~ ( Introduction )
Welcome to the SDC logo challenge! Loosely inspired by the Daily Logo Challenge, we’ll be creating various logos throughout the week. Alright, I’d hate to keep you waiting for any longer, so let’s get into it!
——
Part : ( 1 ) ~ ( 4 logos )
For this first part of the weekly, head on over to this project, which will include a list of prompts for four separate logos respectively. Refer to the project for what you’ll be using on your logos!
:: Logo 1 - Color and Value
Set a random number picker to pick between numbers 1 and 12. This will determine the base color of the logo. Then, roll a dice, or use the number picker again (this time between 1 and 6). This will determine the shade of color you will be using. Of course, you are allowed to use multiple shades in your design, but try your best to keep the main elements within the spectrum of color and shade randomness has assigned ^^
:: Logo 2 - Restaurants
Set your trusty random picker to pick between numbers 1 and 5. This will determine the type of restaurant you are making a logo for- your only restrictions are the vibes you’d want to give off for your selected restaurant type!
:: Logo 3 - Letters or Words
Set a random number picker between 1 and 2 (if you’re getting bored of just random numbers, you can also flip a coin- but Yume for one would most definitely drop the coin, so do it at your own risk <3). This will tell you whether to use a word or letter as the base of your design! Once again, you have the freedom of design and can add any other text as you wish, this is simply the starting point and main element of your logo.
:: Logo 4 - Conveying Feelings
Set your random picker between 1 and 6 (i suppose you could roll a dice again, if you’re fancy :0). Hopefully you know the drill by now- just refer to the slide and design a logo that corresponds with the vibe/feeling stated behind the chosen number!
——
Part : ( 2 ) ~ ( Poster )
Alright, it’s time to put our randomizers to rest (finally!!) and continue on with the next part of our weekly. For this next section, you’ll be picking either one of your previous logos! The only requirement is that your logo was created for a company or event of sorts that you can advertise, as you’ll be making a poster to promote it! Keep the design somewhat cohesive with the original logo, and make sure to include your logo in the final poster as well. Other than that, do whatever your design mind desires- just make it attractive!
——
Part : ( 3 ) ~ ( Merchandise )
Of course, every good company and event has merchandise, whether it’s within our budgets or completely outside <3. For the last part of this weekly, design a few products that can go with your previously set setting and logo. This can include mugs, t-shirts, pencils, or anything else that makes sense for the company/event! Simply plastering the logo across everything and calling it a day is not allowed >:0 Add a little twist and variation to each product so there’s something for everyone. Create at least four different merchandise items to move on to the next section!
——
Part : ( 4 ) ~ ( Merchandise Briefs )
Now that you have your items, write a short, 50-100 word description of why you chose the item and how you incorporated the original logos and designs, as well as how you changed them up to fit the specific product! Be sure to have separate descriptions for each of your items. You should have at least 200 words from this section, if you’re doing the minimum four!
——
~ ( Conclusion )
And congratulations, you’ve completed the weekly! Give yourself a pat on the back and take a well-deserved break. Additionally, make sure you’ve completed all parts of the weekly before submitting your creations to the Main Cabin!
Part 1 :: four logos created based off random prompts from this project
Part 2 :: a poster based off one of the previously designed logos
Part 3 :: at least four different merchandise items for your company/event
Part 4 :: descriptions for each of your merch items, 50-100 words for each
This weekly is due February 14th, at midnight UTC, and is worth 2200 pixels! Please submit your completed weeklies before then- If you are in need of an extension, contact Yume on her profile with your reasoning as well as how much extra time you’ll need. That’s it for now- once againl, great job on making it this far! See you in the next weekly <3

1 :: Welcome to camp, everybody! We hope you’re just as excited as we are for the start of camp, but first- introductions! Introduce yourself in the Main Cabin, and include your nickname, preferred pronouns, and timezone if you’re comfortable. Share a few facts about yourself if you’d like!
2 :: Happy first official SDC daily day! For today, we’ll be creating mood boards! To get started, pick a color, any color. Then, pick another- experiment with different color combinations to find your favorite. Using those two colors, you’ll create a mood board following any theme that comes to mind. Share your mood board in the Main Cabin to earn 200 pixels for your cabin!
3 :: First, post a comment (or as many as you'd like ^^) on the Main Cabin with a color, an object, and an adjective (eg. blue, pencil, adventurous). These can be as silly as you'd like- be creative! Then, look through your fellow campers' responses and choose one. Then, you'll create a logo for a company manufacturing the stated object using the color and adjective given. This daily is worth 165 pixels!
4 :: Today we'll be taking our names into account as well- Yes the nicknames we all go by! Take each letter, and jot down the first thing that comes to mind starting with that letter (eg. let's say my letter is D, and I think of dolphins). If your nickname is under three characters, pick two items for each letter! Using those elements, design a banner with your name on it for 160 pixels.
5 :: Log on to your favourite design platform and set a timer for one minute. Use that minute to dig for graphics and images, and insert whatever you find speaks to you- do this fast, no second-guessing! Once you've checked that you have at least 20 elements on your canvas, try creating WITHOUT deleting anything (you're still allowed to add text from here on)! This daily is worth 200 pixels, plus an extra 50 for using over 30 graphics.
6 :: Put your go-to playlist on shuffle, and see what song comes up! Without referencing the original album cover, create a new cover for the song. Try to capture the feel and emotion of the song, and make sure your album cover is in square dimensions! Completing this daily can earn 180 pixels for your cabin.
7 :: Have you ever looked back at an old project of yours, and instantly start critiquing the thumbnail? (…I know I have.) For today's daily, recreate the thumbnail for an old project of yours (or simply one that didn't have a thumbnail to start, if you can't find an old one to work with) to earn 210 pixels for your cabin!
8) / 9 :: I'm sure we all have our favourite colors- So for the first day of this bi-daily, pick your absolute favourite color (Make sure to save the hexcode! It'll come in handy later). Using that color, fill half a page with a mood board or collage with said color as a background. Feel free to add any decorative elements and text, if that's to your liking! Come back tomorrow to finish up the bidaily and submit your creation for points ^^
8 / (9) :: Welcome to the second day of this bi-daily! Yesterday, we created half a mood board/collage with your favourite color. (Don't worry if you missed it- just check the Activity Records linked below to catch up!) To finish off the other half, simply use an online tool or a drawing software to find the complimentary (opposite) color of the color you have chosen. Just like last time, set this new color as your background for the second half and finish off the collage. This bidaily is worth 450 pixels!
10 :: It’s Design Dare Day! Post a comment in the Main Cabin asking for design dares and complete them! These can include timed challenges, oddly specific prompts, and more. Your imagination’s the limit! This daily isn’t worth any pixels, but we assure you it’ll be tons of fun either way. <3
11 :: We all know SDC stands for Scratch Design Camp, but what other meanings can you come up with? Silly Dancing Cats, Slightly Dry Cactus… the possibilities are endless! For today’s daily, you’ll be awarded 220 points for designing something based off another meaning of the abbreviation ‘SDC’. Feel free to drop some ideas in the comments if you have a few to spare!
12 :: Come up with a design prompt for yourself, or find a random one online. Using that prompt, create a design within 1 minute. Then, create another design with the same prompt, without referencing the previous, but within 5 minutes. Lastly, reusing the prompt one last time, create a design within 15 minutes. This daily is worth 240 points!
13 :: Plaster the back of a laptop (a virtual one, of course, no irl laptops will be harmed in the partake of this daily <3) with any stickers of your wishing. Add at least 15 different stickers to your dream laptop sticker collage to earn 130 points for your cabin!
14 :: the mbcc daily that yume forgot to track whoops :,DD
(15) / 16 :: Welcome to the second bi-daily of this session! We’ll be making movie posters this weekend ^^ To start off, find at least five pre-existing posters that you feel inspired by, and create a small collage (around 5 images) for each of those posters, but try not to use images from the actual movie. Make sure to include the actual poster in the collage as well!
15 / (16) :: Welcome to the second day of our second bi-daily! Take out your movie collages from yesterday (Don't worry if you missed it- just check the Activity Records linked below to catch up!), and pick two of the five that speak to you the most. Using those two collages, combine both concepts to create a poster for your very own movie! This bidaily is worth 480 points!
18 :: Put down a book title of your creation, an author name (you can make one up, whether it’s for yourself or an OC, or use a real-life author!) and its respective genre in the Main Cabin comments, and claim someone else’s title. Create a book cover and share it to earn 270 pixels for your cabin!!
25 :: Use at least 20 different elements to decorate your very own SDC wreath! Simply insert a text box with the three letters (or use the costume hidden inside the project linked below) and add your graphics over it, making sure to cover every part of the letter visible. Let your creativity guide you- there’s no requirement to make your wreath out of plants, anything works! This daily is worth 250 pixels.

