I know it’s probably out of range for this year, but I believe changing the navbar to blue is a rather easy and funny change that won’t really affect anybody.

Ah yes so since there was no laws for 10 years back in the past, removing laws for one day should be fine. Not to mention color chang prevented them from getting sued. Why change the color for one day only anyways? It's a waste of time and effort that could be better spent on other more pressing issues and objectives that the scratch team has. And purple is a better color anyways.

Sure it was. Increased visibility means that more people are able to use Scratch. Changing the website to be more accessible is pretty major.

seems a bit cruel to disregard visually impaired people by making links purple which makes them LESS visible for certain colorblind people. additionally for some people the purple theme is even harder to see than the blue. maybe they should just have website themes rather than forcing one design on everyone, since what helps one person is worse for another

If I’m understanding the OP correctly, the joke is to trick people into thinking the navbar has changed to blue again and cause confusion. Some people might find that funny.
