Kleemiya's (co)leader app! (Hopefully I can put it here)

Answers in order of written

About me
Word Count: 115

Hello humans! You may call me Kleemiya or Yuugei. I use she/her pronouns. I am currently heading towards the end of year 8 and with that, middle school! I enjoy reading, playing video games, writing and coding. While I may not write much, I definitely read a lot! Some of my favourite books are… For the sake of your convenience, I am not going to list them. However, probably the most obvious is the Harry Potter series. My favourite character in there is Hedwig and I am in Ravenclaw (but could be a huffleclaw/Ravenpuff). Oh and sometimes I help around in official studios like SDSs I have plans for this year's scratch camp…

Cabin atmosphere
Character count: 129

A storyline intensive cabin… not without competitiveness either! Don't forget about making memories and enjoying the experience!

Excerpt
Word Count: 202

Look, it's a ladybug!” Kia shouted. All the other students were in absolute awe, it has been a long time since most people have seen a ladybug. They say that 5 years ago all the ladybugs disappeared. Today, we have proven that wrong. I replied “Surely, that's a ladybug? They disappeared 5 years ago didn't they?” The ladybug's coat reflected in Sam's eye, making him more excited than ever. He thought “Guys, let's report to the government! Nah, I am just joking. We should keep it to ourselves.” They all stared at the beautiful red cover of the ladybug, they were all mesmerised by it. I actually tried to pay attention to the lesson we were in but the ladybug was too distracting. Then, the teacher raised her voice and stated “ It's just a bug, now go back to my lesson!” Well, that would not work obviously. Ladybugs are extremely rare now. “But it's a Ladybug! It's supposed to be extinct!”, someone shouted. Then the teacher replied “It could just be fake for all we know.” It upsetted students a lot. Although, it was a weird incident so I enjoyed it while it lasted. The rest of the lesson passed without any disturbances.

Cabin preferences
Word Count: 199

Well, I have two cabin ideas if I get leader. Here they are!!

Cabin Idea 1

Genre: I think Thriller? But I am not sure
Description: In this cabin, campers get admitted to a school for Crooks. There, the co-head masters set up a tournament accross the whole school. Campers would get sorted into 2 teams and compete against each other for the crooked cup. Campers would have to solve puzzles and complete tasks.
But all must be done quickly before the rival team wins…

Cabin Idea 2

Genre: Fantasy!
Description: Campers get pulled into the world of the Skandar series. They would have to survive the hatchling chaos cup or get kicked out. But apart
from that, something else is in the air… Campers would be spilt into 4 different groups, water, air, fire and earth. Everyone would have to work with everyone

Regarding TCWNW:

I would rather not lead TCWNW due to my ideas seeking a more competitive cabin. However, if I co-lead, I honestly wouldn't mind.

Cabin prefs if offer to co-lead

I wouldn't really care co-leader wise, as long as it's not something like horror (but gothic is fine) which I wouldn't read or write in.

Time Dedication
Word Count: 120

Let's see… I generally have decent free time. I would probably be able to dedicate a hour or two on a weekday. On a weekend, I would be able to do around 3 to 4 hours. Thats at least what i want, but I may go over what I want!

Oh and plans… Plans… I think their isn't much plans that will affect my SWC life. However, I am graduating from my middle school so Leaver's ceremony stuff also going on a school trip last day of term! It also means I could come home a little bit late! (Note: I will be able to check in as phones are allowed) Also the usual, extracurriculars, rest of school and holidays.

One Quality
Word Count: 82

The quality I have chosen is… Perseverance.

I choose this quality because I believe everyone needs some to help with their lives. Everyone has tough times and sometimes you might be alone. Having perserveance will help massively.

I think I embody this trait because I had to go though some… difficult times (not major but..) I had to well keep going to get what I wanted and well sometimes it works. Generally, it does help with the tough times! Highly recommend it.

Time Management
Word Count: 69

Probably the worst thing out of here… I do have decent skills probably but I am doubting myself here..

On the bright side, I always complete my homework on time so that's saying something! I would to use this as an opportunity to improve! I do keep track of projects.

I am also easily distracted and prone to procrastinating. Thought I would mention, it is quite annoying isn't it?

Experience
Word Count: 115

I don't really have much to write about here as I have literally only been in one session It was in Fantasy cabin March 2025 as a camper. I have also in been in 2 sessions in 2 camps after March as well! Fortunately I have experience with leadership positions outside of SWC!

