Some people say that erasers are the best objects to ever be created. Some say that erasers are even better than pencils. And some say that… erasers die from human mistakes. We do not DIE we become smaller pieces. Now that we’ve got that straight I can tell you about myself. I am white with rainbow hair. Yes, you’ve guessed it, I am a corny little unicorn eraser. I bet your thinking my life would be pretty dull. (DULL- get it XD) but when I am not being used I live in the world of inanimate objects. It is an easy life in eraser town, where I happen to be ranked as a two, thank you. We each have little stone and wood huts. Inside are beds, tables, chairs, and even TVs! The huts are lined up all the way to the ring of shops that surround the lovely fountain at the center of our town. My best buddy is the governor of our town, he is a number one. We here are ranked by numbers one being the rulers and governors, six being servants. I am a two, meaning I am a well used eraser. When the work is done us erasers head to the town center for dances and festivals. In the day we watch over the humans and fix their mistakes. I live, in the daytime, in the house of a six year old. Her name is Doty. Doty likes to draw… a lot. How am I we’ll used, you ask? Because Doty feels the need to ERASE EVERYTHING SHE DRAWS! In the human world, I probably look like a grey blob to anyone who sees me. Doty’s mother and father avoid me, because I used to have the scent of cupcakes, but now the scent is mixed with pencil. That is why I’ve decided to make a petition called: ‘We are not mistakes, we are hero’s.’ I will get all the erasers to sign it and then we can stop over worked erasers! Help sign it today!
If you walk into my house, the first two doors you see will have a door knob. One door leads to a closet, the other a bathroom. I will describe the bathroom doorknob. The doorknob has a black coating on it, though it is starting to chip. It’s a simple doorknob with no designs on it. The white door it is attached to is usually open. The scent of it varies, depending on the current soap being used. Some days you may find it slightly damp, others dripping with water, and on a good day, you would find it perfectly dry and shining after a recent wipe from a cloth. If it hasn’t been washed for awhile you will find little fingerprints on it. It will have specks of dust and smudges running across it. It’s twin on the other side of the door has a lock where the front would have a keyhole. You can always here a scraping sound when the lock turns to give the person privacy. Sometimes you can see a bit of crayon or glue on the doorknob because of the crafty kids in the house. The doorknob matches every other doorknob on the first floor, excluding fingerprints and such. The doorknob is needing new screws, but that doesn’t matter, as long as it works. The doorknob may look cheap, or insignificant, but it is the most used doorknob in the whole house. Never ever judge a book by its cover.
The three sectors fight an everlasting battle. Cookies and cream attack from the north, Strawberry from the east, and Chocolate from the south. Each fight to claim the west, but the battle seems endless. The cookies and cream have the advantage of creativity and technology. The strawberries have the advantage of size. Chocolate has the advantage of strength.
Cookies and cream
The war is really harsh here. Those of us with working limbs go to factories to craft weapons and technology, the others sit in offices trying to create prototypes for new weapons. The strong men go out to battle. Most don’t survive. With it being autumn now we know what’s going to happen. Those with nimble fingers have already begun crafting coats and blankets for the harsh winter ahead of us. Children in school are taught only math, science, and geography, and in their spare time they craft bullets for pellet guns. Pellet guns are used to train male high schoolers for war. Those who can spend all their free time with their family, saying their goodbyes. Nobody returns from war. Never. So when 19 year old Quinton Clemt returns everyone is surprised. It was near impossible for the Clemt family to believe. His younger sister was always in awe at the arm that had been lost to war. He was her hero. If only she knew the number of people he had killed.
Strawberry
The city of the east is massive. Towering skyscrapers filled with people just the size. It was massive at least. The cookies and cream shot a massive explosion into our capital, wrecking everything. Everyone is set on getting the new territory to rebuild. Is rebuilding worth losing half the population, though? Every citizen wrestles with the thoughts every night, but each waits, faithful to their leader. They need a treaty, they all know it, but more than that, they need a new ruler. They need someone to step up. Sophie Dashen contemplated every night, weighing the highs and the lows, and trying to figure out how.
Chocolate
Chocolate is a boot camp for everyone old enough. Starting at age 5 and forward you train to be a soldier. The environments are harsh, whether it's sleeping out in the rain or training all day. The training was set up in a ring, the office in the middle bunk rooms on either side of that, washrooms on either side of that, and a kitchen on one side, mess hall on the other. At age 18 if you don't have kids you're shipped off to war. Each person is required to serve 6 years of service. The soldiers can be heard marching to the west all day, everyday. Many soldiers die on the trip to, and no one makes it back…

Margaret sat on the side of the road, trying to see how far she could throw the rocks. Her blond hair looked white as it shined on her head and a slight breeze rustled her dress. She focused on the rock and closed her eyes. With a mighty toss, she threw the rock with all her might, and when she opened her eyes… nothing. She groaned and stood up, wiping her hands on her dress. She shielded her eyes from the sun and saw that it was evening, and the sun was setting. She headed up the road and continued until she made it to her family's house. Inside she could hear pans clattering and the chatter of her 3 younger siblings. She tried to open the door and quickly realized it was locked. She debated knocking on the door but knew no one inside would hear. She walked around to the back of the 2 story house to where the apple tree was and started climbing up to her shared room. She knew mama hated when she did it and messed up her hair. The shared room was split into four corners. They each had a bed in each corner, shelves above their heads, and a small spot where they could put one thing of their choosing. Margaret had chosen a vanity with built in drawers for her clothes and few containers of makeup. When she got to her room she took the heavily used hairbrush off the table and began brushing her hair quickly. She then proceeded to change her dress and wash her face with the bucket of water near the door. She took one last look in the mirror before heading down the stairs and seeing a fort set up at the table. It was uninhabited and as the oldest and most responsible child, she went to pick it up and set the table for dinner. She could smell something delicious wafting out from the kitchen but she couldn’t place her finger on what it was. She peeked in and saw her favorite, fresh caught salmon. The salmon was nothing special, but what came with it was amazing.
