Two people working on one project at the same time?
Anyone think it'd be nice if you could share editing rights to another scratcher and work on one project at the sam etime? I think it would be useful espessially with bigger projects. It could work sort of like google docs. Anyone agree?

By sharing, I don'y mean sharing a finished project to the world. I mean allowing another scratcher to edit your project at the same time as you. I know scratch can pull it off if they can make an online program for scratching. It could be like google docs. It would be very useful for big projects that multiple people work on at once. What do you say? Cool, right?

I had thought about this myself. It would be incredibly awesome for collaborating! An in-built messenger would be necessary for communication though, and the Scratch team just wouldn't allow that. A shame, really.

Would be awesome, but very hard to implement and a huge server space-waster.
I still support, but don't get your hopes up.

This would be a really good idea to add, but what if you were collaborating with someone, and they messed your project up? Collaboration is a big part of scratch, and this would make things really conveinent, but it could just spur new problems.

Well, obviously it's not just anyone who can come in to collaborate… This would be a really good idea to add, but what if you were collaborating with someone, and they messed your project up? There would have to be a system like by invites to collaborate.

They could probably host a whole new server for hosting collaborations, but don't count on that happening.

same timeUh… The main problem is that they want to work on it at the SAME time, not not at the same time. workaround: make a shared account and work together in that account. Problem solved, as long as you guys don't work on it at the

well if they worked on it at the same INSTANT either way* it would mess things up… but the way I understand what you're saying is so people could work together SIMULTANEOUSLY, which would confuse scratch, i think.
The best currently possible option is to use something like teamviewer to see each other's screens.
*with a new feature, or on the same account

It would require the servers to be a lot more active, and the website to run slow. This should be ideal for the downloaded version.

Good idea, that way the scratch server doesn't need to host all of the collaboration. It would require the servers to be a lot more active, and the website to run slow. This should be ideal for the downloaded version.

Thanks for the ride, Scratch Team and community! Unfortunately, the time has come for me to move on from Scratch, so I'll no longer be using the forums. Thanks again, and farewell!