First off, I have leadership experience irl. In my school, I am a music leader and a digital leader. I have also been a librarian helper as well but's that's not really a leadership position. In Scratch, I was a SDS helper 3 times and I believe it taught me a bit about leadership!I also got scratch week X2 too

Checkboxes
Word Count: 76

A) Check all that apply

*insert green tick* point adding one
*insert green tick* promotional project

B) no

C) In case of one of an unplanned (co)leader's inactivity, I would first post a comment on their profile and wait 2-3 days. If not responding then I would split the responsibilities. If not active for more than 2 weeks, I will
choose a new (co)leader. If planned then just step 2. In case of my own, then I will notify my fellow leaders and request one to take over my WCG (or shift)

The moon drinker
I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|I|
Prologue
Word count:
Part 1

“You really have to be thirsty don't you?” She asked, staring intently at the person opposite her.

She looked very angry at it; it pleaded innocence at her; it had no response. It would not say anything. She was blocking the way for it to get a drink.
She remarked with “You had enough to drink for the century and more.

”Need more power…. Give me a… Sip“ It managed to choke out. Looking for a way to sneak though her.

”No, it's dangerous, life threatening for the people below." She stated, almost breaking into an argument. She was a caring person, she could be called a caretaker. Caring, caring for it, caring for the people down on earth.

It had no emotions, any emotions they got were only the negative emotions. It was feeling very angry. It had a scowl on his face and looked ready to engage in violence “Just… Le….t me…. Though….” It exclaimed in a very angry voice.

“What would you ever do without me!?” She tried to prompt it to stop trying to get though, "Just drop your act already! I know you just want to end humanity don't you! She shouted. The conversation turned into a full argument. The two kept arguing and arguing and arguing. Eventually it started a fight between them. She was no fighter, only a protecter It managed to break though. She tried to stop it into getting more sips than his century allowance. It's allowance is only one tiny drop. But that one tiny drop was something different on its own.

It made a lept for the goblet which contained what it wanted.
It managed to hold the goblet. The caretaker was left in choice but to use her powers. The powers that she swore to never touch again; never ever. When it started to drink from the goblet. A catastrophe was happening on earth. The Moon started to fall upon the earth. The Moon tried to stop it but it was too late. They drank more from it than usual. The tides grew violent with the low tide revealing whole coral reefs. The high swallowing up all the coastal towns. The caretaker saw this happening and decided to sacrifice herself in hopes of buying more time for the next generation of caretakers. She fused herself with the liquid in the goblet.

She would make the liquid undrinkable for a couple of centuries. Buying time for the next caretakers. It , the drinker, tried to drink but couldn't. It stopped when the liquid touched it's lip. Meanwhile, the caretaker started to fade away. Watching the drinker with a depressed face, like she was at its funeral. Eventually, she faded into the liquid, strengthening the moon. The Moon pulled theirself back up into his usual position. The tides returned to as they should be. Humankind, land animals and sea life were saved alike. Every animal watched the moon pull theirself back up, from the human to the squirrel to the penguin to the tinsy tiny plankton.

The drinker was compelled to put the goblet back where it should be while exiting the room. It had a very enraged face. It /must/ find a way to resume drinking it. To kill all life and rule the universe. “That caretaker! I should have not trusted her!” It shouted to himself. It was determined to get the goblet back into its hand. It found himself outside the room.

On the other hand, The Moon was already choosing their next caretakers. This process would take multiple centuries to complete, The Moon always chose very, very carefully. In case, they would betray them to the drinker.

Hydra for cabin wars

There was a special boat docked at the very fancy dock. The boat was just a ordinary boat. Much unlike the dock. It was covered in gold from all angles. Gold anchors, gold walkways, gold tiling, gold priers. Gold was just about everywhere. The thing about the boat was that it didn't had even a single trace of gold. Honestly, even the boats had gold on them. The boat instead contained a special cargo. Priceless gems, gems for the your highness, Queen Samantha of Milokland. Milokland was a very rich place. Money could be seen just… piling on the streets. Even the commoners had a lot of money. They were still considered poor for. The nobles were more than millionaires.

(continue above)

In fact, the nobles were multi billionaires. The capital is called Milok (ME-LO-OK), the place is decked out from the poorest regions all the way to the GRAND, grand castle like it is as shiny as a blazing sun on a Midsummers day. The grand castle is split into 4 areas, North, south and well, you get the idea. Which area has two golden spirals. One taller than the other. Apart from that, the castle looks a normal on the planning sheets. However, in real life, it is truly the grandest of grand.

