it’s been so long since we’ve properly talked- how are things going for you? auditioned for/been in any new musicals lately? congrats again on magreal, it looks like so much fun!! this new daily concept is really cool, though i don’t write letters that often :eyes: for non-school purposes, at least- i guess it’s a good thing to start doing! by the way, how’s your session of SWC gone so far?

i’ve currently got doomsday by lizzy mcalpine stuck in my head, and it’s making it really hard to write :sob:, so i guess i’m also going to ask - do you have any favourite songs/musicals numbers? and if you could go watch any musical on broadway, which one would you choose?

and finally, writing!! have you been working on anything fun lately? this could go for in general, too!

sorry that this was so brief/basically an interview, i’m honestly not that socially awkward, but i’m kind of running out of conversation starters… the yap will come eventually xD

It has been, I’m so glad we can talk again <333 Things for me are going really well! Life has been super busy but I think I’m handling it alright hahaha xD I have, actually! Well, not a musical but a play. I’m currently playing Harry Potter in Puffs (which is like a harry potter spoof about the hufflepuffs) and it’s been so much fun! Definitely reminding me of my harry potter phase a few years back but it’s been fun to relive those times <333

So real I don’t write letters a whole ton either! I used to have a pen pal but we lost touch a couple of years ago and I haven’t heard from her since </3 it’s really sad because I really enjoyed it back then, but now I get a chance to have more pen pals! I think this idea is super cool and I can’t wait for it to turn into a swclassic because I really think it could have such a fun impact on every session and let people get to know each other better!

Bwahaha the song stuck in your head is so real, I haven’t listened to that specific lizzy mcalpine song but I think I will soon :eyes: I’ll let you know my thoughts hehe <3 OOOO I do!! Currently loving Mr Brightside by The Killers (diving into the old classics I suppose haha <3) as well as Run Boy Run by Woodkid (very vibey for writing) and Survivor by 2WEI! As for musicals, New Money from the Great Gatsby has been on repeat for me, and I’ve recently really gotten back into SIX so that’s been a lot of fun to re-listen to! What other songs are favorites of yours, I would love to hear!

If I could watch any musical on broadway… probably go see Moulin Rogue before it closes! I went to nyc a couple of weekends ago and saw maybe happy ending and hadestown both with their old casts, so that knocked two of my must-see off my list, but I probably won’t see Moulin Rogue which is really disappointing for me </3 What musical(s) would you see on broadway/the west end if you could?

And for writing, not really, sadly </3 I was making some progress on my novel, but then competition season hit and I haven’t had time to do much of anything recently haha <3 but hopefully I’ll get back into it soon! The SWC dailies are literal lifesavers because they actually force me to write haha xD What about you? Working on anything interest lately?

And in general for fun things, I feel like there’s been a lot going on! With Puffs and show choir and actually starting to be better about making/staying in touch with my friends, it’s been a very hectic few months for me, but I really love it because usually January and February are such a drag but I felt like they just flew by!

How has your day been so far? Anything interesting happen? Scary? Exciting? I’d love to hear <33

yess same and ooh that sounds so cool! i haven’t heard of puffs but it seems like a fun concept- and you’re so right!! the harry potter phase really does bring back nostalgia <3

and aww manifesting that reply for you one day… losing contact with a friend is always the worst, especially if you guys could’ve stayed friends for years :( and ooh yes!! i don’t listen to lizzy that much either so i have no idea why that song was stuck in my head, but i hope you enjoy it nevertheless haha- i’ll have a listen to your song choices soon as well, and let you know what i think!

one of my recent favourites have been the stateside remix by pinkpantheress + zara larsson - i originally didn’t like it that much, but it grew on me after alysa liu skated to it for the olympic gala :D

ooh, i think i remember you mentioning that weekend trip!! as well as hadestown, which i would LOVE to go see, i’ve also got the outsiders musical and dear evan hansen on my watchlist/wishlist!

honestly that thing about SWC dailies is so true - the SWC activites are like the only reason why my word count actually exists- and fingers crossed you get that time for your novel! i’m currently working on a novel too, which is going well, but veeeery slowly… it’s been like 9 months and i still only have 3 characters, because i change my idea for the plot like every week :sob:

and yayy, that’s so fun! 2026 has gone by in a flash so far-

today was good! i had some plans for today that i wouldn’t have been able to make because a pre-existing plan had a time change so the activities clashed (that probably didn’t make much sense xD), so i was a little stressed about that because they were both relatively important, but i managed to go to both things in the end, which i’m quite happy/relieved about <3 and school was fine today!! i had drama, so that was nice :)

