Verifications and badges

The should be Verified people in scratch and there also should be badges, like, give the verifications to important people in the community, like griffpatch, and also badges for people who made some big contributions to the community, but decided not to go further, like the people who got featured. plz add this to scratch, and if you were to add it, plz dont ruin it with greedy intentions like twitter did.

As said above by Crispydogs101, this is rejected.
Probably because — Verifications would basically cause chaos, given to people or not, not everyone would like it as it'd show a “priority over users” factor. We have a * (star) to indicate whether someone is in ST and that's enough I think.
Plus — Badges would just be ‘FINALLY I GOT THE BADGEEE’, not really worth adding.
I don't think these would be beneficial for Scratch.