Random thing✨✨✨

“Oi, get back here!” I shouted at, you won't believe it, my fridge. Yes, you heard it correctly my fridge. Like literally running, it grew legs out of nowhere and arms. It then somehow opened my front door when I clearly remember locking it for the night. I don't know who did it, so don't ask me. Maybe, just maybe, the fridge was actually a magic fridge but I don't know. I brought it off Amazon if it helps with anything at all. Anyway, the running fridge kept running and running, ignoring anything I said. Maybe it's a mobile fridge? But hey, I'm not a fridge expert. The fridge eventually crashed into a wall, a wall of one of the houses on my street. I quickly apologised to the owners of the house. Then I stormed though their house, forgetting to apologise again. I can be a bit silly sometimes. I managed to catch the walking fridge by cornering it into a another fridge which tried to walk as well but then I stopped it. I started to bring the incapacitated fridge back into my house. I hoped that it wouldn't try to flee again. Or maybe I should just buy another from a fridge store. After a while, I decided to buy a new one from the local fridge store. So I toke the old fridge into a dumpster and then went to the store to get a new fridge. I bought a very fancy looking fridge and inserted into where my old fridge used to stand. Hopefully, this fridge wouldn't try to run away as well.

Now, you may wonder what happened while I was at the store. I will say what happened at the store for price. Yes… Yes… 100 coins or you won't know what happened at the store. They told me to keep it a secret

Extra challenge

“Everyone come and gather~ the show is starting soon!!” The Entertainer projected with a merry voice. Making gestures to bring the people's attention to them. The performance was happening at The whistling man. A tavern known for the merry atmosphere at fills the tavern up. The customers were enjoying their drinks. Everyone was in a jolly mood. Nothing would destroy it. The show started, everyone was clapping to the rhythm the entertainer was playing. The melody filled the audience's heart with love and happiness. No one wanted to leave. Everyone was being kind; most importantly they all had similes. With The Entertainer here, the mood was even more merry. Even though it was night, it might as well be the middle of the day. Sun shining bright down upon the. The Entertainer suddenly announced, “I am no longer just by myself, I have a new member!!” The audience clapped even louder. Similes beaming from their faces. The Entertainer's second was smiling as well. They couldn't be nervous no? Well they were but who actually cared? Everyone was humming to the more fuller tune. The staff were happy was well, imagining the amount of gold, silver and copper The whistling man earned today. The tavern owner was looking down from the indoor balcony, all they could think was ‘I will be rich beyond! My dreams!’' as more people poured in from the streets.

Daily #1 - 1k intro - 01/11/25
1010 words written

You find yourself a diary of someone, tentatively you open the diary and find a very long introduction written by someone…

Oh hi there, person who does scratch writing camp! I see you have stumbled upon my 1k intro! Well then, I’m kleemiya_the_furball and my nicknames are Kleemiya (most used and most well known as) and Yuugei (less used on scratch, used elsewhere!). As for pronouns, just she/her!
I have had my scratch account for 3 years (created on October 16th, 2022), during that time many things happened , not a lot of detail now though- I will explain later, and have gone though different phases. This is also my third session of SWC and in the great gothic! #gothicftw!!

Right now, I am currently living in the UK and is in year 9 (which is upper school for me, also equivalent to grade 8 in the USA). This means that I will be choosing my GCSEs in around december to february and will officially be a GCSE student from May (yay!!!). During my middle school years, I actually got to challenge ten (and completed it!) with 2 in real life friends of mine of the british cipher challenge! We got free pizza as well :O
Outside of school, I do quite a few extracurricular activities such as Climbing, AI and Machine Learning courses, game design and theatre!
First of all, with climbing, I am currently doing level 3 NICAS (national indoor climbing association scheme) having completed level 2 in June! Additionally, my personal goal in climbing is being less afraid of dynamic move, and falling.
About game design; AI and Machine learning, I am technically halfway for the course for game design! (split into three levels: level one, level two (current) and level 3 - same as the AI&ML courses (level one for that)). As for game design specially, I am using unreal engine (formerly 4.23 but moved to 5.5 for level two) and it is quite fun to use! Fun fact: game design is my dream career! Specifically looking at AI&ML, using python there through something called visual studio code (microsoft thingy), doing this as it’s definitely a future proof career (backup career!) and it will probably help with my dream career I have used javascript before.
Looking at my theatre classes, right now I am looking towards a show (that is happening this month, definitely ready for it). Additionally, I haven’t done many shows yet…

Well outside of my extracurricular activities, my hobbies are playing video games (includes making them); writing (shocking I know); reading books (I’m a bookworm at this point) and chilling out on scratch!
Firstly, with reading books. Where do I start? I guess I will start with my favourite genre. It is fantasy, however, I still read mystery, action and other similar genres (absolutely no horror or romance for me!). I will talk mainly about the fantasy books I have read though.
Fantasy books that I have read (and are within my age range, I have read books above that lol) include the skandar series by A.F Steadman, harry Potter (favourite character is Hedwig and I am a mix of ravenclaw and hufflepuff), and plenty of others that I haven't mentioned. Oh and another series (that is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy) is the dragonships series by Scott Reintgen (probably quite niche, second book is hilarious and I have quite a few theories for the third book, not for today) (I probably spelt the surname wrong)
As for non-fantasy books, I have read series such as the Crookhaven series and some books of the murder most unladylike series (up to book 4), like with fantasy books, and a few others(have read The Hunger Games). Right now, I don’t feel like going into much depth but my favourite books are the crookhaven series (more specifically book 5) and the dragonship series(book 2 especially, I love the humour in that, who let children in charge of the war-).
Finally at last (not the end yet), I will talk about the video games I have played. Actually, I’m still exploring what genres I am more into so far so for now I mainly play anything but FPS shooters for me! The most recent game (as of writing this) I played is Planet Zoo (my sandbox zoo is going along swimmingly). I used to play more mobile games as well.
With writing, I mainly do it during SWC so does it really count?
Fun fact: I actually collect postcards as well and I actually have quite a lot, my postcard album is reaching it’s limit-