1 :: August has begun, a month initially dedicated to the emperor of Rome, Augustus, but to us, merely the first month of potato harvesting and self-planting! Campers, welcome to the seventh session of Scratch Designing Camp, brought to us in the hottest month of the year. Today is the day we plant ourselves in the campgrounds to take root and grow into a full potato by the end of the month. Head into the comments and introduce yourselves with your nickname, pronouns, and timezone (if you're a hot potato ;D). Include some trivia about yourself to make your roots set deeper!
2 :: Welcome to the second daily (and first one for pixels :0) of this session! Using a color of your choosing, create a monochromatic (same color, different shades) mood board with at least 10 different images for 200 pixels!
3 :: Bringing back a favorite from last session, the SDC acronym daily! SDC is the abbreviation of Scratch Design Camp, but what other meanings can you come up with? Summer’s Delicious Cookies, Sufficiently Decisive Cooperation, Sleep Deprived Conversations… Come up with a meaning of your own and use it as a design prompt. Completing this daily can award you with 210 pixels for your cabin!
4 :: Welcome, designers, to the first-ever Design Duels of SDC (or, as Blau would prefer to call them, “Duels of The Fateful Designs”)! Head on over to link for more details on how duels work, as well as participating for yourself. Best of luck, warriors!
5 :: And would you look at that, the daily… has turned into potatoes. For the time being, however, the Memory Book Cover Contest has just opened up! Simply head on over to this project for further details on how to enter: (link here) We’ll be back tomorrow with a daily for pixels- Happy designing!
6 :: Post any three words in the Main Cabin, and then claim two sets to use as design prompts! Be sure to incorporate all six words into your design, and submit your final creation to take home 240 pixels for your cabin!
7 :: Many consider 7 to be a lucky number- whether or not you believe in number superstitions (or luck in general ; )), head on over to this project: (link here) for a list of random words and prompts, as well as further instructions on how you’ll be determining yours for today’s daily. Using all of your assigned prompts, create a design and submit it in the Main Cabin to take home 350 pixels for your cabin! May the odds be ever in your favor <33
—
8 :: In celebration of International Cat Day, today's daily will involve creating any design you'd like featuring cats! A poster for a cat cafe, a banner with cat motifs, perhaps an infographic on various domestic or wild cats, or even designing a new product for cats. Submit your design in the Meown Cabinyan for an absolutely tasty 240 pixels = ^ - ^ =!
9 :: Welcome to Day 1 of our first bidaily this session! For today, we’ll begin by brainstorming. First, create a board with 12 different color swatches. Then, make a list of, you guessed it, 12 design prompts that you can do based off of your current color palette. Make sure to number both lists from 1-12 respectively, and keep them somewhere safe so you can access them again tomorrow (your design folder is a great option). Have fun!
10 :: We hope you’ve had a good night’s rest ^^ Take out your lists from yesterday, and recall your sleep schedule- how many hours you’ve slept is how many of the 12 colors you need to use, and the hour of which you woke up would be the prompt number you have to follow (For instance, if you slept for 9 hours and woke up at 7 a.m., you’d be choosing 9 colors out of the 12 you had gathered, and using the prompt which is listed at #7 on your list). Create a design using these elements in Scratch project resolution (960 x 720 px is a common size) for 450 pixels!
11 :: I’m sure most of us have done a keyboard spam- no worries if not, for you’ve probably at least seen one (they usually look something like this: JHKADASHKJA) For today’s activity, we’ll be making use of these much chaotic keyboard spams to create something truly one of a kind. Head on over to link to get started- let the keyspam chaos begin ; ) This daily is worth 330 pixels!
12 :: Come up with the tracklist and title of your dream mini album, consisting of anywhere from 4-6 songs from all different artists, and create an album cover for it! Your cover should be in square dimensions and include your album title. Optionally, you can add your tracklist beside your finished cover to serve as a promotional image. If you’d like, maybe also use your song selection and cover to make a playlist for your collection :0? Share your album and the songs you picked in the Main Cabin for 360 pixels!
13 :: Procrastination potatoes? Those won’t stand a chance, as today is Design Dare Day! Post a comment in the Main Cabin asking for dares- These can be anything you’d like, whether it be oddly specific prompts, timed challenges, or drawing inspiration from unlikely sources. This daily isn’t worth any pixels, but we do encourage being as silly as you wish : D
14 :: Think up one product you like/use often in your daily life, and comment what it is in the Main Cabin. Then, choose someone else’s product and design an advertisement in the form of a social media post to promote your selected product. This daily is worth 280 pixels!
—
15 :: Find an online color wheel and set the color combination to ‘triadic’. Then, experiment with color combinations until you’ve found a triad you like. Using this set of three colors, design a logo for a brand of your creation. Completing this daily entitles a delicious 360 pixels to add to your cabin total!
16 :: Are you hungry yet? Well, not to fear, as today’s daily revolves around none other than… food! Take your favorite food, and create an advertisement to sell your food item. Make it eye-catching, and be sure to add descriptors to really get people hooked! Once you’re done, feel free to promote your advertisement in the Main Cabin, and don’t forget to go ahead and claim 320 pixels while you’re at it.
17 :: Today, we invite you to take a visit to our dear hosts’ profiles (you can find them at the bottom of this description!) and pick one line as inspiration for a mood board or collage containing at least 10 images! Share your creation in the Main Cabin along with your selected quote and you’ll be awarded with 340 pixels (plus a delicious Summer cookie or brownie ^^) for your hard work <3
18 :: The rain is pouring incessantly outside the library window, pattering against the sidewalk and forming puddles in the bleary afternoon. You see a gentle-faced girl hurry through the shower and into the library foyer, no umbrella or hood to keep the invasive droplets out. Ah, Summer! Why don't you make our beloved host's day with a beautiful banner and some kind words? The motifs of the design should be some of these: #bcd4f5, flowers, rain, books, and light academia. This daily is worth 360 pixels, but each ounce of thought is worth so much more to our birthday girl. Let's spread some warmth!
19 :: Today is World Photography Day! First, take a photo. This can be anything from outdoor scenery to something as simple as a mug on your table, try to stylize your setting and test out a few options- take the best shot! Once you've got your photos, pick the one (but feel free to use more than one, if you'd like) that speaks to you the most and use it as the base of your design. Submit your creation to earn 380 pixels for your cabin!
20 :: Pick one to two lines you like from a song of your choice, and make yourself a desktop wallpaper with those lyrics! Add any images and graphics to suit your taste, but just enough that it won't be too distracting in case you do end up using it! Create three separate wallpapers with lyrics from three different songs and share them in the Main Cabin for a total of 240 pixels!
21 :: Dating all the way back to the August 2021 session of SDC, we're bringing back the Generator Daily! Head on over to the project linked below to generate a set of different design elements and parameters. Make sure to screenshot your generations to submit with your finished designs! And we'll do this… hmm. Oh, of course! Four times, since it's been four years since the first generator daily! This daily is worth 420 pixels.
—
22 :: The daily today focuses on symmetry! Create a design that involves symmetry and submit it to the Main Cabin to earn 220 pixels for your cabin!
Additionally, here's your friendly reminder that submissions for the Memory Book Cover Contest (linked below) close by the end of today (a 24 hour extension can be granted for any pressing reasons). Submitting any amount of entries can earn you an extra 60 pixels for your cabin, so don't forget to claim your pixels if you haven't done so yet!
23~24 :: Choose a type of weather, such as rain (;D) or snow, and make a collage (using graphics instead of pictures) based off of it! Submit your collage to the Main Cabin for 250 pixels!
25~26 :: Welcome to our second bi-daily this session, SDC’s first-ever Design Swap! Head on over to the project linked below for further details and how to participate!
Additionally, voting for the Memory Book Cover Contest has just opened up! Head on over to link and cast your votes for the front and back covers of this session's Memory Book. These close when camp ends and will only take a minute or two, so it'd probably be best to do so earlier since today's bi-daily part is relatively light <3
27 :: Welcome to Day 2 of the Design Swap! Those who have put in a design request yesterday should each have been assigned another camper's order. And now, based on your recipient's request, it's your time to create a design for them! Once you've completed the order, submit it in the Main Cabin to collect 360 points for your cabin. Have fun, and don't forget to also send your design to the person who requested it!
28 :: Void. Null. Nothing. In the visual world, it'd be represented by the hex code #000000, the purest form of black and the image exuding mystery and all things dark. Today marks, I daresay, one of the most important dailies: the revolt against Yume epitome of sunless freedom. Listen to a song or read a story related to or about the color black, and create the first design that comes to mind for 280 pixels. It can be a logo, an album cover, aesthetic set- anything so long as you use #000000 as the main color. Bonus: Contact @28thDimension and @QueenQuasi with your creation! They'd love to see it.
