Scratchers on India might need a new language for them. Presumably Hindi, because it's amongst one of the most popular languages on India. So, please add Hindi.

Remember that all languages in the “Languages” tab are spelled in that language. So, “Spanish” is spelled “Español” because it is Spanish in Spanish.

There is no Hindi, from what I saw. I can't read Hindi text (I only speak english, french, and a sliver of greek), but from translating there only seems to be Tamil, which afaik is a language in India, but I'm not sure. I should look that up later.

afaik tamil is in the philippines along with telugu and english

Definitely support, as all people should be able to access scratch, and there are a lot of people who speak hindi.

I felt sad when I checked that there was no option of Hindi language. Even it is most spoken language in India.

There are more than 500 million people who speak Hindi in India.

Also, a scratcher told me @SavetheAtlantic that Scratch uses Transifex for their translation and that supports Hindi! Here you can check https://explore.transifex.com/llk/scratch-website/

And also my discussion topic was closed yesterday because it was duplicate but it does not make sense to close my highly active topic.

This is quite insulting. Hopefully scratch team don't close this topic of someone else, by saying that it is a duplicate topic.

Topics that are suggesting something another topic is already suggesting get closed, because it helps maintain space. It doesnt make sense to have 2 different topics suggesting the same thing when you could just have 1 topic

the scratch team rarely implements suggestions from the suggestions forum, unfortunately.

I definitely agree. I don't speak Hindi myself, only Telugu, but Hindi is pretty much the most commonly spoken Indian language. There are much more Indian scratchers here, at least more than there used to be in the 2000s, so it's too bad they didn't add Hindi. They don't HAVE to add all the other regional languages like Assamese or Dogri or Kannada or Bengali or Telugu or Malyalam or whatever, but they could at LEAST add Hindi. I hope they update it soon.

Edit: Nvm, Kannada is there. But you get the point.

Wait, there's no Hindi? I remember seeing a bengali option(which I can read) but not hindi? Though I cannot read hindi, there are way more people who speak hindi than people who speak bengali. I support. This could help
