It is not downloading.I tried everything. HELP. I am forced to use 1.4 now, Scratch Team, Please help me.

it is just not downloading. I open it, and it crashes instantly. 2.0 and 1.4 still work, though

I don't think I'll know the answer to this, but just to check, for more information:
Are you trying to open scratch on a mobile device using an app, or is the website itself not working?
How are you trying to open scratch?
Where are you trying to “download” it from? Have you “downloaded” it from there before?

on computer, and it is not the website, its the app. 2.0, to be specific. It keeps crashing when i open the app after downloading.

I'm confused, the previous post said 2.0 still works?

Well then try obtaining a new installer file from the application author.
If that doesn't work. try the Microsoft Store version.

This comment from Scratch Team member cheddargirl might help answer your question… In short, unfortunately Windows XP is too old to support scratch, and only version 1.4 can be used.

Windows XP lost support from Microsoft 7 (slowly becoming 8) years ago. Please upgrade.

It's been out of support for almost 8 years.
This isn't a bug, this is fully intentional.
You should definitely update to Windows 10, or get a Mac, or Linux.

Oh, yikes, that's a super old OS system that's no longer supported. Only 1.4 will work for Windows XP systems. If you wish to use Scratch 2.0 or Scratch 3.0, you will unfortunately need to upgrade to at least Windows 8 or higher.

Will my new Windows 2000 Work?

Here's a list of which windows devices are compatible with different versions of scratch (take the link with a grain of salt—that page has not been updated in a little while). Unfortunately, I did some quick google searching and it still looks like the Windows 2000 will not work with 2.0 or 3.0 … sorry