—
29 :: Did you know that “HIGH PRESSURE WASHING MACHINE” contains exactly 29 characters, including spaces? (We didn't either… not until coming across it while brainstorming the daily list, that is!) For today's daily, design your very own high pressure washing machine. Label the various parts of your washing machine, and include any features, as otherworldly or as wacky as you'd like. What will you create? Share your (high pressure) design in the Main Cabin to claim 290 pixels (and a laundry basket)!
30 :: As we're nearing the end of camp, I'm sure we’ve all created some designs we're proud of, and some that we're… still on the fence over deciding whether we like or not. For 240 pixels, take any daily prompt you've previously done (the Daily List is attached in the “Links” section for your reference), and redo it. Maybe you had another idea you didn't end up using, or you just couldn't get a good set of prompts from either of the “random” dailies? The choice is yours, so have fun with it!

——
Introduction
Hello, designers, and welcome aboard the first weekly of the session! Throughout this upcoming week, you’ll be creating your very own sticker pack to promote a message of your choice. I’m sure we’re all eager to start designing, so let’s not stall for any longer and get into it!
——
Part 1 - Theme and Message
For this first part of our weekly, we’ll begin by brainstorming any possible ideas for a theme you’d like your sticker pack to revolve around. You want your stickers to promote a message, whether that’d be related to climate change, peace, or anything else you come up with. It could be as serious or as silly as you prefer (yes, you are allowed to make a sticker pack promoting the nutritious value of potatoes), but please ensure that it fits within the Scratch Community Guidelines and won’t be offensive to anyone on or off the site. Come up with a list of 4-5 ideas, then choose one you’d like to continue with!
Part 2 - Brainstorming
Now that you’ve gotten your theme, it’s time to start coming up with any ideas you may have for the stickers themselves! Whether that be solely graphic or text-based, or some with a mix of both, include a variety of options! You’re free to take inspiration from external sources, but please don’t copy off an existing design exactly. Create simple pencil or digital drafts, or combine reference elements, to draft up at least 10 different sticker ideas that correspond to your chosen theme. Once you’ve done that, you can come back here and head on in to the next part!
Part 3 - Sticker Design
It’s time to actually design our stickers! How you go with this part of the process is entirely up to what you have access to as well as what you’re comfortable with, so pick whichever option sounds better for you. You can either use your usual digital design software (common choices are Canva or Pixrl), draw your own stickers, or even use the Scratch vector editor to create vector stickers (most vinyl sticker designs are created on vector!). The only requirement is that they are done digitally. To finish this part of the weekly, create a finalized set of at least six different stickers, based off your concept sketches from Part 2.
Part 4 - Packing It Up
Now that you have your stickers on hand, the only thing left to do before they can go out and spread your message to the world is… packaging! Design a package for your stickers, whether that be a sticker sheet header design with your stickers below it, or for those who would prefer their stickers to be sticker flakes, the little bag with a cutout window (If you choose this option, please design the back of the package as well!). Once again, whatever you pick is your choice entirely, so have fun with it!
Part 5 - Sticker Pack Summary
We’re almost there! You’ve created your very own set of stickers, packaged them, and now it’s time to sell them out. To finish off this weekly, write in around 50-100 words a short brief of your design concept, the message you’re trying to convey, and how you believe your stickers have achieved that goal.
——
Conclusion
And that’s it! Congratulations, you’ve just designed your very own sticker pack. (If you have a printer at home, or have access to one via your local library, feel free to print out your sticker designs and perhaps put them to use that way as well, we’d love to see your creations!) Before you head on to the Main Cabin and collect your pixels, make sure you’ve completed all the required parts of the weekly.
Part 1 - a list of 4-5 theme ideas for your sticker pack, as well as having chosen one to be your final theme
Part 2 - concept sketches of at least 10 sticker ideas, done either on paper or digitally
Part 3 - a set of at least 6 final stickers created in digital form
Part 4 - packaging in the form of your choosing for your sticker pack/sheet
Part 5 - a 50-100 word brief describing your sticker pack’s theme and overall message
This weekly is due August 9th, at midnight UTC, and is worth 1500 pixels! Please submit your completed weeklies before then. If you are in need of an extension and have a pressing reason, extension requests are available and can be found on this project. And that’s it for now, we’ll see you again next week! <3

Scratch Design Camp ✰ Activities + Records
——
Introduction
Welcome back, designers! If you were here last session, you might remember the SDC Logo Challenge weekly we had. Aha, you guessed it! This session, we're bringing it back, bigger and better than ever before.
This weekly starts on August 10th at 00:00 UTC–we’d like to ask that you please do not begin working on the below activities until the above mentioned time, just to keep things fair for everyone. Now, grab onto your seat and be prepared to whip up a bunch of logos–we're in for quite the wild ride!
——
Part 1 - Odd Numbered
For this first set of logos, look no further than your handy companion–that's right, we're talking about the random number generator we all know and love. To get ourselves started, generate three numbers: one between the range of 1-10, the next between 11-20, and the last between 21-40 (You didn't think we'd only go by increments of 10 up to 30, did you?). Once you've gotten your numbers, head on over to this project and take a look at the first slide. Match your number with its corresponding element or design parameter and incorporate them into a logo of your creation. Repeat the process until you have completed three logos using this method. Best of luck–you'll find out soon enough that you might just need it ;).
—
Part 2 - Even More Numbered
A die has six sides. Ah, what a pleasant coincidence it is indeed, for SDC has had six past sessions (And if you're convinced I'm lying about what seems to be the work of impossible chance purely for the sake of an activity, just check the Records Forum). Go ahead, find yourself a die, any die–physical or virtual is entirely up to you, and roll it! The second slide of the same project from before contains a list of each session and its theme. Your task is to create camp logos for two of these sessions–these should include either the words “Scratch Design Camp” or the acronym “SDC”, along with session (e.g. “August 2021”), and designed around each session's listed theme. If you're feeling stuck, feel free to refer to the Records Forum for links to past Main Cabins and projects to use as inspiration. You'll be ready to move on to the next section once you've made logos for two sessions (i.e. rolled the dice twice, or perhaps even more if you rolled a certain number more than once), as well as one extra for any other session of your choice in which the odds may not have favored, totalling three logos from this section. Have fun!
—
Part 3 - Promoting Potatoes
Now that we’ve taken a trip back to previous sessions, it’s time to come back to the wonderful time of the present and create something for the occasion! This session’s theme is Becoming Potatoes - whether that be the song, or quite literally the action of becoming potatoes. Making use of the potato motif, create a logo that advertises anything about this deliciously starchy vegetable, whether it’s an event, a farm, or anything else - just as long as it’s potato-related in some way or another! Once you have your logo, write a short advertisement between 150-200 words to accompany your logo design and further promote our beloved potatoes. We’re almost there, keep going! <3
—
Part 4 - Phrase Set
Welcome to the last part of this weekly! To finish off the (Extreme) SDC Logo Challenge, pick a sentence or phrase that goes anywhere from 12 to 24 words (of course, you’re more than welcome to do more, but that’d be a lot of work so just remember to not stress yourself out too much <3) and create individual logos for each word. You must use up every last word of your chosen sentence! A grid template (with just enough squares to fill the minimum 12 logos ^^) can be found on the last slide of the project, although you are free to create your own as well.
——
Conclusion
Congratulations, designers! You’ve done it - you’ve completed the SDC Logo Challenge, extreme edition! Give yourself a pat on the back and get some well-deserved rest - you’ve earnt it <3 Before you go and turn in what is probably a huge pile of logos, here’s a checklist to make sure you’ve gotten everything you need done:
Part 1 - 3 logos created using randomly selected design parameters with reference to this project
Part 2 - 3 SDC logos based off the theme of two sessions at random and one of your choice respectively
Part 3 - A logo to promote potatoes in any context alongside a 250-200 word advertisement to go with it
Part 4 - A set of one-word logos that form a phrase that is at least 12 words in length
If you have successfully completed all of the above, you’re all set to go! Submit your completed challenge to the SDC Main Cabin to claim a delicious 2000 pixels for your cabin. This weekly is due August 16th at 11:59 p.m. UTC, so be sure to get it in by then ^^ If you are in need of an extension due to any unforeseen circumstances, you can submit a request on this project. And that’s it for this weekly, come back next week for yet another set of design challenges!

Hello designers! Welcome to the start of another session <3 A new school year is starting in Scratch Design College, and that calls for new dorm captains :00 If you’re looking to lead a cabin dorm this session, you’re in the right place! But before anything else, please make sure you’ve read through the FAQ in the project’s description entirely before continuing on with the slides.
┈┈
Here’s a recap of our host team this session!
Encryn @28thDimension - comms
Summer @freeIy - sorting
Yume @yumetopia - activities
We’ve assigned individual roles to each host this session so that although we all still work together on most of the camp itself, specific parts are dedicated to each of us so you know who to look to / ask when you have any questions or concerns <3
With that being said, if you would like to participate in this upcoming session but would prefer to not lead a cabin, campers signups will be shared on November 1st on Summer @freeiy’s profile - go leave a comment on Encryn @28thDimension’s profile to be pinged for their release!