Before I talk about scratch, I would make to mention some favourite things as well.

Like that my favourite food is the butter tofu that my mum makes. That’s one thing. Another is that my favourite school subject is computer studies (and PE is my least favourite), to be honest I actually don’t have a favourite movie. Also, I have a favourite colour which is purple.

About scratch, some things that I have done include roleplaying, community helping, swcing and just browsing scratch. Furthermore, I own a scratch wiki account and have made 100+ edits (I believe). I also own 6+ alts as well.
With community helping, it actually all started with scratchtober 2022 (started the day after I created my scratch account) and I decided to help out so that’s how it basically started. (roleplaying was discovered by something else) I found SWC because of community helping. Additionally, since I started, I was a SDS helper 3 times and scratch week curator 2 times! I also helped out PPTBF studio as well. During April this year, my like for roleplaying rekindled and for the july session, I actually got quite a few words from roleplaying! Apart from that, the projects I make are typically related to that, I make a lot of parallaxes and more art related projects than games really.

And this is the end of my 1k intro yay!

Daily 17th - Autumn pastries

Feast your eyes upon the ULTIMATE autumn-pumpkin pastry! This recipe for HOT-CHOCOLATE, PUMPKIN PUFF PASTRY will melt your heart away!
First, you need to check if you have the ingredients required available! The lost will be coming shortly but first, of you don't have, go to the store near you. It sells everything you need for this.
This recipe serves four

~ Required Ingredients ~
- 150g of instant hot chocolate
- 500 ml of milk (that your dad brought is even better)
- a half of a chocolate bar
- one packet of instant puff pastry
- 100ml of warm water
- 50g of marshmallows
- 2 teaspoons of pumpkin flavouring
- edible glue

Once you have got all of the ingredients required, we can now move on with the recipe!
1. First, set the temperature on your kettle (Americans, go get a kettle for this as Microwave don't work for this recipe) to 80°C Then prepare the hot chocolate according to instructions on the packaging. Make sure this stays warm when completed.
2. Next, start preparing the puff pastry according to the instructions, you should get two sheets.
3 After that when mixing the pastry, add the 2 teaspoons of pumpkin flavouring to give that autumny taste to it that we want.
4. Upon completion of the puff pastry, use a cookie cutter to cut out round circles for the top and the half.
5. Now, we melt the chocolate bar with the marshmallows, that if frozen, would make marshmallow flavoured chocolate. Start pouring the mixture in with the hot chocolate that was made earlier.
6. As you might have noticed, the mixture is now quite runny, leave it in the fridge for ten minutes to chill the mixture down. Don't worry, it will all heat up once we bake the pastry. After the wait, add a scoop of it to the circles, making sure that there is bits not covered to seal the pastry. Once you have finished, take the other circle and close it on top of the scoop, use edible glue if struggling to seal it up.
7. Set the oven to bake it at 180°C fan oven or 210°C for a fan less oven. Let the pastries on a baking tray and put them into the oven for one hour or until golden brown {WEAR OVEN GLOVES}
8. Once it has finished baking, take the pastries out. You may add extra toppings to the pastries if you want.

Et voila! You have the ultimate autumn pastry in your hands. I would love to see what you made online!

What if we dream together?
Kleemiya's (co-)leader application!
Total words: 2015

About me

Hello, hello! You can call me Kleemiya or Yuugei, and I use she/her pronouns. Currently, I am a year 9 student that has to deal with gcses soon (well in summer term), my favourite subject is computer studies. I am also apparently a digital leader because I attended after school computer club which turned out to be the digital leader club. Apart from school life, I also LOVE reading books, like I have a whole book shelf filled along with other shelves filled. Right now, my favourite genre is fantasy, I have read plenty of fantasy books. However, my favourite series are not only fantasy. My top three favourites are the dragonships series, the crookhaven series and the wheel of time series. Additionally, I have read even more books than the ones listed above. Some of the other series that I like but aren’t the ones listed above, Percy Jackson (the first and second one), Harry Potter etc.

