It makes it so that if a new player finds suspicious sand or gravel or a trail ruin while exploring the overworld then they, once they look through it and dig suspicious sand and get nothing, they just so happen to have the brush and just so happen to brush things off on the suspicious blocks and make the conscious decision to do so –
What I'm trying to say is that it feels like for the archeology system it doesn't encourage you to figure things out on your own, you have to go online.

I feel like the archeology system needs better loot than just some pottery shards, maybe they should add a banner pattern or smth