┈┈
And this is probably where Yume realises that she has stalled enough ;w;” So! Without further ado, here are this session’s application questions :0 As usual, we’re looking for personality, honesty, and quality in your theme and answers, so give it your all! <33
❀ : ┈┈ ‧₊˚ ♡ ₊˚‧ ┈┈ : ❀
1. Tell us about yourself!
Include your nickname, preferred pronouns, and timezone (if you’re comfortable sharing)! What makes you unique as a dorm captain? Write down a few interests you have and share a few fun facts about yourself, if you’re daring :0
2. Previous Leadership
Do you have any past experience leading in Scratch camps, the platform in general, or offline activities? What kind of leadership was it? Did you have to work with other people, and how did it go?
3. Dorm Preferences
Which cabins dorms are you looking to lead? (Please check the FAQ for a list of possible dorms!) Please specify any ideas you have for naming your dorm and your plans for theming and storyline, if any ^^
4. Why You?
Why should we pick you as a dorm captain/vice-captain? What traits do you have as a leader that will be beneficial to the team?
5. Time Dedication
How much time are you willing to dedicate to SDC per day during the planning months (Oct-Nov) and during camp (Dec)? Do you know of any plans you’ll have in the next few months that will affect your activity levels?
6. Time Management
What are your strengths and weaknesses in time management? How do you usually keep yourself on top of any assigned tasks?
7. Checkboxes
♡ I am applying for co-leader only.
♡ If I get selected as leader captain, I am currently planning on having no cos vice-captains.
♡ I am willing to share a promotional project for SDC.
♡ I will notify the hosts council as soon as possible if I need to be inactive for an extended period of time.
❀ : ┈┈ ‧₊˚ ♡ ₊˚‧ ┈┈ : ❀
And that’s it for this session’s questions! :0 If you are looking to apply, simply remix and share this project with your answers! Feel free to be as creative as you’d like with themes - we’d love to see your personality shine through <3
Leader Captain Applications are due on October 20th 2025, at 23:59 (11:59 p.m.) UTC! Extensions can be granted by case for emergency reasons (please read the FAQ for more info on how to request one). Remember that we aren’t a writing camp (xD) and there’s no need to type out essays for each question, so over two weeks should be more than enough to finish your app!
I believe we’ve covered everything then-! Best of luck to all of those applying (which you totally should btw ^^), we can’t wait to see what you create <33

Scratch Design Camp ✰ Activities + Records
❀ : ┈┈ ‧₊˚ ♡ ₊˚‧ ┈┈ : ❀
Week 1
1 :: The bells start to ring across the school grounds signalling the official start of the eight session of Scratch Design College! Welcome everyone! :D Feel free to introduce yourself to your fellow campers (or should I say students?) with your nickname, pronouns and timezone (if you are comfortable sharing it <3) and possibly some trivia about yourself! We're looking forward to see what you create this session!
2 :: Continuing with our tradition of second-day-of-camp moodboards, today’s daily will require you to create a mood board based off your username! Whether that be taking from the direct meaning, using it as an acronym to represent different elements or colors, or something else, is entirely up to you. Make sure it contains a minimum of 10 images! This daily can earn you and your cabin 200 pixels. Have fun!
3 :: Welcome back, warriors! It's that time of the session again~ That's right, today is none other than the grand opening of this month's Design Duels! Head on over to https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1224391629 for more information on duels and how to participate. These'll stay open for the remainder of the session, so you're free to revisit the arena at any time. Happy duelling!
4 :: Happy World Pear Day! Taking place during the first week of December each year, this festival aims to celebrate the peak pear season throughout the month, as well as promote the many varieties of the fruit all around the world. To join in the celebrations, create a design incorporating pears! Completing this daily will award you with 240 pixels, as well as a few pears to take with you! :D
5 :: Head on over to any color palette generator (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/201702128/ has a great one!) and generate random palettes until you’ve found one that you like! Using your chosen palette, create a banner for yourself in Scratch project dimensions (960 x 720, or something of equal ratio) to claim 300 pixels for your cabin! Don’t forget to take a screenshot of your palette to submit alongside your creation <3
6 :: Today’s daily is- Wait, what? You’re saying it’s been STOLEN-? … While we attempt to track down our daily thief and get our activities back, this session’s Memory Book Cover Contest has just been opened up for submissions, and the link has been attached below for those of you who may be interested. As a bonus, you can go ahead and claim 60 pixels for entering, no matter the amount of entries. This offer is valid until the original deadline! …OKAY NOW WHO TOOK OUR DAILIES. >:0
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1252184921/
┈┈
Week 2
7 :: It seems our daily thief left a note where our documents were…
“Greetings, SDCollege… I hear you would like your dailies back, yes? …Well, well, well. If you can prove to me that you all truly love this school and its activities, perhaps they shall be returned by the next stroke of midnight… Create a design, any design, inspired by your three beloved hostesses, and ensure they are posted in the Main Cabin within the next twenty-four hours. Signed, N”
This daily is worth 210 pixels! Hurry- we need all the help we can get to get our activities back!!
8 :: This session marks the second time SDC’s been hosted in December. For today’s daily, why don’t we pay some tribute to the December 2021 session and its theme? Create a design incorporating the four seasons- This could be a mood board sectioned into four quadrants, a poster for a Four Seasons Cafe… your creativity’s the limit. Submit your completed design in the Main Cabin for 224 pixels!
9 :: As I’m sure you’re all familiar with by now, SDC stands for Scratch Design Camp… but it doesn’t end there! From completely sensible phrases such as Standard Deviation Chart and Solid Dioxide Compounds (that’s a thing, right?), to others like Suns Downplaying Crescents, Snuggling Debunker Cats, and Steadily Depleting Charisma. Come up with an acronym of your own and post it in the Main Cabin comments! Then, claim someone else’s comment and create a design based on it for 270 pixels.
10 :: To honour the celebration of International Human/Animal Rights Day, we invite you to design badges for the occasion. Create at least four different badge designs surrounding either or both events. Once you have your badge designs, pin them (digitally, of course,) on to a tote bag or clothing item of your choice (extra cookies for designing your own graphic for it!). Showcase your item in the Main Cabin comments to earn 300 pixels for your cabin!
11 :: Design your very own bag of candy! Create the packaging for your sweet assortment, and showcase the types of candies (at least 3) included on the package or on a separate slide if you wish. Make sure to include descriptions of the different varieties! This daily is worth 220 pixels if shared in the Main Cabin alongside a short advertisement to really sell your treat.
12 :: (stolen :,D)
13 :: Welcome to Day 1 of this bidaily! To start us off, post a few of the struggles you might face during your day-to-day life here in the Main Cabin comments. Then, look through other campers' posts and choose two of them (your chosen prompts have to be from different people and cannot be the same in content as well!) to solve using a product of your design. Write 150 words of a blurb describing how your product works and how it can solve the two problems you have chosen! Come back tomorrow to finish off the second bi-daily and submit it for pixels, we can't wait to see what brilliant products you come up with!
┈┈
Week 3
14 :: Welcome to Day 2 of this bidaily! Yesterday, we wrote short blurbs on a product that solves two different problems (psst - it's not too late to catch up if you weren't here for yesterday's part! Simply scroll down to the links section of the description to access a list of all past dailies <3). Now, it's time to design your product! However you go by this is completely up to you - you can draw your invention either traditionally or digitally, or maybe even build a small model of it, if you're feeling fancy :0 Submit a picture of your creation along with the blurb (make sure it meets the 150 word minimum!) in the Main Cabin to claim 280 pixels for your cabin!
15 :: Happy International Tea Day! Tea has many benefits, such as being able to warm you when you're cold, and helping you find your dailies if they have been stolen. For today's daily, create a design that incorporates tea in some way, such as by making a poster advertising the benefits of tea, designing packaging for a tea bag, or anything else you can think of! Submit your design to the Main Cabin to earn 150 pixels for your cabin (alongside some fresh tea :D)!
16 :: Design a logo for a tech company of your own creation! Your design should be pretty minimal, similar to the ones you usually see on the backs of your favorite device brands, but must be comprised of at least three individual elements. This daily is worth 160 pixels!
17 :: We’ve all probably created more than a few designs with our favorite colors, but what about our least favorite colors? Come up with an album of your very own and design a cover for it, using your least favorite color as the main hue of your design. Submit your creation in the Main Cabin for 170 pixels!
18 :: For today's daily, incorporate your favorite animal into a poster! This could be a poster to raise awareness for wildlife conservation, an advertisement for an animal shelter, or simply a poster designed in honour of your pet - it's up to you! Submit your finished posters in the comments of the Main Cabin for a reward of 180 pixels.