Now, talking about scratch, I have currently had my scratch account for around 3 years. I would like to mention my scratch experience. Since, it helped me become who I am. Back in the wee old days where I used to play genshin, I found scratch via school and after like a few months (during year 6 I believe), I created my first account. @kleemiya_the_furball. During around the same time, I discovered community helping which would lead to me finding out about swc and joining in march 2025. I also find out about roleplaying but that isn’t so important.

Talking about my hobbies, my favourite ones are, playing video games and taking photos (I am also planning to take photography GCSE!). Currently, I play minecraft and planet zoo but are also considering trying portal. Right now, I am planning a cool underground base in minecraft.

One quality

This definitely wasn’t the easiest but I have came to a choice. The one quality I choose is patience. Why? I believe that it is essential when it comes to leadership and working with others.

I think that it is essential to have a trait like that so when ,for example, you are waiting for something to be made (like a thumbnail or a pfp), you don’t nag the person(or people) about it taking a time to create. This would be important for leadership because if you don’t have a treat like this, you could end up seeming rude and annoying as you wouldn’t wait for your fellow leaders to be active.

I believe that I embody it in leadership terms because I don’t find myself looking annoyed when people are taking the time they need to complete something. Additionally, it will help show that you care about other people’s needs and respect the time that other people want/need. It can also mean that you could be more encouraging to someone if they are running a little behind the schedule.

I feel that it will be important in leadership as it will motivate yourself to be more kind and encouraging to your fellow (co)leaders.

Cabin preferences

This will likely be one of the longest sections, considering that I have three main cabin ideas (all three could be potentially debuts) I will talk about the three later on in this section. If I don’t get leader, I will be fine with coleadering almost every genre, just not romance, horror and gothic (because I was in that cabin last session).
Additionally, I would prefer not to lead tctwnw due to the fact that two of my main ideas would work better with a competitive cabin. I also enjoy the more competitive part of swc a lot.

As for my first idea, I would like to propose a crookhaven themed cabin. In this cabin, the campers would be split into two groups(named merits and legacies) and would be competing for the crooked cup. Along the way, campers would have to solve puzzles (this can changed based on the genre) and events that would gain points for their team. Towards the end of camp, a last puzzle would appear, giving the most points and ending the cup tournament. I feel like this would most fit three different genres: mystery, thriller and crime fiction. The idea would change slightly depending on the genre.

Secondly, I have a more fantasy orientated cabin idea. In this dragonships cabin, campers would get recruited into three different crews (each having a different dragon) and then a glitch in the system happens causing the ships to fail and locking the crews into the martian system. Campers would have to race to find who is the culprit before it is too late. During this time, campers would also have to deal with the day-to-day lives of being part of a dragon crew. This would work for a science fantasy, sci-fi, or fantasy cabin.

Thirdly, this cabin idea is more of a casual one, and could work for tctwnw, where campers are part of a travel agency and write blogs about locations (can be real or pretend) they have “visited”. This cabin idea hasn’t really been thought out the most and is the one that has the opportunity for discussion with my fellow co-leaders. This would likely be suited for travel writing, journalism or real-fi.

Cabin atmosphere

Enter a cabin driven by storytelling and bonding, but not without a sprinkle of competitiveness! This cabin will guarantee wonderful memories and a joyful time.

Collaboration and Assets

I would say that I am okay with collaborating with others (due to reasons I will mention later). I also believe that I have things to bring with me if I become a (co)leader.

Firstly, I will start with the positives. I am pretty good at coming up for ideas that are unique and cool (for example, this app theme!). This will help a lot when it comes to working with my (co)leader(s) as it can help when ideas are scarce. This would be important to have as it means that you would always have some ideas going.
Additionally, since I have Canva, I can also make banners/any assets the team needs. (the account is on a doxxing email). I consider myself decent at designing things. Much unlike real life, I am way more talkative and will be willing to discuss things with my team. This shows that I would be good with brainstorming ideas to share with my team

On the flip side, there are definitely negatives about me when it comes to collabing with others. One is that I can be quite stubborn when it comes to deciding what to do. For example, I could end up insisting on something else when I should let it happen. Additionally, I also find myself being a little of a perfectionist when it comes to things such as grades and schoolwork. I also end up procrastinating a lot as well (playing games instead of working on this app!). However, I am willing to work on these things by becoming a leader so it will affect me less badly.

Time management

I consider myself to be decent at time management, not exactly good but not exactly bad. I have major advantages and disadvantages with my time management skills.

Firstly, I like to start with the positives so I will start with it. I generally do better and remember to do it if the deadline is closer to the date than if it is further away. This is because I believe I work more efficiently under pressure than I do without. This also makes me more focused on the work as well. Not so important but I have good punctuality when it comes to not being late for things which I believe is important for having good time management skills.

