Notify When Quoted

when somebody quotes you in a forum post, you get a notification. if you say something in a post, but you want to be notified only when you're quoted this would be helpful. right now the only option is to be notified when ANYONE posts, which can clog up inboxes really fast, especially if the topic is busy

i have grown up. please ignore all of my posts from before 2022. they don't represent the way i am at all

Due to the way that the forum structure works, this suggestion simply is not possible to add. Even if it was possible, there would be a very high possibility of getting spammed with unwanted notifications. The technical issues and the potential for abuse make this feature rather impractical. If you want to stay updated on a certain topic, you can always follow the topic and get notified for new posts that are made.