Additionally, here's your friendly reminder that submissions for the Memory Book Cover Contest (linked below) close by the end of today (a 24 hour extension can be granted for any pressing reasons). Submitting any amount of entries can earn you an extra 60 pixels for your cabin, so don't forget to claim your pixels if you haven't done so yet!
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1252184921/
19 :: (stolen :,D)
20 :: Pick one of your original characters, or if you don't have one, an existing character you like, and create an aesthetic board based on them! Your board should contain at least x images for it to count, and you can claim xxx pixels for submitting your creation!
Wait, don't leave (yet)! Voting has now been opened for the Memory Book Cover Contest, which you'll find linked below. Every opinion counts and voting only takes a few minutes, we'd really appreciate it if you could contribute to making SDC just the Slightest bit more Decisive <3
(link)
┈┈
Week 4
21 :: There is no daily for today! …Wait, again?! No worries, it wasn't stolen- it just appears the SDCouncil was too lazy to come up with an actual daily for today… Instead, choose a daily you've already completed earlier this session, whether or not you finished it on time or submitted it for points (scroll in the Main Cabin for a list or visit the Daily List linked in the description) and redo it with a new idea! This daily is worth 210 pixels.
22 :: Yesterday was the Winter Solstice, which was the longest night of the year. So for today's daily, create a design that incorporates space in some way. Submit your design to the Main Cabin to earn 220 pixels!
23 :: (stolen :,D)
24 :: Choose a time of day (such as morning or dusk) and create a moodboard inspired by it! Make sure that it includes a minimum of 10 images and submit your design to the Main Cabin to earn XXX pixels!
25 :: Come up with a list of 7 (which comes from 2 + 5, for reference ^^,) words that start with the same letter and create a design with those elements. (for example, you pick letter “p”, and your words are potato, plant, pond, plate, pancake, peach, and panther. you combine them into a panther eating peach potato pancakes on a plate by a plant at the pond… whatever that ends up looking like! xD) Post your design in the Main Cabin alongside your list of words to claim xxx pixels for you and your cabin!
26 :: Today's daily focuses on our favourite characters. Choose your favourite character from any piece of media and create a design inspired by that character to earn 260 pixels for your cabin!
27 :: Today we’ll be making our own themed notebooks! Simply search up a picture of a notebook that’s to your liking, and plaster the cover with any stickers and decorations you'd like! Keep in mind that your notebook should adhere to a specific theme of your choice, and contain at least 9 different add-on elements! You can earn 270 pixels for sharing your creation in the Main Cabin.
┈┈
Week 5
28 :: (stolen :,D i think it's time to boot encryn off the host team this is too risky….. /hj /lh)
29 :: We hope you’re ready for some chaos, as today is Design Dare Day! Comment in the Main Cabin (if you’re daring) and have others reply to you with various design dares. A few examples include timed challenges, a single word, the occasional oddly specific prompt, and just about anything else you come up with! Completing this daily won’t earn you any pixels, but what we can guarantee is a whole lot of fun ;DDD
30 :: (stolen :,D i'm kidding we should boot me instead i'm supposed to be in charge of activities </3)
31 :: (stolen :,D but happy end of session and last day of 2025 <33)

Scratch Design Camp ✰ Activities + Records
——
Introduction
Have you ever wondered what it’d be like to plan and host an event of your own creation? Or perhaps you already have — good for you! As a kick-off to start this session on a high note, let us delve into the realms of event planning.
This weekly begins on December 4th, at 00:00 UTC. You are free to look through this post beforehand as you please, though we’d like to ask that you do not begin working on the below activities until the above mentioned time, just to keep things fair for everyone. And with all formalities settled… Buckle up! We’re in for the ride of a lifetime.
——
Part 1 - Brainstorming
But of course, all great ideas start as simple, perhaps seemingly random thoughts from the drawing board. Do some research, if that tickles your fancy, and brainstorm as many ideas as you can within a set amount of time (The SDCouncil recommends setting a timer no more than fifteen minutes, for the sake of preserving precious time for later use, although you are still free to take as long as you wish). Jot down anything that comes to mind — these can be as long or as short as possible, and the more variety, the better! No need to have them all be refined and polished for now.
——
Part 2 - Event Concept
Done already? Perfect. Now, take a look through the list you have and select one or more ideas, combining them to create one final concept for your event. This could be anything at all — live performance, movie screening, homecoming party… It’s all up to you! Come up with a brief description of your event idea (Make sure to be specific!) in no less than 50 words, and you’ll be all set to move on.
——
Part 3 - Poster
Now that you have your event idea, it’s time to put it into action! Design an eye-catching poster to promote your event. Think about who your target audience would be and adjust your design choices to fit what would appeal to them, and make sure your poster fits the overall theme and vibe of your event! For example, if my event is a gardening workshop, lots of flowers and greenery would help attract people who might like plants! And be sure to include big titles and details of your event (date, location, etc) …just so no one gets lost on the way ^^;;
——
Part 4 - Tickets
Now that you have your poster, it's time to design some tickets for your attendees! Although many events nowadays have switched to using online tickets, getting to keep a pretty ticket as a keepsake for any concert, festival, or other event you go to is always a great feeling :0 For this part of the weekly, design a ticket for those attending your event! What kind of information do you want them to know before coming? Do you want a space to place stamps on for when they enter? Maybe you want a small section they can tear off to redeem a discount on duck feed for your farm? Make it unique to your event! Happy designing <33
——
Part 5 - Written Advertisement
Let’s see. We have a poster, we have tickets for admission… But of course, the best form of advertisement is, still, almost always the one delivered straight to your designated audience. Tonight, we invite you to share all about your wonderful event, right here in front of all your fellow campmates. Sounds intimidating enough? Oh, don’t you worry — of course you’d be allowed to prepare a script. To finish off this weekly, write 200 words worth of an advertisement speech to promote your event to potential attendees. Best of luck, organizer!
——
Conclusion
Congratulations!! You’ve successfully planned and created graphics of the event of your dreams <33 (or maybe you’ll make it real someday? :00) Before submitting your weekly, please make sure you have all of the following completed:
Part 1 - A list of any ideas, concepts, or points you came up with from brainstorming
Part 2 - A brief description of your event idea in at least 50 words
Part 3 - A poster to advertise your event
Part 4 - A design for the event tickets
Part 5 - A written advertisement in no less than 200 words to promote the event
If you have all of it done, great job! Go ahead and submit all the completed parts with full proof to earn 1124 pixels for your cabin. Give yourselves a pat on the back, you deserve it after all this hard work! See you next week <33

꒷꒦ ⌒⌒ ˗ˏˋ ☂︎ ˎˊ˗ ⌒⌒ ꒦꒷
Week 1
1 : Welcome, voyagers, to Scratch Design Camp’s eighth session! Whether you’re a weathered (;D) SDC-er or one in the making, we hope you’re as excited as we are to see just what will come out of this rainy season. But as always, it wouldn’t hurt to get to know your fellow campmates a little more, no? Drop a short self-introduction in the Main Cabin comments and reply to a few others. Oh, and make sure to give your fingers and body a good stretch! I get the feeling this April will be quite the wild ride… ;)
2 : Second day of camp always calls for one thing… moodboards! Moodboards are common in early stages of many different types of design to gather inspiration. For the first batch of pixels in the session, create a moodboard with at least 9 images that represent parts of your personality, hobbies, and anything else that you think shows who you are. Share these in the Main Cabin to claim 200 pixels for your cabin! If you have extra time, do go look through the rest of your campmates' moodboards to get to know them a bit better <3
3 : Another session, another round… Welcome to the grand opening of this session’s Duel of the Fateful Designs (also commonly known as Design Duels)! Head on over to the project linked below – careful, those puddles on the road there are quite slippery, to familiarize yourself with the rules and start or join a duel for yourself. Best of luck, Design Duellers! May the odds be ever with you ;).
4 : Happy International Carrot Day! In honour of this delicious celebration, create a design today that promotes carrots, resembles a carrot, or is simply overwhelmingly carrot orange - this can be anything from a carrot appreciation poster to a bedframe with carrot motifs! Share your carroty creations in the Main Cabin for 200 pixels and a free basket of carrots to take with you <3 And remember… eat your veggies >:000
┈┈
Week 2
5 : Where… where is this place? “Scratch Design Camp”…? I thought I signed up for Slightly Decieving Counselling, but… I suppose this will do just as well. Alas, reality is only ever what we imagine it to be, which is why for today’s daily, your task will be to come up with alternate meanings for the acronym “SDC”, and post them as comments in the Significantly Dominant Cabin. Then, pick one of your lovely campmates’ Surprising Decentralized Concepts and create a design based off of the phrase to claim a Sensationally Delicious Compensation of 250 pixels for your cabin. Surprise us, Delightful Campers~
6 : Flowers and other botanics can carry lots of meaning with them (although you probably know this already if you've been in SWC before, ahaha). For today's daily, choose one or a few flowers and plants and create a design that makes use of its symbolism. Share your creation in the Main Cabin comments to claim 240 pixels for your cabin!
