- Alternate universes are totally fine! In fact, some of my characters are specifically designed to be easy to slap into just about any story.
- I'd prefer it if you didn't change major character details! Minor tweaks like hairstyle or clothing are fine, and you are also welcome to write them at any age! However, I would prefer if you kept things like gender, overall appearance, and personality intact. If in doubt, feel free to reach out to me on my profile to ask if you can change something
- Other than that go crazy lol — you're welcome to kill them off, write them with other characters, and get them into all kinds of shenanigans ;D

Occupation: In most dimensions, she's either an assassin for hire, a mercenary, a monster hunter, a bodyguard, or being used as a straight-up weapon. A notable exception to this is the dimension in which she has an office job. (Unfortunately, the monsters still find her, and usually destroy the printer while they're at it too. Sigh.) There's also a dimension where she's a working mom, although the work in question may or may not involve being the commander of a rebel army. Mom power, am I right?
Companion: In several of her dimensions, Layla has a pet!! His name is Blue, and no one is quite sure whether he classifies as a wolf, a dog, or something else entirely. Regardless, he is very big and floofy, and has approximately half a braincell (but makes up for it with lots of slobber.) Total glutton and will unashamedly eat anything and everything.
Preferred weapons: Loves her knives like they're her babies. In a pinch, she's also decent at martial arts.
Bio: Layla is the first of my world-hopper characters!! Which is to say, I couldn't decide which version of her story I liked best, so I decided all of them would exist. However, for the sake of your sanity, the information in this sheet mostly refers to her “default” character, which is the version of her I use most often. (And no, it's not the one with an office job.) The Layla in question is a monster hunter who makes a living off of, gasp, hunting monsters and collecting the bounties on them. It's basically fantasy pest control, but the roaches have big scary teeth and fight back.

Appearance
Height: 5'5"
Face: A severe-looking young woman with sharp, angular features. Has short, messily cut brown hair, and green, almond-shaped eyes. Face is narrow and pointed; her nose is thin and sharp. Lips are on the fuller side and usually chapped. Has thick, clearly defined brows.
Body: Her figure is tight and athletic, and she prefers to wear shades of green and brown. Her clothes tend to be minimalistic; a sleeveless shirt (think tank top in style), pants, and boots. The one mark of extravagance is the strange collar around her neck, matching with the bracelets on both wrists. All three are made of gold and set with rubies, and the collar dips into a stylized diamond shape, the tip of which rests just above her clavicle. (And yes, I promise there is plot significance to the accessories she wears; they're not just there for show LOL.) She has several small scars on her arms and the rest of her upper-body; any she might have on her lower body are mostly obscured by her clothing.
Distinguishing Features: She has a noticeable scar running down her right cheek.

Goals: These vary by dimension, but usually fall into the categories of revenge (for her family because I'm very unoriginal *cough*), obtaining independence (usually from those who want to use her as a weapon), or protecting the helpless (in her more hero-adjacent realities).
Greatest fear(s): Losing her autonomy, losing loved ones, losing Blue's last known whereabouts because it means he's getting into all kinds of shenanigans.
Phobias: Small spaces and restraints.
Biggest secret(s): Absolutely hates bugs and creepy-crawlies; can face down big scary monsters but has to stop herself from squealing when faced with a spider.
Social skills: Absolutely nonexistent. Zero charisma.

Residence(s): The Command Laboratory Quarters. It is a large apartment on the fiftieth floor, the highest floor and the most luxurious- because her mother is the head of the Command Laboratory. It is spacious and bright. It is minimalistic and is mainly adorned with monochromatic designs and motifs, as per Loch's wishes.


Ethnicity: As per classic Astraean ethnicity, she is Kaelisin. This means that she has fair, almost translucent skin.

Occupation(s) or specialties: She is currently doing what she loves best- working in secret intelligence as a codebreaker who sends wayward signals to distract the enemy. She essentially operates in trickery. Cordelia's role in the secret agent sector of the Command Laboratory is quite insignificant, but she is constantly rising in the estimation of her colleagues. An interesting thing to note is that she was employed due to the codebreaker group members resigning left and right.


Socioeconomic status: She is one of the most privileged of Astraeans.


Appearance


Defining facial features: She has a strong chin, showing that she can be determined when she wants to be. Her heterochromic eyes (blue and green) are suggestive of her inner slyness and talent at trickery. Her face is pointed, and her hair is a deep shade of red. It is gently wavy and particularly wavy at the ends.


