I think Pink (from Everhood) and Llewellyn have a lot of stuff in common (mainly being pink deities from pixelated 2.5d indie games whose sprites are mostly/just lineart) but would Not get along well

Also WHY CAN I DRAW PINK. BUT NOT LLEWELLYN. LITERALLY I WAS HESITANT TO SHARE THIS EBCAUSE LLEWELLYN LOOKS SO BAD

i'm actually kind of surprised that you liked interrobang so much– metal isn't really my best genre and i'm still not entirely confident in my singing ;^;

Literally the only way I tell music genres apart is from the band names and that only works with like. Metallica and Woodland

well, it sounds great! i'm listening to it again now, and it's very metal, i think you did really well on it! i don't really listen to metal, but it really has those metal vibes. it's hardcore and aggressive, and it feels very antagonistic (in a good way, that's what gives it metal vibes). it fits with the darkness and nihilism in the ending lyrics, and i feel like the style and lyrics together really give me a good idea of what this interrobang quizly is like! (as a side note, i like the calmer instrumental in the middle, it's a good respite from the intense metal. it gives me red hot chili peppers vibes!)

as for the singing, i never realized it was a human voice because of the filters on it, but i can definitely see that now. it has personality and subtler elements that you generally wouldn't get from a vocaloid-type synthetic voice. (while i never realized before that the voice wasn't synthetic, i do remember wondering how you made the voice shift in pitch like that! i could tell it was more like singing than the normal quizly tts.)

I really like it because it's not only really melodic, but also full of deep meaning and it's easy to sing once you learned the metric.

not sure if this counts as a horror trope, but when a character gets sent to a mirror world where everything is similar, even perfect, but just not right
i also like the concept of shapeshifting monsters that lurk among the crowd, pretending to be human/whatever species is relevant

random stuff:

if defiant chaos were to have a swearing contest, the winner would be a close tie between alpha and flec

llewellyn is just the pure embodiment of chaotic neutral

i still have yet to come up with a good excuse for why bat can't fly– maybe she just doesn't want to
speaking of her i feel bad for what i'm putting her through i wanna give her a hug

bat is basically a spin on the mute blank protagonist trope– she originally was a generic blank slate character but she slowly developed a personality of her own (i never bothered to give her a better name though ~hj)

zee and alpha's designs came from me just randomly doodling whatever came to mind– zee in particular is just an amalgamation of different things i was into at the time (hollow knight, pokemon, undertale). i literally do not know the thought process behind alpha i just kind of drew her and said “yeah that's cool”

flec came much later when i really started to get how the world of zephyr star works but not entirely– i still feel like i made him too humanoid

when i do worldbuilding i like to think of it like i'm learning more about the world and i'm like a researcher trying to figure out how everything falls into place–

designing monsters is so fun

i mean, it looks to me like bat's wings are simply too small to carry her. consider the size of irl bat wings—it takes big wings in proportion to a creature's size. you can also look into how big of wings a human would need to fly, it's significantly larger than bat's seem to be.

i love when silent protagonists have little things that give them personality without voice. i feel like that kind of stuff is lacking with a lot of mute protagonists, so i'm excited to see how you handle it!

oo, interesting! i'm not sure how similar or different my approach is, but i've found i like to build a strong foundation (ex. history, geography, facts/science/rules of the world) and figure things out based on the history and facts i've created. it's fun to see things fall into place! is that similar at all?