Now moving on to the negatives of my time management skills (which is definitely quite a bit). One of my biggest problems with time management is that I have quite some problems with procrastination but I am hoping that being a leader will help quite a bit with it. Additionally, I do find myself being a bit of a perfectionist which will mean some more issues with time management. Furthermore, I don’t really use any planning tools/notebooks to keep track of tasks and usually just try to remember. This can definitely lead to me forgetting about things.

Time dedication

My plans for March don’t seem to be busy for now (as well it is in two months) so apart from school and my extracurriculars, March should be free. Additionally, I would likely find myself practising hobbies which would also take more time. Counting all the previous factors (and any surprise events!), I should be able to dedicate around 1-2 hours a day during the session, and probably more as well.

Now thinking about the planning months, Most of January and February should be a lot like March, pretty much free. However, there is a major school event (Apps for good, if you know, you know) which will take up a lot of my time for SWC that I will need to use for working on the project. Additionally, since I’m a British year 9 student, this will also mean choosing my future GCSE and what I will want to do in the future. This will also reduce the amount of time I will be able to use for SWC. Furthermore, there will likely be surprise events relating to school as well (likely relating to GCSEs or the school event) that will also eat up time. I expect weekends to be pretty free and undisturbed. Looking at the things I mentioned above, I expect to be able to have around 30 mins - 1 hour free on weekdays and at least 1 hour free on weekends.

This means I should be able to dedicate a decent amount of time to SWC.

Experience

I have quite a bit of experience when it comes to SWC as I have participated in three sessions, which means I also have quite some writing experience. In my three sessions, I was a camper so I know how it is like to experience the story that leaders make.

March ‘25 Fantasy Shiz University - camper
July ‘25 Bi-fi festival - camper (mainly inactive for the second half)
November ‘25 Gothic the nightshades - camper

From SWC, I also have participated (as camper) in other camps, so I also have camping experience in general. However, I haven’t written much outside of SWC (except for school work).

That dosen’t mean I have quite a bit of leadership experience. Back in year 8, I was both a digital leader and music leader of my school. This shows that I know responsibility with real life leadership roles. I believe that I have even more experience with leadership on scratch though. As I have been helping in community studios (like official studios) since I created this scratch account (I haven’t been helping much lately). Some roles that I have held in the past include SDS helper three times in the past and a scratch week curator two years in the row. Additionally, I have also helped in many other events, this includes scratch camp (2023, 2024), scratchtober, other SDSs. I have also applied for front page curator five times, meaning I have experience making applications before

1. a) I will be available to add points throughout the session

b) I am not willing to share a promotional project

2. Nope!

3. Firstly, in case of inactivity from myself, I will alert my team and the rest of the leadership team. If it comes from someone on my team, then if alerted, I would make sure their wcg would be covered and still can consistently have words added. Additionally, I would find a way to make sure their role in the story wouldn’t be affected badly. If not warned, I would first try to contract them about their sudden inactivity, if not responded to within 2 days, I would take the steps mentioned above as well as regularly trying to contact them, I would also bring it up to the hosts if inactivity extends.

Daily #5 - World book day reviews
Words written: 489

My review for Sunrise on the reaping (written by Suzanne Collins)
I give the book 5/5 stars.

I personally enjoy this prequel over the main series. It definitely has a feel of a more mature vibe and has its depressing moments. Additionally, if you wanted to learn more about Haymitch (whether it’s that you liked him, or just wanted to know why he is somber) then this is the go to book. The surprise death outside the hunger games (trying not to spoil) was surprising and revealing as to why Haymitch is who he is. In fact, after I finished the book, I cried (which is something I never really did when reading books)!

My review for wheel of time 1-7 (written by Robert Jorden and Brandon Sanderson 12-14)
I give the first 7 books in the series 4.5/5 stars.

Note: This is an adult book so be careful and you might need permission to read it.

This is the highest age category of the books I’m reviewing/commenting about today. My favourite parts about the series (1-7 at least) is the shifting fractions and the interesting elements of the world. The fact that the characters each have different goals also makes it addictive. One of my minor complaints is that Rand (main, main character) sometime makes slightly dumb decisions which does annoy me sometimes. In my opinion, the most interesting group to read about is the Aes Sedai (I like how they are mysterious and hard to figure out which allows for some questions and theories to emerge!). I also think that the use of prophecies and ta’varen (the pattern bends around them, increasing the chance of very rare things happening, Mat, Perrin and Rand are all one.) is nice and helps to supplement the story. (Ending here so I don’t keep on talking)

My review for Last dragon on mars (written by Scott Reintgen)
I give the book 5/5 stars.