Height, build, body type: She is rather short, 4 feet 10 inches tall. Her build is slight, and her appearance shows that she is weak- but though she is not a weightlifter, she can masterfully use a gun. If required (it will be in the story) she can also use a bow and arrow, though not as well.


Mannerisms and gestures: She has ADHD, which leads to her tapping her foot, drumming her fingers, etc. She also has quick reflexes.


Style: She prefers the clean girl/minimalist look, but uses no makeup except for formal occasions.


Dress: She wears ribbed white half-sleeved tops and black trousers, with a belt and a trademark silver set of earrings.


Other visual features: She has two sets of ear piercings and a star birthmark on her left ankle. She wears trousers to hide the birthmark (which she is ashamed of, as she thinks it shows imperfection)

Strengths and weaknesses: – Cordelia sees inefficiency not just as a problem in its own right but as something that pulls time and energy away from all herr future goals, an elaborate sabotage consisting of irrationality and laziness. She will root out such behavior wherever she goes, causing great unrest in between the protagonists. She is a strategic thinker and examines every angle of a problem.

However, she is notoriously unsupportive of ideas that distract from her primary goals and even more so of ideas based on emotional considerations. She won’t hesitate to make that fact clear to those around her.

Alayna has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She’s usually seen wearing business attire with shirts and blazers and trousers… minus the ties. Alayna does not like ties. She wears this because she doesn’t do fieldwork, but she does carry a stun gun with her at all times, just in case (she has… opinions about causing harm to someone). She does do the occasional field mission, in which case she wears a black combat suit with tools designed for stealth, and her trusty stun gun.

Alayna’s hair is either let down or done up in a pony tail, there’s no real in-between.

Personality
Alayna is somewhat of a pacifist, so how she ended up in an intelligence organisation, no-one really knows. She’s driven to protect others and also hates paperwork and if you hurt one of her friends or threaten something she cares about, Alayna will get very mad. She’s quite analytical, which is why she ended up working on the desk - and she likes it!

Despite this, Alayna does like the occasional adventure and will often carry out covert ops missions - mainly breaking into buildings - when she’s not analysing intelligence and assigning missions.

Relationships
Eirene Chelmsford: Alayna is a bit annoyed at Eirene for forcing Rena to come back into the field after she retired. She also hates the sheer amount of paperwork her role as Deputy Director has brought upon her. Regardless, Alayna and Eirene share a strong working relationship, even if they do argue 90% of the time.

Aspen Winters: Alayna likes Aspen. The two primarily do recon work from rooftops, so they share a good working relationship.

Rena Miyazaki: Alayna’s former partner before Rena retired. The two are close, but not overly close since they don’t see each other much and both have very busy lives.

Emrys Bright: Alayna’s loveable pain in the side. She has a good friendship with Emrys, but she doesn’t like Emrys’s crazy ideas sometimes. They get on well though!

Makayla’s hairstyle changes day to day, but she prefers wearing it down.

Personality
Really driven, Makayla is someone who has a strong sense of justice and believes that no-one is above the law - including politicians. She’s not afraid to stand up for what she thinks is right, and is also a Christian. Makayla truly believes in making the world a better place and fighting for the people of Sunshine Bay as a state prosecutor.

Other
Among her family and the Sunshine Bay Chinese gang, she’s known by her Chinese name, Zhang Zhengci or as Makayla Zhang. She was born Makayla Willow Zhengci Zhang, taking on her father’s surname at birth. However, once she started law school, Makayla changed her surname to her mother’s, so she could be taken more seriously in law school.

Relationships
Rachel Torres: Rachel is Makayla’s close friend and colleague. Rachel and Makayla often work together on cases involved with children involved in or being around people who have committed crimes. While Makayla doesn’t do family law, the two see each other often enough.

Alaina Zhan: Makayla is friends with Alaina through their parents, as they were raised as third culture kids with parents who were first generation immigrants from China and the surrounding regions. Makayla and Alaina share a close relationship, with Alaina looking up to Makayla as she’s the oldest out of the Sunshine Bay Chinese gang.

Alfie Zhan: Alfie is Alaina’s younger sister and Makayla is friends with him through their parents. Makayla also occasionally sees Alfie when she has to head into the hospital to meet a victim (Alfie is an emergency department nurse) and the two share a close relationship.

Adelaide Waters: Makayla isn’t as familiar with Adelaide as she is with Alfie, and she knows Adelaide since she is Alfie’s fiancée. They’ve known each other for a short amount of time and are friendly and cordial to each other. Makayla also sees Adelaide when she comes into the hospital as she’s also an emergency department nurse.

