Shoot, well you can be a candidate if you want, maybe we can get people to reconsider votes. Anyone can be voted for even if they're not on the lit the list. I just made it to keep track of everyone that said they wanted to be a host before voting but then people misunderstood that and started voting.

(If it's worth anything, I'll vote for you, I was actually thinking about you when I was thinking about getting people for the host election)

I didn't even mean for the election to start this early, I made the first post to get extra people who wanted to be candidates but then everyone started voting, I would have waited at least a couple days to start an election)

Well, I do want to be a host pretty well, but a lot of the reasons for it was that I wanted to be sure that we'd have a host that people would agree on that had some good experience with forum posting/formatting, so I thought “Well, I can be a host if people want, or at least other people I trust to host the forum that people are ok with” and I wanted to see who that was.

I didn't mean for the vote to start early, I was trying to get a list of poeple to see if anyone else that I thought would be good hosts wanted to participate, but some poeple misunderstood and voted early, and I guess that it's a bit hard to take in new candidates to be considered at this moment.

We could either allow people to change their votes after voting, we can set a deadline for the vote, and we could also change it from first past the post/choose-one voting to a preferential voting system where you give three points to a candidate, two points to another, and one to another. We'd obviously have to agree on how we keep all current votes - e.g., we could convert all current votes in this one-vote system to two points for whoever was picked.

In that system, after converting (though we should keep somewhere, maybe an Excel file, the details of everyone's votes - so we'd keep who they voted to gain three poinst, who they voted to gain two, and who they voted to gain one) have 16 points towards blessingj100 (yes I'm using full usernames), 2 points towards Spooky_Lukey (who did receive a vote) 2 points towards –Pyra–. We'd also be allowed to change our votes - if so, I'd probably do 3 points towards blessingj100, 2 points towards gplb2718, and 1 point towards –Pyra–.

This system isn't perfect but it would let us know a bit more about everyone's preferences and not force us into basically only having two or one candidate.