7 : Returning today is none other than the SDC Design Swap, but with a twist– What? You want me to tell you what it is? Of course not, that’d only serve to ruin the already-not-too-surprising surprise… And we wouldn’t want that, would we? Head on over to this project:
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1299928654/
to read the details for yourself. Go on, go take a look! You aren’t getting any pixels by staying, you’ve got nothing to lose.
8 : Post a comment in the Main Cabin detailing a color, an object, and a feeling. Repeat this enough times until you’re satisfied, then look through the rest of your campmates’ responses and pick one, any one that speaks to you most! Using this set of words, design anything you wish that incorporates all three elements and submit it to claim 200 pixels for your cabin!
9 : “eat eat eat”, as the host who wrote this daily has for some reason been saying a lot recently… but can you blame her? Food is the solution to (almost) all problems ^^ For today's daily, think back on the last food you ate - it's alright if you don't remember the most recent one, any food you've eaten recently works! Then, design (physically or digitally is up to you) a tool by drawing or scrapbooking that makes eating or preparing said food easier to claim 270 pixels for your cabin!
10 : You push to the front of the crowd, anxiously peering at the noticeboard before you. The papers pinned to the cork were completely drenched, pages partly torn and dripping with water. Oh, this cursed rain. You can't make out even a singular word on what would usually be the daily sheet…
Frustrated, the group slowly scatters, opening up their umbrellas to cover them on the walk back to the cabins. You quickly follow, but pause upon glimpsing a small string of words inked onto the inside flap of your umbrella that definitely wasn't there a moment ago. Your curious mind gets the better of you as your eyes scan the letters. “Memory Book Cover Contest”, it read. Could it be..?
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/528439909/
11 : For today (and tomorrow)'s activity, we'll be learning to be decisive. …it sounds daunting, but we'll go through it bit by bit! Today's part of the task is pretty straightforward - all you'll need to do is decide on a few aspects of your design. Fill out this form
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1305692294/
by either remixing the project or backpacking it into your design folder, and we'll be back tomorrow for the next part of the bi-daily <3
┈┈
Week 3
12 : Now that you have your forms that you very decisively filled out, it's time to use it and create your design based off what you chose. There's only one rule to this, which is that you are NOT allowed to change anything on your form!! Part of designing is committing to a concept and still making something you can be proud of within the limitations. Submit your finished design in the Main Cabin to claim 480 pixels for your cabin - congrats on becoming decisive! <33
If you missed yesterday's part of the bi-daily, no worries! You can find part one in the Daily List linked a little below, just complete and submit it along with today's.
13 : “Haha, gotcha~ There is no daily for today– in honor of 52’s third pair of factors, of course! A little bird told me he had taken it to… Ah, yes! To buy you a little time so that you can finish up your Design Swap entries. No need to thank me, you’re very welcome. Until next time, SDC-ers~!”
Some say submitting the Design Swap will earn you 390 pixels to take home to your cabin… You can only hope this “little bird” hasn't taken those as well. Surely… You can't possibly steal pixels off a screen, right…?
14 : Aha! Ahahaha! Yes, yes, say it with me! AHAHAHAHA!
Welcome, designers! Are YOU ready for the party of a lifetime~? Well, you better be prepared, as today is none other than International Moment of Laughter Day!, also known as Worship Aha Day… No? Alright, alright- I always cater to my audience. No Aha it is! Aha is now banned from not only the Tavern but our Main Cabin as well. There, easy as that. But all (NON-)jokes aside!! Design a poster, a banner, a mask ;), or absolutely anything else you can think up… The only criteria is that its intention shall be to elicit joy and laughter, aha~ Worry not about the guilt of your humorous intentions– let your imagination roam free! Toss in your creations once complete and we will reward you with 280 pixels and a beverage of choice~
DISCLAIMER: Scratch Design Camp and affiliated factions are not responsible for individuals who infringe on others’ well-being for the sake of personal amusement unless directly given permission by the ones featured. It is important to consider the Scratch Community Guidelines and Terms of Service, and adhere to said protocols at all times. If you are in need of a break from all the elation, please do not hesitate to pay Encryn a visit and she will have you cleansed of any worries in no time~ Wait, don’t take me away–! Spare this poor girl for a day, would you…~?
15 : Do you like chairs? You're probably sitting on a chair right now (well, I'd hope so… unless your unconsciousness is like Encryn's and makes you get out of your chair after a minute or so :pensive:), do you like your chair? No matter what your answer is, this bi-daily asks you very nicely to design a chair catering to all of your needs! For today, write a detailed description of your custom chair's appearance and function in at least 200 words. Come back tomorrow for the second part of the bi-daily! (…and get back on your chair if you aren't on it, please take moments like these to take care of yourself… :,D /lh)
16 : We hope you enjoyed creating your chairs yesterday :0 For the second part of this bi-daily, you have options! Choose one or both to do and you'll gain pixels accordingly <3
Option A (+260 px): Visually create a 2D or 3D model of your chair! This can be in any medium you'd like, digital or physical - of course, there's no need to make it true to size xD
Option B (+220 px): Write a transcript for a spoken or written advertisement to market your chair to people just like you who would be in need of such a chair! This should be at least 200 words for it to count.
If you complete both parts, you can claim an extra 80 pixels, making this bi-daily worth 560 pixels at maximum. Submit your finished products to the Main Cabin to claim your well-deserved pixels <3
If you missed yesterday's part of the bi-daily, no worries! You can find part one in the Daily List linked a little below, just complete and submit it along with today's.
17 : For today's daily, put your playlist on shuffle and create a moodboard inspired by the first song that comes up while trying not to use any images from the song's album cover or music video(s) themselves. Your moodboard should consist of at least 9 images for it to count! Submit your completed board to the Main Cabin to claim 170 pixels for your cabin.
18 : I believe it’s quite fair to assume we’ve made banners, profile pictures, and likely quite a few other graphics based off our usernames… But is any of it really useful besides for– well, looking pretty? (But of course, ✨ aesthetics ✨ are always a must~) Today’s task! Design an everyday object based off your username. Whether useful or impractical, realistic or perhaps out-of-this-dimension, is completely and entirely up to you. Show off your invention in the Main Cabin for all of the world to see… Yes, yes, and you get to claim 390 pixels while you’re at it, of course ;).
┈┈
Week 4
19 : It's time for another bi-daily :0 This time, we'll be working on a simple character design! For today, you'll begin by brainstorming basic personality details! What species is your character? What are some of their core personality traits? What do they do for a living? What is their opinion on room temperature water? Remember these are only questions to get you started, you can feel free to jot down whatever you feel you need for your character ^^ Come back tomorrow for the second part of this bi-daily to develop your character's visual traits as well!
20 : Now that you have your character's personality and morals down, it's time to tranlate that into visuals :0 Different colo(u)rs (weekly #1 has tons of helpful resources for this!), shapes, textures, motifs, and other details can largely impact the feeling a character gives. Choose one of the below options to finish off your bi-daily! Both options are worth 380 pixels and you may only claim pixels for one.
Option C (380 px): Write a detailed description of your character's appearance, clothing, and other notable physical traits in at least 200 words.
Option D (380 px): Create a fullbody visual of your character using either digital or physical mediums.
If you missed yesterday's part of the bi-daily, no worries! You can find part one in the Daily List linked a little below, just complete and submit it along with today's.
21 : It's time for a little throwback <3 July 2021’s SDC had “sky” as a session theme, so for today’s daily, design something incorporating the sky to claim 210 pixels for your cabin!
22 : Step right up, for it’s but ordinary… The one, the only… Generator Daily! As designers, I’m sure we’re all quite familiar with the topic of indecision… But fear not! After all, decisiveness is but a lie, and every “choice” we make was predetermined by fate from the start… Oh, my apologies– Got carried away for a bit there, haha~ Nonetheless! Pick the first number from 1-22 that calls out to you, head on over to the project listed below, and push that little green flag that many times. (And before you ask why… It’s necessary for the randomness to work. Chose one? Perfect.)
https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1197585238/
Further instructions can be found in the description of the project… Submit your finished design to claim 220 pixels for your cabin!
23 : Guess what~ The activities team has decided to spare you all for a day and give the camp exactly twenty-four hours of daily-less time to do whatever you’d like! Work on the weekly (or start it now, if you haven’t already…), just take a little break if you’re the type to enjoy unproductivity, or take the day to do whatever your heart desires! It’s all up to you… But wait! Campwide voting for the Memory Book Cover Contest are open from now until a little after the session. If you can’t decide on what to use your rest day on, why not take a few minutes to drop in your votes before you likely eventually forget?