The story is a mix of sci-fi and fantasy, and is set in a futuristic mars but with a twist - each moon, planet and star has a dragon (think of it as like a physical avatar!). Even though this book (series, it will be a trilogy when the third book releases) is middle grade, I still very much enjoy this book! As of now, it is one of my favourite books and ended with me reading more sci-fi. It also has its funny moments(one of my favourites is when Lunar initially meets Dread) as well. Furthermore, I personally think the characters do have interesting points about them. I also like that the endings are more open, allowing readers to have fun making up theories about what will happen next!
At the beginning, the story starts as a simple survival story about having to scavenge but takes a more interesting twist once Lunar and Little Will find their way into a military bunker.

About me

hello, hello! Name’s Kleemiya but I go by Yuugei as well. I use she/her and live in the BST timezone (so I’m british)
As of releasing this, I will still be a year 9 student but for most of the planning period, I will be a GCSE student! (hopefully I will be doing photography, french, comp sci and music tech) My favourite subject is comp sci.

One of the things that I enjoy doing is reading! My favourite genres are fantasy and sci-fi, however, I still read other genres like mystery. Two of my favourite books are The Wheel of time series and Last dragon on Mars (also a series). Most of the books I read though, are more on the niche/obscure side of things, e.g. Crookhaven, Licanius trilogy. Other books that I do enjoy is the skandar series, Percy Jackson, The hunger games and so on. I am taking book recommendations as of now.

Secondly, talking about getting a little more physical, while I do not like sports in general. I do like one sport, which is climbing. As of now, I am still currently doing NICAS level 3. I like climbing as it involves some logic and thinking, which most sports do not. Well, PE also happens to be my least favourite subject.

Some of the other things that I enjoy (but perhaps do less) include photography and playing video games. I don’t usually play first person shooter games by the way. My favourite type of photography is nature, especially flowers.

Cabin preferences

For my first choice of cabin, This cabin idea is inspired by the app idea and mix of Wuling city (from Arknights Endfleid). Potential genres that could work for this cabin is solarpunk/utopian. This cabin is a Wheel of time and arknights cabin.
The idea of this cabin is that the city (let’s name it Rhuidean for now) is supported by the tree , Avendesora, as it is located in a desert surrounded with dangers (let’s call them the blight for now). All is peaceful as the community survives in harmony. Until one day, the arrival of a ta’veren (important people basically) shakes things up. A breach appears, allowing the blight to enter. Campers are recruited to help investigate the ta’veren and the breach (as Avendesora is perfectly fine). In the meantime, campers get to enjoy the city while finding clues. Potentially finding new leads. (The aesthetics of the city are slightly more leaning into wuling but still has inspiration from Rhuidean). (I’m willing to discuss things over with my coleaders if I get chosen).

My second cabin preference (which I will describe more briefly), is one that I’m kinda returning from my previous app, involves dragons and spaceships. This cabin’s genre is likely science fantasy/sci-fi/fantasy and is inspired by The dragonships series. In this cabin, campers are spilt into 3 dragon crews as they have to face an unknown threat. The campers will have to navigate carefully to form alliances and find a way to defeat the dragon. (This one has more room for discussion.)

if I don’t get to be a leader, then I would be fine with just about any cabin there is except for horror and romance, because I don’t like reading/writing those genres so much.
As for the matter with tctwnw, if I’m a leader I would rather not have a tctwnw cabin. However, if I don’t get the chance to be a leader, I will be fine with tctwnw (but less preferred).

Cabin atmosphere

Peace has been disturbed…. Step into a once peaceful city, where the stakes are high. Driven by story with competitiveness. The city welcomes and needs you.

I will try to foster and maintain this atmosphere by encouraging campers. What I mean by this is potentially posting gentle, friendly reminders and cabin currency. Since this a more story driven and competitive cabin, cabin currency could be used to buy hints and cabin merch (e.g pfps, banners). These currencies would be earned from doing story related tasks and activities like dailies. Even with this, It still will be fun, chaotic and silly.

Enjoy a relaxing and fun experience, memories forged for life and friendships created to last an eternity. Come and join us all!

I will try to maintain this cabin atmosphere by going with a more relaxed storyline and atmosphere, encouraging people to chat with people. Examples of activities include icebreaker activities, or fun roleplay activities. storyline reminders here will be less frequent to encourage a more relaxed time.

Experience (previous participation)

Compared to most people, I’m still rather on the newer side of SWCers so I won’t have so much SWC experience, having just reached my 1st year SWC anniversary last session. In all of the sessions I have participated in so far, I have only been a camper.

Expanding to scratch in general, I do indeed have leadership experience. I am (technically) a former community helper, having been a SDS helper and scratch week curator. These roles require helping others which is a part of a SWC (co)leader(in my opinion). so I can safely say I have some experience with leadership. Additionally, I believe that I am a good reviewer and so would be able to provide feedback.