“Where’s my magical daughter?”
She ran out of that kitchen as quickly as my legs could take me. The face she saw made her teal eyes light up and she went to hug her father. “Papa! Your back!”
“I promised I would, didn’t I?” The kind man said, his eyes crinkling with delight. The only response he got was Margaret burying her head in his shirt. Suddenly, many other little voices were heard, chanting the same thing.
“Papa! Papa! Papa!” The 3 youngest cried. He got up and hobbled over to give them all a big hug.
“Ooh, I missed you all!” He said and he held one hand behind his back. “But I got you some gifts!”
The three squealed with delight as he pulled out a pirate ship, race car, and doll.
“Dinner time!” Mama called and the three dropped their toys and rushed to the table.
“I got you this too.” Papa said quietly, pulling out a necklace. It was beautiful, with swirls like the wind every few beads, and a gold piece at the very center, with her name engraved on it.
“I love it Papa,” she frowned as another thought hit her, “but how are you able to pay for this?” Her eyes searched his face as he put on a silly face.
“A magician never tells his secrets” and with that he pulled her away to the kitchen, somehow managing to clip the necklace on along the way.

Informative | Google, Apple, IBM and Microsoft
The top 4 most influential companies are Google, Apple, IBM, and Microsoft. But which one is the best? Each is popular but which is the MOST popular?
The founders of Google, Brin and Page, met as graduate students at Sanford University. They began working on Google from their college dorm, and soon released it as Alphabet Inc. It overtime became so popular they had to re-release it as a new, polished version.Soon Google was released and they slowly bought new applications to claim as Google’s. Google has grown to every household device, even buying a phone company. It offers almost every service available and has offices all over the world.
Apple is one of the worlds best technology companies. It offers phones, computers, and more! Apple is the largest information technology company by revenue ( totaling US $365.8 billion in 2021). Apple was founded on April 1, 1976 by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne to develop and sell Wozniak’s Apple I personal computer. Steve Jobs worked as a co-founder from his parents home. Jobs and Wozniak did some operations from there garage. Ever since Apple has been a success growing to cover phones, computers, and even TV’s! Apple plans to release even more as its technology advances into the future.
IBM is the leading American computer company. The company assumed its present name in 1924 under the leadership of Thomas Watson, a man of marketing skill who became general manager in 1914 and had gained complete control of the firm by 1924. Private businesses and even the government use IBM’s devices for their private work. In 1933 IBM purchased Electromatic Typewriters and entered the field of electric typewriters which soon became the industry leader. IBM helped in WW II by constructing multiple high speed electro-mechanical calculators that were the precursors of electronic computers. overtime IBM has developed to offer even more services, as well as the top computers.
Microsoft is best known for its software product, Microsoft Windows. Many people would recognize the Xbox which is owned by Microsoft, and almost every computer has Microsoft automatically on it. Xbox continues to grow, releasing new games, updates, and more! Microsoft is the worlds largest software maker by revenue as of 2016. Microsoft was founded by Bill Gates and Paul Allen on April 4, 1975, to develop and sell BASIC interpreters for the Altair 8800. It rose to popularity in the mid-1980’s. Ever since Microsoft has grown in power and popularity.
Each company has great things about it, and amazing products to choose from. I think Apple is the best company. Apple offers more, and is growing quicker than other companies seem to be able to. With the way Google seems to be growing, things could take a turn.
Book report | The Unwanteds
‘How does it feel to be eliminated?’ Every year on the annual day of the purge, 13 year olds gather around the amphitheater to see if they are wanted, necessary, or unwanted. The Wanteds are sent off to the finest universities to be educated in reading math and politics; the necessaries are taught to do hard labor for the wanteds such as grave digging, farming, or even delivering barrels of water; and unwanteds are sent to the death farm, to the boiling lake of oil, to their deaths. In a world where creativity is banned, it is hard to survive. 13 year old twins Alex and Aaron both just want to survive, but they will be sent on different paths, to die or survive. Both will strive for greatness, but only one can win. The Unwanteds is an amazing book with a wide range of characters. The author, Lisa McMann, pieces together an amazing storyline which continues six more books and into a side series, Unwanteds Quests. I’d recommend this book to anyone who can read, and every age range. The Unwanteds gives every reader someone to connect with, whether its friend or foe. Each character has a delightful personality that suits them perfectly, and contributes to the storyline just so. You’ll fall in love with Mr. Appleblossom’s beautiful poetry or Mr. Today’s calm demeanor. With a fair amount of humor the book always leaves you wondering, what comes next? An automatic five stars from me, and many others. Brilliant and shocking, just perfect. Lisa came up with the idea for The Unwanteds when her kids art classes were cut. She said to them, “I'm so sorry, kids. It kind of of feels like you're being punished for being creative. ”What if there really was world where children were punished for being creative?" She said it out loud, and her son said, “Not just punished, sent to their death!” How would kids get out of a situation like that? Once she added the secret, magical world to the story, she had a great adventure. It’s hard to hate this fun filled fantasy, especially once you meet the characters. Make sure to pop some popcorn, grab a blanket, and sit back for this fun filled adventure, because you wont be able to put it down!
