But turning off hardcore makes the game less entertaining

I'm not really sure if there's a way other than modding.

There really is no way to do this. You can, however, make backups of the world.

You could use an NBT editor. Just search it up.

I'm pretty sure spectator doesn't start with an H

so they probably meant hardcore (which is not a gamemode.)

It turns into spectator mode when you die, and not deleted.

One time I saw a creeper get struck by lightning naturally and become a charged creeper, but that was in my first survival world when I knew nothing about the game, so I thought nothing of it until later when I realized lightning is rare, and blue creepers are bad.

Never mind, i am NOT doing a hardcore world, because for some reason my laptop is super laggy on singleplayer worlds and with the first 5 minutes my game CRASHED

i once read about charged creepers in a licenced fiction book and i thought they were part of the story universe