24 : In honor of the one and only 24-member sensation SocialSonyoSeoul, we invite you to partake in today’s activity of… drumroll please… ✨ Socialization ✨ !! Oh, yes, I’m being downright serious about this one. I dare you– Go out there, talk to someone, and ask them for a random word. Provide no context… unless you otherwise prefer, of course, but I promise you the first would be quite a bit more entertaining ;). Design a banner, a piece of furniture, a clothing item… anything at all that comes to mind using that singular word qualifies! Send in your design before the 24 hours are up to claim 240 pixels and a very special SDCard that… Well! You’ll see what it does… Eventually. ✨✨✨ ;D
25 : Designing can be tiring- and especially for your eyes if you're doing it online. Since we’re nearing the end of the session, please take today off and take a screen break for at least 30 minutes. There are no pixels for completing this, but the rest is well deserved <3
┈┈
Week 5
26 : We hope you’ve been enjoying this rain/weather-themed session so far :0 Today’s activity will be to create any type of design you like based on your favourite weather! Submit your design in the Main Cabin and tell us what weather it is- it'll be added to a poll of SDC’s favourite weather ^^ This daily is worth 260 pixels!
27 : Happy Morse Code day! For today's daily, incorporate a word or phrase written in morse code (like .-. .- .. -. meaning rain to match this session's theme, perhaps?) into a design and submit it to the Main Cabin to earn 270 pixels for your cabin!
28 : Feeling daring~? (Haha, I as well!) Well, look no further as today is none other than SDC’s esteemed Design Dare Day! Drop a comment in the Main Cabin asking for dares, and your lovely campmates will reply to you with short design challenges that take no more than a few minutes to complete. Shocking, I know. You do not get pixels for completing dares, quite unforunately… But it’s the thrill of the moment that matters, no~?
29 : It's almost the last day of camp… For the last pixel daily of the session, let's put aside competition for a day and forgive your friendly neutral hostile enemies before we depart. Design a card to the opposing cabin- use their colours and motifs if you’d like, you can design it however you see fit ^^ Add your message onto it and post it in their cabin studio! They’ll sure appreciate the kindness <3 Once you've sent it, submit your finished card in the Main Cabin to claim 290 pixels for your cabin! And be sure to come back tomorrow for the closing <3
30 : Oh, how time flies… We’ve once again reached the end of yet another session. They say “April showers bring May flowers”, so we invite you to take this final day off reflect on your design journey throughout the month. What was the design you made in the past thirty days that you’re most proud of ? Were there any activities that stood out to you? Leave any final comments and suggestions in the Main Cabin! We’d be more than happy to read them. Additionally, why not take a bit of time to thank your wonderful leaders for taking care of you? Some new acquaintances you’ve met that supported you the whole way through, and perhaps a campmate you’ve never talked to but simply admire their designs? Write or design them a thank-you card! Let us end this session on a high note, shall we? ;) <3

Introduction
Have you ever felt calm when wearing a blue shirt? Does seeing a fast food brand immediately make you hungry for some reason? Hi designers! Welcome to the first weekly of this session <3 This week we’ll be going over colour theory and how it affects the mood of our designs. This is very commonly found in graphic design, but exists in many other forms of design and media as well. Without further ado, let’s get started ^^
This weekly starts on April 4th, 2026, at 03:00 UTC. Please do not start working on it before this time to keep things fair for everyone! Thank you so much <3
——
Part 1 - Hue
Different colours can make us feel different emotions - and it’s completely natural! We naturally associate colours to common objects or surroundings around us, with big examples being red for danger due to its intensity and often representation of fire (and makes you feel hungry(?!)), while blue is associated with the sky and oceans, both known for its calming properties and therefore giving the colour blue a similar feeling as well. For your task, look through this project for a brief overview of different colours and their respective meanings, then choose two different colours and create two designs to showcase each colour individually. These do not have to be monochromatic (only lighter and darker variations of one colour), but do keep your chosen colours the main colour in each of your designs!
——
Part 2 - Saturation and Lightness
Besides the hue (base colour without mixing any black, white, or grey) of the colour itself, saturation and lightness also play a big role in shaping the overall mood of your design. More vibrant or saturated colours feel high energy and exciting, while dull or muted colours that often look “greyish” can create a more solemn feeling. Pastel shades, which have a lot of white mixed into them, feel pure and gentle, while darker, sometimes called jewel tones or regal colors give a sense of high regard and elegance. To complete this part of the weekly, create two designs, each showcasing a different level of saturation and/or lightness.
——
Part 3 - Colour Scheme
Combining different colours can also give many different effects! Continue on with the project from Part 1 and see some common combinations of colours. Choose one of the colour schemes mentioned and create a design using it! Once you’re done, you'll be ready to move on to the last part of this weekly. You’re so close, keep going!
——
Part 4 - Design Statement
Now that you’ve taken some time to explore different colours, combinations of colour, and their meanings, the final part of this weekly will be none other than… explaining it all! A design statement is where designers explain their thought process, why they chose to use what they did, and the feelings they hope to convey in their work. Your task will be to write at least 50 words for each design describing your design choices, adding up to at least 250 words total. And that's it for this weekly! You did it :00
——
Conclusion
Before submitting your weekly, make sure that you have all the requirements completed!
Part 1 - two designs each using one colour as the main focus
Part 2 - two designs each showcasing a different level of saturation and/or lightness
Part 3 - one design based off a colour scheme from this project
Part 4 - 250 words total of a design statement (50 words per piece) describing your design process.
If you’ve confirmed you have all parts completed, submit your weekly with full proof to the Main Cabin before April 11th, 2026, 02:59 UTC to claim 1500 pixels for your cabin! Extension Requests are available if you are in need of more time. We hope you had a very colourful week <33

Greetings, designers! Welcome to our first extended bi-daily of this session~ Yes, yes, you heard that right– “extended bi-daily”. As always, I'm sure you're curious as to what today's activity entails… Well, all you’ll need to do is keep reading to find out ;).
꒷꒦ ﹋﹋﹋ ˗ˏˋ ☂︎ ˎˊ˗ ﹋﹋﹋ ꒦꒷
Our last Design Swap took place as a bi-daily during August of last year, where all participants could fill in a form for a design, get assigned someone else’s, and design for them whilst receiving one as well. This session, we’re bringing back the activity… with a slightly longer timeframe of just under a week.
To enter the Design Swap, simply fill out the request form below before 23:59 UTC on April 11th, 2026 (but preferably as soon as possible):
1. Design type + size (thumbnail, profile picture, forum signature, character design etc, anything goes!)
2. Theme + colors you'd like your design to be
3. Any other specific elements / remarks you'd like to give to the designer in charge of your design?
꒷꒦ ﹋﹋﹋ ˗ˏˋ ☂︎ ˎˊ˗ ﹋﹋﹋ ꒦꒷
Posted your form? Perfect. Now, all you’ll have to do is wait for a comment on your profile with your recipient and their request, and you’ll have until April 13th, 23:59 UTC to complete and deliver your design. Have fun~
Each batch of assignments will be sent at the next midnight UTC from when you post your comment given there are two or more pending requests that day.
꒷꒦ ﹋﹋﹋ ˗ˏˋ ☂︎ ˎˊ˗ ﹋﹋﹋ ꒦꒷
And of course! If you do not manage to get your form in by the above stated deadline, please do not hesitate to still post one as there may be more campers that have not put in a request. Not guaranteed, but– To my fellow speedrunners… If you do end up submitting a form hours before the deadline with no other forms, I humbly offer my services ;).

Introduction
Greetings, designers! Welcome to our second weekly of this session~ I hope you came prepared to get some designing done this week. We’ve tackled indecision, sure, but I’m sure we’re all quite well aware of our procrastination habits no matter the size. This week’s tasks revolve around forcing– ahem, coaxing oneself to finish up any goals and design tasks set by yourself, for yourself. And without further ado! Let’s get started, shall we?
This weekly commences on April 15th, at exactly 04:00 UTC. Attempts to start work on any of the below activities before this time will not be terminated, but shall be greatly looked down upon for the sake of the Scratch Camps Honor System™. We appreciate your contributions in creating a fair environment for you and your campmates~
——
Part 1 - Setting Goals
Any goal starts with the desire to reach it, then the promise to fulfill it. What do you want to accomplish throughout this weekly? Is there a design project you have that was perhaps abandoned halfway due to a lack of motivation? Well, no time like the present to pick it right back up again! To start off our weekly, set three goals for yourself. These can be anything you want, just as long as they’re short-term goals that can be completed within a timespan of a week or (preferably) less — a homework assignment due on the same day as the weekly, a character you’ve neglected for the past few months, the new profile picture you were going to make yourself but never started on… Just make sure they’re detailed specifically and have at least one of them be design-related, since we still are Scratch Design Camp ^^.
——
Part 2 - Bound by Time
Got your list of goals? Perfect! Now, toss it aside and forget about it for the next twenty minutes or so (Nice try, but you can’t speedrun this weekly part ;))… and try not to lose it, of course. Your task is simple — all you’ll need to do for this part is to choose a type of design you’d like to do, a basic theme, and set a timer for ten minutes. You have exactly ten minutes and no more than that to complete your design before repeating this process two more times, once with five minutes and once more finally cutting it down to one… And before you ask– Yes, you do need to show proof of your three designs from this part. Come on, it can’t be that bad~
——
Part 3 - Be Productive!!
