Do NOT add AI to Scratch — #NoAIOnScratch
If you don’t like that then just don’t share it on scratch.it litterly is about how its gonna use OUR coding/sprites without credit and we cant do anything about itPlease stop spreading misinformation. A single moderator's words were misinterpreted and it is false that the moderators were not informed about the ToS.so your saying this whole information is false and scratch ai is never gonna get added?
So you're saying the ToS is about adding AI? The ToS is a reflection of having to shift our policies with the times and current legal frameworks, are we supposed to bury our heads in the sand and ignore it, meanwhile 5,000 AI startups are continuously skimming all publicly shared projects multiple times a day?

I meant the AI thingJust a little question… who made this decision? And did everyone in Scratch Team initially agree on it?
What decision are you talking about? A single person did not make this decision, stop spreading lies about how the “Scratch Team” has no power, or somehow wasn't involved in the decision. The Team is part of that decision making process, _by definition_.
Yes and so did I.

Don't take my post for granted yet unless you're codubeePlease stop spreading misinformation. A single moderator's words were misinterpreted and it is false that the moderators were not informed about the ToS.so your saying this whole information is false and scratch ai is never gonna get added?

So you're saying the TOS was only changed because external A.I. from other corporations can train off projects from the Scratch website?
80% of the people on this forum are only casual readers, and are probably under the age for good enough reading comprehension, most of us need an answer as direct as possible, instead of it being jumbled in slices between the lines. if it's not direct enough, people will get confused and keep complaining about “AI being added to Scratch”.
You could have said:
“We have only made way for AI in the TOS becuase AI from other corporations can visit and train of the website, we don't plan on adding AI yet”

Yes, leading questions that have misinformation/misleading info built into them.
Almost every “question” I've seen in this thread is of the “have you stopped stealing food from your family?” type.
I'm responding to _everyone_ in this thread because of the massive volume of misinformed our outright misinformation being posted. Apologies if you, in particular, did not add to this.

What if codubee quoted my previous post to give a proper answer to everyone? There are high stakes of the community's backlash, a direct answer could clear this mess up.

#3093Thanks. Can you please tell us what you think about the potential new CLA and this video? https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/youtube/tGwu-7jTeaY/ Also, what if Scratch Team members protested against this AI?

Also: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/post/9012972 https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/post/9011912 https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/post/9013687
I think this shows the exact ways that the Scratch Team has explored new ideas over the years, many of which were iterated on to make them into the system you see today, and many more that did not. The only way we can find good ideas is to try a lot out of ideas, and then iterate and iterate and iterate.
Oh, and, I'd like to point out that video is showing work that is now over 8 months old. It's also not showing lots of other work that has been getting iterated on as well.
