i found a game by @MajesticPie (I forget the name, it was long) that said “EPILEPSY WARNING” and i didn't know what that meant, so i asked my dad and he said not to play that game because it could cause seizures (i don't know what those are, but i was on a train once and a person had a seizure, so i know something about what they are) and i wondered if the Scratch Team (ST) should allow that. what are your thoughts?

PS. the game had lights flashing in random places, which i probably the reason MajesticPie gave the warning

I think they should allow it only if the viewer is warned via title/description.

Games/projects like this with warnings are technically allowed. If the project is intended to cause seizures, then maybe not. If it's too intense for you, then you should probably report it.

As bright flashing colours can only trigger seizures in specific people who probably know what the warning means, I think this is the fairest and safest method.

Yeah… Warning them would be the safest method. And I think that would be considered NFE.

A warning is the wisest thing.

I can't but my finger on it, but it just seems like it wouldn't be possible to cause a seizure through a Scratch project. I guess I'll take your word for it.

I could be wrong, but I think it's photosensitive epilepsy sufferers who get seizures from that.

@dougqwerty , your dad doesn't know what he is talking about. Unless you have Epilepsy, then it will NOT cause seizures. Epilepsy is a disorder that causes seizures without having an injury in your brain. If you have photosensitive Epilepsy, then you can have a seizure from that. Even if you just had plain Epilepsy without photosensitive Epilepsy, then you will NOT have a seizure from that (I think).

You beat me to that, but yes, that's correct.
On the topic, as long as the project states it can trigger Epilepsy, its fine.