Now that you’ve had some practice with time-bound activities, it’s time to put these new skills to good use! Dig out your list of goals from Part 1 and assign a set amount of time to each one you deem reasonable and enough to finish it. Then, choose one of your tasks and “lock in” completing it until the timer ends, ignoring any distractions as best as you can. Your task is to eventually complete all three of them - you got this!!
——
Part 4 - Reflect, Relax, Repeat
You can choose to do this part once you’ve finished each of your goals or wait until you’ve done them all, but this last part is pretty simple - all you’ll need to do is write at least 100 words for each task describing how you felt while doing the task for the set amount of time. Did you feel any different from when you usually worked? Were there any temptations that you had to resist and were you able to? Write down anything that comes to mind, whether it’s your thoughts in the moment or what you’ve learnt.
——
Conclusion
Congratulations! You’ve just learned to be productive - SDC’s very proud of you <33 Before you submit this weekly, please just take a moment to make sure you’ve completed all the necessary parts!
Part 1 - A list of three goals (at least one must be design-related)
Part 2 - Three designs created within 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and 1 minute respectively
Part 3 - Your three goals from Part 1 completed (or made good progress on?) within a time limit you set for yourself
Part 4 - 100 words describing your feelings and lessons learnt from each session of productivity, for a total of 300 words
If you’ve confirmed you have all parts completed, submit your weekly with full proof to the Main Cabin before April 21st, 2026, 03:59 UTC to claim 2000 pixels for your cabin! Congrats again on becoming productive ^^

Introduction
Hi designers, welcome to the final weekly for this session! This week, we’ll be diving a little bit into one of our cabin genres this month- interior design! Throughout this weekly, you’ll be designing your own dream room complete with custom layouts and furniture. Without further ado, let’s get started <3
This weekly starts on April 25th, 2026, at 00:00 UTC. Please do not start working on it before this time to keep things fair for everyone! Thank you so much!
——
Part 1 - Brainstorming
Every big idea starts with some brainstorming, so to start this weekly off, brainstorm a list of at least 10 ideas for the basic purpose or feeling of your dream room.
Do you want a bedroom with a built-in bedside kitchen, or a living room with cloud-shaped couches? Choose whatever you know you’ll enjoy working on for the rest of the week- and most preferably ones you’d love to live in for yourself.
——
Part 2 - Choosing an Idea
Now that you have your list of ideas, it’s time to… *cue audible sighs…* be decisive. If you’ve done the Be Decisive bidaily, this should be a piece of cake, but if not, no worries as well!
For this part of the weekly, write a reason for every idea you have why you would like to do it and a reason why you wouldn’t want to do it. This should (hopefully) help you cross out a few ideas and come to a conclusion to which idea to use ^^ You’re ready to move on to the next part once you’ve finalised on an idea <3
——
Part 3 - Mood Board
Back to the second day of camp vibes… With your idea, create a mood board of at least 10 different images that show the theme that you’re planning to achieve with your dream room.
These can be anything from pieces of furniture you find inspiring, a pretty bedsheet, as long as it fits with your vision in some way.
——
Part 4 - Furniture Item
Every designer room needs a statement piece, whether it’s just a couch you love to nap on because of it’s comfiness or an actual “statement” piece like a… what was that- weapon display…? What do people put in their rooms anyways…
Your task for this part will be to create the blueprints or a diagram of a furniture item of your own design that you would like to put in your room! Going off previous examples, this could be something like a collapsible stovetop (that sounds dangerous…) or a huge bouncy cloud armchair. Make sure to include labels that point to different parts of your furniture item to showcase details such as colour, texture, as well as what it does!
——
Part 5 - Build Build Build!
Now that you have your concept and an original piece of furniture, it’s time to put it all together :0 Create the full layout of your dream room either by drawing, collaging, or any other visual medium you prefer, making sure to incorporate everything you’ve done in previous parts! Tailor this to what you like and would find useful or comfortable in a room, it doesn’t have to look like a model home you see on the ads if that isn’t your style. Get creative, and have fun <33
——
Part 6 - Design Statement
It would be a shame for all the thought process to be lost within all the hard work you’ve done to make this dream room a reality - so for this last part of the weekly, write at least 250 words of your design process from start to finish detailing your ideas, why you went with what you did, and anything else you want people to see your room to know!
——
Conclusion
Congratulations, you’ve designed your very own dream room! A long weekly definitely deserves its compensation, so once you’ve confirmed to have finished all the parts below, you can go ahead and claim 2604 pixels for your cabin!
Part 1 - a list of at least 10 ideas for the basic purpose or feeling of your dream room
Part 2 - a reason for every idea you have why you would like to do it and a reason why you wouldn’t want to do it, then finalise on one idea
Part 3 - a mood board of at least 10 different images that show the theme of your dream room
Part 4 - blueprints or a diagram of a furniture item of your own design for your room
Part 5 - a full layout of your dream room using any medium of choice
Part 6 - at least 250 words of your design process
This weekly is due on May 1st, 23:58 UTC. If you are in need of an extension, feel free to ask in the Extention Requests project. Once again, congrats on finishing, and see you next session! <33

Project version can be found here!
♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎
Greetings, designers, and welcome to the grand opening of Scratch Design Camp’s 9th session (Yes, you heard that right — we’re nearing double digits ✨)! In just the blink of an eye, it’s now been one and a half years since the reboot of this wonderful little camp, and almost five years since its initial founding. Quite the occasion, don't you think?
┈⬫┈
This session is themed around none other than tripleS msnz’s EP <Beyond Beauty> — perfectly encapsulating how all of your designs are always beautiful beyond imagination ;D.
┈⬫┈
As the rainy season comes to a close, we shall bid our farewells to one of our tyrants as well. On behalf of the community, we wish Summer all the best on her ascension to SDgHosthood ^^.
┈⬫┈
With that said, here is the host roster for the upcoming session:
Yume @yumetopia - sorting
Encryn @28thDimension - communications
┈⬫┈
Additionally, starting this session, we're implementing lots of little changes and improvements here and there in an effort to promote an even smoother and more enjoyable camp experience.
For now, I’d suggest you take a peek at our all-new Session Calendar linked in the description, just to get an idea of what to expect in the coming few months ;).
┈⬫┈
Furthermore, signups for the Sensational Daily+ Crew (otherwise known as the Daily Team) have just opened up! Head on over to the link in the description to sign up if you’d like to help out in writing some of this session’s activities.
┈⬫┈
Last but certainly not least — if you are looking to participate in SDC but are not planning to apply as a leader, leave a comment on a host’s profile and you will receive a notification once Camper Signups are shared on July 1st! See you then~
┈⬫┈
To those that remain… I’ll take it you’re interested in leading a cabin this session~? Well, look no further, as the next slides onwards will contain none other than this session’s app questions! Let your answers be a genuine reflection of who you are, and have fun!
♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎
Q.1 - About You
Include your nickname, preferred pronouns, and optionally timezone if comfortable! Share some fun facts about yourself as well as any past leadership experience on and off Scratch. Let us get to know you better as both a leader and a person!
┈⬫┈
Q.2 - Cabin Preferences
Which DIMENSION(s) are you looking to lead? (Please check the FAQ for a list of possible cabins!) Specify any ideas you have for theming and storyline, if any ^^
┈⬫┈
Q.3 - Time Dedication
How much time are you willing to dedicate to SDC per day during the planning months (June-July) and during camp (August)? Do you know of any plans in the next few months that will affect your activity levels? If yes, what measures will you take to ensure the cabin runs smoothly regardless?
┈⬫┈
Q.4 - Skills and Shortcomings
What are some skills or traits of yours that would be valuable in a leader? On the other hand, what are some negative traits or habits you have in terms of leadership, collaboration, and time management?
┈⬫┈
Q.5 - Why You?
Why do you want to lead a DIMENSION, and why should we pick you to lead? NOTE: Any answers over 240 characters will NOT be accounted for! More information on why can be found… nowhere! Good luck~ ;)
┈⬫┈
Q.6 - Checkboxes
□ I would prefer to co-lead if at all possible, but I acknowledge that by applying I have a chance to be selected as a leader and am willing to take it on if so.
□ I am willing to and will share a promotional project for SDC.
□ I am interested in helping out with the Memory Book Executives.
♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎ ┈⬫┈ ♥︎
And that is it for the application! All leader apps should be shared as a remix of this project on or before June 20th, 23:59 UTC to be considered. If you are in need of an extension due to unexpected conflicts or technical difficulties, contact a host on their profile and we shall discuss from there.
Best of luck to all of those applying! We cannot wait to see what you come up with ;).