Moving onto real life, I still merit some writing and leadership experience. In real life, most of my writing experience comes from lessons but it doesn't mean I don’t enjoy it (more explained somewhere else about that). In my current class, I think I am one of the better writers.

For my leadership experience in real life, firstly, (This might seem a bit silly) I have planned quite a few parties with my friends, with one having collaborated with my friend. In that situation, I had to navigate and compromise on some things. Secondly, I’m a digital leader at my current school and my previous (along with music at my previous) which, I suppose, accounts to something.

Time management and dedication
Time dedication

As it is towards the end of the school year, I am rather more free and I think I should be able to dedicate 1-1 & half hours. During the planning period(& the camp session), I will be starting to work on my GCSEs and might be slightly busy. However, there are some days where I might be less active. I am a human and am not exactly the most reliable when it comes to this stuff.

Overally, there aren't many days where I won’t be so active. On June 5th though, I am going to a birthday party with my friends and so won’t have very much activity.

Time management

During this period, I will manage my time wisely. Or at least, try to. Rather unfortunately, Time management is one of my weaker skills but I would like to improve it. So, I definitely would say that I suffer from procrastination issues and similar.

Talking about deadlines, I would say that I generally do better with tighter deadlines as I am more likely to actually complete the task. With more relaxed deadlines, I have a higher chance of forgetting it. However, I usually remember to complete the task I needed to do.
On the other hand, I wouldn’t say that I always do work or something productive, having breaks is important! This means that I maintain a balance of break and work.

Communication & accountability

Well, I consider myself to be “not bad, but also not brilliant” at communication with team members. Online, I don’t usually get nervous so I wouldn’t be not responding due to being too nervous. (Although, since I haven’t been on the leadership team before, I might be more nervous). This means that I would be willing to talk with fellow leaders about things.
However, my reliability on responding is not good. I do end up missing on responding to messages sometimes so you might have to message twice to get me to respond.
Furthermore, I think that I would be rather willing to share ideas with people, but I do sometimes try to push for my idea to happen rather than someone else’s (hoping to try to do something about it),

To be honest, I had to search “what is accountability exactly”. So already off to a bad start with my accountability. Since, I never knew what it was before, I can’t really say much. Looking back though, I believe that I have taken the ownership of having done something before. Although, never really experienced it in a more team situation before, perhaps I did so without realizing it and forgot about it. For now, it is more of a clean slate and something to make sure I have and be able to actually use it.

Scenario

Scenario A - “You and the other members of the leadership have different ideas of the cabin atmosphere. How would you address this?”

My first potential solution would be to try to come to a compromise. What I exactly mean by this is that The chosen cabin atmosphere would have inspiration from everyone’s idea of cabin atmosphere. However, we would likely have to have tight communication over what parts of the cabin atmosphere should be inspired by them (e.g. one person may want one part to be inspired by theirs while another person may want their part for the same part). This may not be a perfect solution as people could get annoyed with each other. On the other hand, it would mean everyone could still have their idea for the cabin atmosphere present. This would mean everyone would be included.

My second solution to this would be being democratic and holding a vote to pick the idea. I would make sure to ban voting for your own one to prevent fellow team members from just voting for themselves. The winner of the vote will be the cabin atmosphere (slight edits may happen). One thing that I especially don’t like about this solution is that other team members may feel left out and unrepresented. This would make some people unhappy as they could feel like they are “the third wheel” which is why I don’t particularly like this one. An advantage of this one is that it would mean discussions could be more calmer and less arguing would happen.

SWC impact

Impact, impact, impact. It is quite important, how else are we supposed to remember things?

To me, SWC has a positive impact, the friendly community, the chaos of cabin wars (or in general ) which are all something to remember. It also helped me like writing a lot more than I did before and I enjoy the creative writing tasks in lessons now ! SWC has impacted me by its rather fun activities (even if I haven’t done much of the activities), which I enjoyed doing. So yes, SWC has impacted me positively.

So now, how exactly do I plan to do this? Sure, doing what others have done, but that won’t exactly work. To have as big of an impact as possible, the experience should be unique and memorable. To have a positive impact, it needs to be filled with friendship and happiness. To that, I have a few ways of attempting for a positive impact.

One way could be from having more unique and engaging storyline activities. This would be anything that is unique and fun. Sure, it could take inspiration from others but it should shine among a sea of stars. Such examples of this include mini cabin wars (which is something that usually has the biggest impact in my opinion), or perhaps a mystery within a mystery. Or just fun and silly activities in general.
Another way for a positive impact would be making online friends that genuinely care for you. Having icebreaker activities that help people find others with similar interests. Making sure that everyone’s interests is welcome here and none will be laughed at.
Tying this in towards the unique storyline activities point, perhaps putting everyone’s favourite interests onto a wheel and picking one. Either way, I’m sure I will be able to give a positive impact.