Elyta Skye Zhang: Elyta is a figure skater who Makayla knows through their parents. Elyta and Makayla share a close relationship, and the two like to catch up every now and again since Makayla’s offices are on Elyta’s daily commute to the ice rink.

Lauren Han: Lauren is the daughter of June Han, who owns the restaurant that the Sunshine Bay Chinese Gang frequents. Despite their age gap, Lauren and Makayla are close and they know each other through their parents.

Appearance
Elanna has brown hair and green eyes, and light skin. Her hair is straight and falls just past her shoulders, and she is usually seen wearing her scrubs and rarely wears a white doctor’s coat.

Personality
Elanna is the no-nonsense straight-to-the-point head of Aspen Glenn Memorial’s emergency department. Elanna is prone to having some very strong opinions, and also very strongly believes in the Hippocratic Oath and good patient care. She’ll do her best to stand up for her patients and for her staff, and does not tolerate blackmailing and abuse within her emergency department. She’s known to be a bit on the fiercer side.

Despite all this, Elanna isn’t known for being particularly patient. While she cares for the rest of the department and does her best to make sure everyone is safe, she does struggle with waiting for transfers and struggles hard with difficult patients. Elanna is also known to be a very strongly opinionated person in the department, holding some incredibly strong convictions about patient care and meddling superheroes, among others.

Relationships
Amber Roberts: Elanna and Amber have a close relationship, despite their age gap. They’ve worked multiple mass casualty incidents together managing the emergency department and work effectively as a team. Elanna tends to be more forceful compared to Amber’s soft-spoken nature, but the two are still quite close.

Rena Miyazaki: It’s a relationship of respect, and they’re also close to each other. Elanna has thanked Rena for dealing with the more unruly patients, as well as saving the emergency department several times from superpowered people looking for revenge. Elanna views Rena as a reflection of herself and she can see lots of herself in Rena. Elanna acts as Rena’s professional mentor in the medical field.

Emrys Bright: Elanna’s relationship with Emrys is one of tolerance and respect. Elanna respects Emrys for being Rena’s backup, but she doesn’t consider Emrys a close friend or anything. Elanna also only knows Emrys by her alias, Agent Becker, and not by her given name.

Aspen Winters: Elanna’s relationship with Aspen is similar to her relationship with Emrys - they’re professional, and they respect each other. Elanna knows Aspen by her alias, Agent Payton, rather than her given name.

Anything goes! Of course, nothing that goes against Scratch TOS. I'd say I'm also not a huge fan of gender-swap type of things, but if you really want to it's fine. Definitely don't change any of my character's orientation, ethnicity, etc.

Backstory:

Luxa lived with his mother and sister, Lynx, who was 2 years older than him. His father was a soldier in war, so he didn’t see his father much. However, Luxa was still able to form a bond with his father through letters and occasional visits. He lived happily with his family until he was 12.

His father had died in war. As the casket lowered, so did his mother’s heart. Suddenly, her words turned to venom, spewing insults as naturally as breathing. It started as only verbal, but shifted into something physical. Lynx attempted to reason with the woman, but gave up once it became apparent it was no use.

Instead, Lynx had to work odd jobs to make ends meet, as their mother began spending recklessly and stopped working. Lynx tried her best to shield her brother from the horrible words and beatings of their mother.

Luxa became numb to it all when he was 15–the only thing that kept him going was his sister, as he knew she would be devastated if he was gone.

One day, he had sustained a particularly bad attack from their mother, to which Lynx tended the wounds of. Late at night, Lynx snuck into his room and handed him a pouch with some earning she received from working tirelessly.

“Go.” She whispered, pushing the bundle to her brother’s chest, “and never turn back.”

Emotions brewed in Luxa—but he nodded and ran away. While it pained him to leave her—he knew it would pain her more for him to stay.

He didn’t know how far he ran—but once exhaustion bored in his bones, he spent a night at an inn. He kept running, farther and farther away from his home, until he only had enough money to buy fruit from the market.

Refusing to spend a night on the streets, he sold the necklace his mother gave him for his 10th birthday—he didn’t regret it at all.

He started doing odd jobs for money like his sister had—jumping from inn to inn to escape his past. When he was 16, he cleaned the home of a rich man. When dusting off books in a library, his interest was piqued by a book detailing the country. With curiosity winning out, he slipped the old leather book into his backpack and took it with him.

He read the book and gained more insight on the country. Additionally, details of a precious treasure not too far from the inn he was staying at. With him hardly getting by, he decided it was worth a shot.

The treasure was in an old house rumored to be haunted by a phantom. Luxa willed himself to enter the home. With what could only be called luck—he got out with his life and jewelry that was owned by the missus of the house.

