AspectOS™ - The Future Starts Here [SHUTTING DOWN AT 9 PM EST]
okayThisAnnouncement!]And thats the date when silencioverse is reborn
On August 20, I will share a copy of AspectOS v2.0. It is not finished so therefore, there will be bugs and there will be unfinished things. It is not the final product things are subject to change when the final result is released.
Why am I doing this? Well, I want everybody to know how AspectOS v2.0 is doing so far and I want the team to understand the code and what we need to do.
Another Announcement!
v2.0 of the website will release by the end of August hopefully. If not, then early September. I need time to work on this. Maybe 10-20 days? It should be done before September 10th though
Anyways coolWhat happened(#4817)i mean, i'm fine with it.Oh frrrrrr-(#4813)btw, i saw the wiki chat log.Announcement!Alrighty then!

(#4811)Anyone up for suggestions?(#4810)So then we'd have to make it so that you can only drag it from the top. But how do we do that?~semi-snip~Dang, it, I totally forgot about that. I was thinking about that for vacation but then I forgot.(#4803)why don't you just make it so that if you click on the fulllscreen button, it goes fullscreen?
So I am in a pickle for AspectOS. The reason being with windows. I don't know if I want a fullscreen window or not. I want to use costumes for the windows and if I have the draggable windows, they will be small in size and won't be able to go fullscreen.
We can find a way to troubleshoot this and I know we will, but right now I think it's best to go the easy way and then work on our final version afterward.
I forgot a lot of things about AspectOS over the summer. But now I remember
I can start making the dragging part for the windows (I'm going to use a sprite, no pen), all i need is a design for the sprite costumes.
I also borrowed an encoding engine from @IGABMS.
For the windows, I use a method for dragging the windows at the top of the window, just like when you drag a window by the top for a browser.
We'd need an engine for stretching the windows too. It probably needs to sync with the mouse.(btw, i found a pen-based click detector system by a friend i know. Maybe that can help with the window dragging and expanding problems?)

Will we be using the pen for this? If so, I think we should try to find a way to not stretch out that top bar and only stretch three of the sides of the window. If that one window is unaffected, then dragging it won't be that difficult. We could also use Nezon's pen engine for this type of stuff since you can drag it around and stretch it out (I think)

EDIT: for the first link i put (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/675558483/), here's how it works:
Instructions: Hover in the boxes.
What is it? *YooEngine* is a tool built for detecting mouse events within a given set of coordinates.
What you get:
1. Basic rendering engine (advanced version coming soon)
2. Support for detecting mouse hover and click(ing)
We can use this for the windows

(#4826)We could use this combined with Nezon's pen window engine and kkidslogin's window customization engine. Nezon's engine makes the windows draggable, so there's an easy fix. this can detect hovering and clicking within the perimeter of the pen boxes, so that's a good fix too. And kkidslogin's engine let's us customize the windows so that it feels original to the OS. But what about expanding the windows? Maybe we can make an engine for that?someone's creation for a project of mine. I think this link can help with the save code task.Yes, we'll be using pen because of

Making them fullscreen? Hmm… is there a way to modify some of the code in two of the pen engines to make it bigger when something is pressed? If so, then we can try to see if that can be an option. If that isn't an option, then we will have to do it ourselves and try to develop a fullscreen button for the window.

So far, I have finished the support page for the website! Of course, there are some flaws with it like how there is a tiny space where you can scroll but it is only a couple of pixels. But I think that is it.

I don't know.
I was thinking we do experiments to see if we can merge all of them into one, and then call it “Pen Playhouse” or something like that. Of course, we will give credit but it will be our own open-source engine for OSes.
Weird thought though. I keep overthinking things.

I am, it is more customizable and has coyote frames to improve draggability. If you're wondering about performance, one window on my laptop that performs worse than an intel PC from 2006 (I have the AMD CPU) and regularly takes longer than 10 seconds to load a wepage- one window runs lag-free. It also looks better with certain styles, such as rounded corners.Nice. everyone's talking about code and I most likely won't understand a thing of it

It should be good. When in doubt, use rounded corners, as that draws fewer lines.I am, it is more customizable and has coyote frames to improve draggability. If you're wondering about performance, one window on my laptop that performs worse than an intel PC from 2006 (I have the AMD CPU) and regularly takes longer than 10 seconds to load a wepage- one window runs lag-free. It also looks better with certain styles, such as rounded corners.Nice. everyone's talking about code and I most likely won't understand a thing of it
ah well, time to get back to making music I guess(#4831)We need all the scripts to cooperate with each other. how do we do that?(#4828)The project i was mentioning can do this in pen.-snip a little-
Making them fullscreen? Hmm… is there a way to modify some of the code in two of the pen engines to make it bigger when something is pressed? If so, then we can try to see if that can be an option. If that isn't an option, then we will have to do it ourselves and try to develop a fullscreen button for the window.
alright then! All we need to do is fuse all of the three projects we will be using into one
I don't know.
I was thinking we do experiments to see if we can merge all of them into one, and then call it “Pen Playhouse” or something like that. Of course, we will give credit but it will be our own open-source engine for OSes.
Weird thought though. I keep overthinking things.
Y'all do realize I haven't had time to actually work on my pen window engine right? Maybe I can begin to expand the TackSoft engine today.
Please do.
Okay.
So performance will be great for the windows then, right?
Alright then! That's good since most of the Scratch community is on school computers and they are mostly Chromebooks and performance for Chromebooks… well, it's not bad but it's also not good

This laptop is defenitely slower than a chromebook, and it's running Windows 10, which doesn't help.It should be good. Should I add a “Filled Mode” at some point so we can also use it for the taskbar/sidebar/app dock, as well as other things?