Oh I love the stateside remix! Sometimes I’ll just break into the intro dance because it’s so catchy <33 I didn’t really keep up much with the Olympics but had so much fun watching the figure skaters!! Ilia Malanin and Alysa Liv were two of my favorites to watch haha <3

OOOOO those are such good choices! I actually haven’t listened to much of the outsiders but everybody loves it so I’m starting to wonder if I’m missing out *thinking* and Dear Evan Hansen is so good eeee <3 I absolutely love it!

And oh my goodness an Elly novel? That sounds so cool! I’m giving you all the motivation mangoes and hype hehe— I know it’s going to be so amazing!!!

I had to read it like three times but yeah that tracks! I’m so glad that you were able to make both activities, that’s always a really nice feeling when everything works out to plan <3 but the stress beforehand is never good, so I’m so sorry that you had to deal with that </3 and ooo drama class sounds so fun!

Hmmm lets see… my favorite ice cream flavor is probably anything that has to go with multiple different layers of chocolate (brownie chunks, chocolate chips, etc) because the more chocolate the better ;D I also love like the choose-your-own-topping frozen yogurt places because I think it’s a lot of fun to be able to have whatever you want on your ice cream hehe— what about you?

And the last movie I watched was People We Meet on Vacation!! One of my best friends really loved it and she would not rest until I watched it to so I did! It was a fun watch and I don’t know if I’d ever watch it again but I really enjoyed it hehe <33 what’s the last movie you watched, and what’s one movie/show release you’re looking forward to this year :eyes:

A small day update because I have energy and feel like writing more words!! The juniors are taking the SAT today so we have the day off, except it didn’t work last Tuesday when they were actually supposed to take it so we have to do zoom school today (the lessons are like 30 minutes so its fine) so that we don’t get in trouble by the state for not being in school bwahaha <3 but they don’t start for like another half hour so I’m just chilling and writing while I wait for them to start! Then I have rehearsals for Puffs this afternoon and then a show choir exhibition!

honestly same, the only thing i kind of watched for the olympics was figure skating haha- and yess dear evan hansen is just so iconic :sparkles: i haven't listened to much of the outsiders either, but i read the book recently (i had bought it ages ago but only just got around to it … oops!) and really enjoyed it! i loved the movie, too, so i'm interested as to how it's been adapted for the stage!

and thank you most kindly for the mangoes ;D i'll make sure to eat use them for motivation!! or i could burn them and give myself the energy that you get from the heat from the flames… :,D

i guess it's safe to say that i LOVE your taste in ice cream - i 100% agree! having all the chocolate-y toppings just makes it soo much more interesting, somehow- same goes for cookie dough ice cream in my case! and ohh i just realised that i haven't been to one of those choose your topping places in ages </3 i haven't been to a pick n mix in a while, either, and those are also fun, so i was kind of reminded of that xD

as for “people we meet on vacation”, ooh, yess! i've heard of that movie, and i may give it a watch when i get the time to. it seems really good! the last movie i watched was clueless, which was also a fun one, but same goes for what you said- i probably won't watch it again </3 the main character was absolutely iconic though- she was kind of giving me elle woods vibes! and to be fair, i don't rewatch movies that much :P

i'm really really looking forward to the sunrise on the reaping movie- the book was absolutely AMAZING, and mckenna grace is acting as maysilee, and i love her music so it would be nice to see some more of her acting!

i'm also looking forward to spider-man: brand new day, though i've probably got to catch up on marvel before watching it - as well as those, i'm strangely really excited for this movie called “the magic faraway tree” that's coming out later this month! it's a popular children's book in the UK and i remember loving to read it, so i'm looking forward to seeing it on screen! and i realise i just mentioned spider-man so i guess it's worth mentioning that andrew garfield is in it haha. what about you, have you got any releases your looking forward to?

and i lowkey actually remembered to listen to “run, boy, run” today! turns out i do actually know the song haha, just not very well- partially from edits, partially from other people's playlists (and i have now added it to mine :D).

