I have the terrain generators set that way.(I'm using modern beta.)

It's definitely worth it, here are the pros (at least on Xbox 360)
• A nicer tint to the screen
• Tutorial worlds with secrets and more
• Good UI sounds
• Mash-up packs, skin packs, and minigames (depends)
• Extremely customizable worlds

I mean… Aren't all the console mashups/skin packs available on the Bedrock marketplace outside of console? Some of the texture packs from console got updated to later versions as well.
