I used to use Safari, but then I switched to Chrome a while ago. But now apparently Chrome is really bad and I'm supposed to switch to firefox.

Feel free to message me on my profile if you need to tell me something/want someone to talk to.

Yeah, literally only 15% of people (That have a mac) can use this browser. So it isn't free, it'll cost ya an entire thousand dollars. Don't get a mac, don't use safari.

Just want to point out, Safari can also be used on iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touches (who uses those anymore), and 47% of people that have a smartphone in the U.S. have an iPhone, which can be used to access Safari. The iPad is also a very popular tablet, which also has Safari.

Apple should bring back Safari on Windows (and Linux).
Right now it's just Firefox and Chromium.

But what are the pros to using Safari compared to another browser?

More security, good design, APPLE

In any case, 3/4 of the web browsers use the apple kit to browse the internet

“APPLE” isn't a reason a product is good. In fact i'd say its the opposite

Blink was forked from WebKit 8 years ago, so they're about as related as IE and Netscape (both were based off of Mosaic).

i like safari because it caches some pages a lot which makes it load very fast which is good and bad, mostly good. really fast in terms of javascript execution and stuff but in real world usage i use firefox because its fast enough and has more privacy related features. safari's devtools dont come close to firefox's. chromium browsers and safari should learn from firefox to make devtools.

safari also has a weird update system, it updates from system update, which is the iOS updates for iphones/ipads and macOS updates for macs. a bit weird if you ask me but its fine.

ipad available for like $329 which supports safari 15

i agree. i use a mac because of build quality and the unix-based instead of just the apple logo. i wouldnt buy the pro stand even if i could afford it. i buy a product for what it is and not whoever made it.

I was just kidding X)

I use apple devices because I like the contrast between the simplicity of use and the power of the device.

“SIMPLICITY of USE”

Another one of those.. that use the OS their device comes with… and doesn't know much about how not to get 10 viruses, that rely on an Antivirus to heavily.

If you are not one of these people, don't say “Simplicity of Use” because it makes you look like one.
