting to the climate and customs here.
At first I had gotten culture shock, but it agreed it was much better to call Crinantro Crinantro and not mine - I believed strongly in equality, but no one back home had supported that and so I followed along. Himaro was kinda and good-natured, no matter what people back home would've said about him and other Drentians.
Today, I got the nerve to ask Himaro something. “What do you think we Crontians can improve about our culture? I'm not sure I can do anything about it, but I can change me at least.”
He took a moment to pause, as if considering what to tell me. “Well, I feel like the other Crontians should change the way they prioritize things. They obviously didn't prioritize saving their comrades like you and Crinantro, and who knows who else.”
I smiled grimly. “I wouldn't say we were comrades. We rebelled in small ways, and yet they noticed, and left us to burn. Between you and me, the person who was - and is - the most likely to have burned our city was an overzealous bas**** called Timothi.”
He smiled slightly at that.

The Story
Hi, I'm Giselle. I was walking in a park near my house one day, when suddenly, there was this sucking sound that didn't sound nice at all, and I found myself in some sort of tunnel. i couldn't move at first, but about half an hour later, I could move normally. I looked around.
I seemed to have been transported into some sort of world where everything was nothing. I saw white. I closed my eyes and opened them, but I still saw white again. I kept blinking and rubbing and trying all sorts of techniques to see again, but I couldn't.
Had I turned blind accidentally? There were sounds and I could feel some cooling gusts of air, but nothing to see. Resolving that perhaps I was blind, I closed my eyes and felt my way around - it was the only way to get around without it being disconcerting.
In this fashion, I walked around for at least a day. I was beginning to get tired and starving - what would I eat if I couldn't see it and make sure it wasn't poisonous? Then something touched me. It felt of similar mas area and weight of that like a hand, so I guessed it was, and turned around.
Wait- I could actually SEE this guy, instead of just touching him. He had jet black hair, greying at the ages, and was wearing a navy blue polo shirt and cargo pants. “Who the heck are you?” I asked. “And while you're at it, where the heck is this place?”
“I… I'm Gerard,” the strange man - okay, Gerard now - said, scratching his head. “This place is… I mean, I have no idea what this place is. I've been here for a couple years and can't tell myself.”
Okay, he was SO suspicious. Even more sus than my current - I guess not abandoned, since there's no internet or electric here - Scratch Writing Camp. “Oh yeah?” I said, being argumentative with the only other visible person in this place (as far as I could tell). “Well, how did you survive when you can't see what to eat?”
Now he definitely looked sus… “I, uh, groped around and found something to eat? Nah, that doesn't sound right… Look, I can see this place, which you… I don't think you can, unfortunately.” Gerard replied.
I sighed. “Look, I don't want to start a fight with who appears to be the only other person visible in this place, but could you, like, GIVE me some food? I haven't eaten in at least a day.”
“I was just going to,” Gerard said as he took SOMETHING out of somewhere. “You're going to trust me on this, since you can't see anything. Open your mouth.”
I did as requested - after all, I would depart this body if I didn't eat something soon. I tasted a banana - good. At least I knew what it was, and it wasn't poison. Unless Gerard made poison that tasted like banana? And he put the banana-tasting poison on a banana? I decided not to overthink and pulled out a piece with my mouth.
“mmm,” I said, reaching for the banana, which Gerard slowly directed right into my hand. I grasped it, then ate it as quick as I could.
“SLOWLY!” Gerard shouted. “You haven't eaten for a day, and what makes you think you won't get a stomach ache when you suddenly eat food?”
“okay,” and I did, grumbling. Whoa, this guy was really fatherlike. And not in the bad way, but probably not in a good way either. Greyish- I mused as I finished eating.
“Is there any more food?” I asked.