He sold the woman’s bracelet to a sage, who was astonished by the boy’s possession. Quickly, word spread throughout the man’s colleagues. ‘I met this boy just outside the local inn, he has the jewelry of the duchess of the house…’ Quickly, he earned himself a comfortable fortune.

WIth his newfound fortune, he began making the trek back to his old home. After all, surely he’d be able to provide for his sister as well now, and she wouldn’t have to worry about money anymore. But when he made it back, the house was empty. Realizing he may never see his sister again—he despaired.

He no longer had the will to work anymore. After all, the only thing that kept him going previously was his sister. Instead, he began wandering the world as a merchant until he sold every last one of his possessions. No matter how difficult things got, he refused to sell a pair of earrings his sister gave him. By another stroke of luck, he happened to have a collection of valuable gems on him, which he was able to earn a large sum from once again.

Eventually, his name spread. “Have you heard of that merchant? He sold the duchess’s jewelry, and gems that men spend their lives trying to find…”

With a sizable reputation, he continued going on adventures to find dazzling treasures and artifacts no other man dared to find. Running on adrenaline, he figured he may as well or die trying. He spent his days in libraries reading books over and over again. For knowledge—of course. For if he knew the world, he would know where to find treasures, and not only that, but be able to survive to tell the story.

One day, a friend, named Ayta, from when he was a child came to him. Apparently, he had made such a large name for himself, even Ayta caught wind of him. His friend laughed at the coincidence, apparently not having known the so-called merchant he had heard of ended up being his childhood friend. Luxa didn’t know what to say. But suddenly, an idea came to him.

If his name became known across the world, as a merchant with unique trades no one else would ever have—surely his sister would hear of him eventually. And maybe then, she’d come to him with the promise of his deals in the same way his friend had. Then he could finally see her once again.

With a sudden drive, Luxa waxed through book after book in library after library, still using the initial book he had stolen from the rich man’s library as a guide. He gained a vast expanse of knowledge from the several books he read in search of treasure, attempting to make each of his trades more special than the last.

He made a name for himself as a merchant—but he continued to push himself. To find rarer and rarer objects, never stopping for a break. He waited, patiently for his sister to eventually hear of his name. To come to visit this merchant rumored to have anything in the whole wide world in promise of his trades, and when she does—to find out it’s him. Only then they can reunite.

If the whole world knows his name, then his sister will too. If he became a legendary merchant, his sister’s interest would be piqued, she’d come to him. And once she realizes the legendary merchant is her brother—they can finally see each other once again.

But until then, Luxa will continue to travel the world. He’ll continue to find every treasure from the ends of earth until his deals become so irresistible that his sister will come to him.

Lynx - His sister, older than him by 2 years. They both care deeply for each other, and Lynx stayed by his side during dark nights when they were still together. Luxa misses her deeply and would be willing to do anything to see her again. He refuses to sell a pair of earrings Lynx gave him no matter how difficult things are going, because they serve as a reminder for why he’s doing this—and what he needs to get back. Often has dreams from his childhood regarding Lynx, and he tries to remember everything he can about his sister..

Mother - Holds deep scorn and hatred for his mother. After running away, he refused to continue holding on to his mother, and a contempt for her floods his person. Wants to remove any part of her from his past, which is why he sold the necklace his mother gave him without regrets. His mother liked when his hair was down normally, so Luxa often braids it or ties it up.

Father - Misses his father deeply, but has grown apathetic to him now.

Ayta - Luxa’s childhood friend. He hardly keeps in contact with him much, but Ayta occasionally purchases from him and waxes on their childhood. Ayta doesn’t know about Luxa’s motives, but is almost certain it is due to Lynx—despite that, he knows better than to pry.

- Doesn’t give out his name to buyers due to his immense lack of trust in people. Instead, he allows people to talk about him in the form of monikers. His name spreads on the streets and people rumor about his trades, but only in the form of nicknames the people make for him.

- Proficient in close-range weapons, but is actually very weak physically.

- The only reason he is proficient in weapons is because someone once tried to steal the earrings his sister gave him. He got attacked in general due to having valuable items, so he decided to become proficient in weapons to defend himself with despite his lack of strength.

- Really hates not doing anything—interprets it as him wasting time, thinking that the time he spent doing nothing he could’ve spent finding treasure, could’ve spent finding his sister—He hates staying in one place for too long, or sleeping for too long, causing him to overwork himself.

- He picked up drawing specifically so he could draw Lynx and would never forget her face.