finally - yayy that's good! unless you were looking forward to going to school today :zany: and ooh, rehearsals and an exhibition - i hope you have fun! it's the evening for me right now, so i'm not really doing anything interesting, but my day went well, although i kept on zoning out in class (i've been feeling a little burnt out lately). i've got some nice things coming up tomorrow, though, so i'm happy about that! i've mainly been procrastinating on homework for the past few hours so i might need to go and do that- wish me luck :sobs:

So sorry it took me a second to get back to you, yesterday was a hectic day :sobbing: I was at the school from 8 in the morning to 9 at night </3 But it was a good day overall!! Just exhausting haha– the usual: how has your day been?

And I also love cookie dough ice cream oh my goodness! It’s so good <33 I also love cake batter ice cream– like vanilla but better ;P

Oooo I’ve heard a lot about clueless! Would you recommend it? And honestly same, I do not watch as many movies as I probably think I do, and then all of a sudden I get into this thing where like all I want to do is watch movies. It’s so weird!!

And EEE SUNRISE ON THE REAPING I literally cannot believe that it’s coming out this year! I adore Mckenna grace and think that she’s so cool, so I really am so excited for it <33 Also I love any movie with the covey because it makes it seem more like a musical in my opinion (part of the reason I loved ballad) and therefore ten times better ;D I also really love Lenore so I’m excited to see her come to life!

And I haven’t actually seen any of the spiderverse movies! I know a lot of people are trying to get me into it, so I really should make an effort to watch those. And that movie also sounds so cool! It’s always fun when you get to watch a throwback movie <3

And I’m honestly really looking forward to the live action Tangled– I don’t know when it’s coming out but the hype is real! I don’t usually love disney live actions but it’s by the director of the Greatest Showman so I have high hopes hehe <33

And I’m so sorry you’ve been feeling burnt out– cheering for you and hoping that it gets better! And it’s probably long done but I’m wishing you luck anyways because homework is no joke </3

And as for today!!!! It was a very good day <3 I did really well on my language test that I was stressed about, as well as the timed writing portion of it! I also got placed in the front row for our next show choir number which is really exciting because that’s where our director puts all of our strongest dancers/visuals and it’s only my second time being placed there (and the first was because I had a solo). So that’s all been good!!

There isn’t much else really for me to talk about I feel, but I’m excited to hear back from you!

firstly, i’d like to apologise for the EXTREMELY late reply - things have been quite busy in real life! as for a catchup on how my day went; it’s been good! i had a few tests which i think went okay. i spent a super long time in my physics test trying to remember this one equation before realising it was literally on the page :sobs:

i also started this really good book today! it’s called ‘if i had to be haunted’ - not really something i’d usually go for but at the same time exactly the kind of thing i want to read! what about you - how was your day?

and yesss - i can’t wait for summer, aka ice cream season!!

clueless was surprisingly really good! i’d definitely recommend it as a more of a light-hearted watch, and the main character is just so iconic haha. i’m sure sunrise on the reaping will be too!!! you’re so right, i’m really looking forward to seeing lenore! and lou tooo- do you have any favourite book-movie adaptations?

i didn’t know that that director was going to be the one directing tangled, that’s so cool aah! the greatest showman is honestly such a timeless movie, and the soundtrack is just so good.

Oh my goodness I've read that book!!! It was a little while ago but I loved it <3 what do/did you think of it?

My day has been really good!! I went for a hair appointment this morning and got like five inches chopped off and my curtain bangs refreshed which was fun, and then my mom took me to get my nails done after!!!
I also got really good news a couple of days ago– I got into the show choir I've been wanting to be in all my life!!! It's one of the top in the country and the hardest to get into at our school <3 I'm feeling really proud about that and the fact that i'm actually like. a member. has not sunk in yet haha so still processing that xD

Oooo adaptations… I feel like I haven't seen one in a while that was like actually done well, if you know what I mean? I really enjoyed the ballad of songbirds and snakes, though! What about you?

Hmmm we did a tap number to let it go which was really fun, and for the closer to our competition set we did a mashup of maneater/it's raining men which was a super fun number!!! And I'm excited to see what I get to do in my new choir because I'm sure that it will be fun and intense ;D
