Just wondering.

You need to be on Scratch for a minimum of 2 weeks and post at least 2 projects. You also have to be active in the community.

I mean like, how long it actually takes, because most New Scratchers I know have been on for way more than two weeks even if they have met all those requirements.

that's maybe because they posted some stuff not appropriate for scratch, or got their projects rated nfe
it shouldn't take too long though. the st is very busy, after all.

Keep in mind moderator actions don't have any bearing on this, the scratcher promotion system is completely automatic.

Oh wow that's a long time. I've been a New Scratcher for a month.

I honestly forgot how long it took my main acc to promote, but I'll guess it was 4-5 weeks. I know for a fact my alt (this account) took a nice 7-8 months because I basically didn't do anything on it for quite some time.

I became a Scratcher like 3 months after making an account, so I can relate.

I didn't interact with the community much during my early years on Scratch, so I got the notification to become a Scratcher about 9 months after I made my account. (I didn't know anything about the ranks, so I wasn't actively trying to get it.)

I don't really remember, but I think for me it was like 1-3 months (that or over a year bc I might have forgot about scratch for a bit i dont really remember)

no, i know someone who posts projects with a lot of code and many projects that are appropriate. Has been a new scratcher for months now and nothings changed. how do you explain that?

The minimum time to wait is 2 weeks. But, sometimes some people were Scratchers after a month, if I ain't wrong….

in the first 3 months i was a new scratcher since i didn't have a new email but around 2 weeks

Me? Six months, but I think because most of the time I didn't have my email confirmed. Once my email was confirmed, it took me like 2 months
