oh god i hope this isnt a dupe…
1.Many languages like javascript allow for this, so teaching kids about this allows them to be less confused when the “move up.”
2. Makes going to links easier. (Instead of using lists.)
Restrictions:
1. New scratchers can not use this block.
2. It can ONLY go to websites in the scratch.mit.edu domain.
3. Asks a prompt saying:
Examples:
go to url [https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/######] :: sensing // Do I really have to explain this one?Reasons why this should get in scratch:

Are you sure you want to go to (url)?
Examples:
when this sprite clicked
go to url [https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/6000563] :: sensing
when I receive [Project end v]
display [This part if the project is over. Please go to part 2.] :: custom
wait (1) secs
go to url [https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/6000563] :: sensing

Maybe this could be improved, so it doesn’t force the user to the url as this could be leaked to outside of scratch
Display URL [______] :: sensingThis would display a URL to give the user an option. It could also hide the url. The URL would show in a cyan box and would allow you to copy.

BTW: It is a prompt and can only go to the domain of scratch.mit.edu, read the whole thing

Thanks for the suggestion, but it looks like this is a duplicate (the original thread also only allows Scratch URLs and includes a prompt). Please continue there to keep all the discussion in one place.
