The UKOM-Lumenia war lasted from 1083 to 9879. It started when Lumenia attacked the galaxy cluster HGX 454. Lumenia eventually collapsed at only 384 pop at the end of the war.

First part of the war (1083-2673):

Just before the start of the war, UKOM and Lumenia were enemies due to UKOM's market was nearly overpowering Lumenia's and it was very socialist while Lumenia was very capitalist. So, in 1083, Lumenia attacked the galaxy cluster HGX 454 with 128 billion soldiers. UKOM defended it with 84 billion, but Lumenia won and annexed it. At this point, Ottaria became neutral in the war. The next year (1084), UKOM reclaimed it with 146 billion soldiers. So Lumenia kept on attacking small parts of UKOM from 1084-1089 and annexing them.

Middle part of the war (2673-6797):

In 6736, UKOM destroyed 1% of Lumenia's land, at the edge of it, with lasers. Despite it being at the edge, 7% of Lumenia's produce was made there. Over the next 50 years, Lumenia responded by sending every intelligent lifeform they could find (about 34 quintillion) in the unclaimed universe Kasrikh 443 to dangerous mines to mine radioactive metals. Lumenia stopped doing this in 6797, marking the end of the middle part of the war.

Later part of the war (6797-9879):

The start of the 6800s started with not much action due to Lumenia had a famine and UKOM was a bit in shock from Lumenia in the 6700s. However, in 6872, Lumenia vaporized 15% of UKOM's population with masses of lasers, vaporizers, and every other weapon Lumenia had at the time, as well as sending every fungus in Lumenia to giant prisons. However this came with a cost to Lumenia, as due to Lumenia in 6872, Ottaria and Altari finally turned against Lumenia. Soon after, in 6899, Ottaria started attacking Lumenia. At that point it had grown a lot, so it was only a little bit smaller than Lumenia. It also knew a lot about the inner workings of Lumenia's government. Lumenia started to fall at the battle of calacari, in 6902, when 938 billion Lumenian soldiers fell to just 386 billion fungal soldiers and 56 billion otters.
From 6903-7262, 186 trillion fungal, cephalopodian, altarian, ottarian, and AESAn troops fought 142 trillion lumenian troops over the universe Saltrix A. Lumenia lost and UKOM gained a lot of land that surrounded a large lumenian colony, so this battle marked a important victory for UKOM.
In revenge, in 7263, Lumenia invaded the land that the Meccera owned before it was invaded by UKOM. It fell easily, marking the first victory for Lumenia in the 7000s.

The Union of Socialist States is a alliance formed on the 23 of July 2487 consisting of the United Kingdom of Mushrooms, the Aesan Empires of the Star of Aesa II, and the Republic of Cephalopods as the side in the UKOM-Lumenian war opposing Lumenia. It de facto existed from 1083, but was only formed in 2487.
